2 Thessalonians 1:11 – 12 KJV
Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: 12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.


ἀξιόω  axioō worthy – deserving, entitled by qualification, to think fit, right, to judge worthy

11 With this in view we constantly pray for you, that our God may deem and count you worthy of [your] calling and [His] every gracious purpose of goodness, and with power may complete in [your] every particular work of faith (faith which is that leaning of the whole human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness). 12 Thus may the name of our Lord Jesus Christ be glorified and become more glorious through and in you, and may you [also be glorified] in Him according to the grace (favor and blessing) of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

11 ·That is why [To that end; In this regard] we always pray for you, asking our God to help you live the kind of life he called you to live [make/consider you worthy of his calling]. We pray that with his power God will help you do the good things you want [fulfill every desire for goodness] and perform the works that come from your [every work of] faith. 12 We pray all this so that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ will have glory [be glorified] in you, and you will have glory in him [in him]. That glory comes from the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.


ἀγαθωσύνη  agathōsunē goodness –  pleasant virtue, joyful benevolence, excellent virtue, honourable benevolence.

May he fulfill by his power all your desire for goodness and complete your work of faith. 12 In this way the name of our Lord Jesus will receive glory from you, and you from him, by the grace of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.

ἐνδοξάζω  endoxazō glorified  – adorn with glory, decorate and enhance with splendor, honor, magnificence of divine quality

11-12 Because we know that this extraordinary day is just ahead, we pray for you all the time—pray that our God will make you fit for what he’s called you to be, pray that he’ll fill your good ideas and acts of faith with his own energy so that it all amounts to something. If your life honors the name of Jesus, he will honor you. Grace is behind and through all of this, our God giving himself freely, the Master, Jesus Christ, giving himself freely.

Heavenly Father, thank You for calling me and counting me worthy of this calling.  Father in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ fulfill all the good pleasure of Your goodness in me, and the work of faith with power in my life in order for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to be glorified in me, and I being adorned and decorated with Your splendor, Your honour, Your magnificence and divine qualities that come from Your grace and that of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

God has considered me worthy of His calling in Christ Jesus, and fit to fulfill His call of service. I am propelled to fulfill every desire of the working of faith through His miraculous power that causes the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to be glorified in me and I being adorned and decorated with His splendor, His honour, His magnificence and divine qualities that come from the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
