Teach Us How To Pray 12
1. Prayer Of Thanksgiving:
Let’s spend time to acknowledge the Lord and to honour Him for who he is in our lives. Recall all your testimonies and give Him thanks.
Psalm 7:17
I will give thanks to the Lord because of His righteousness;
I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High.
2. Healing From Traumatic Childhood Experience & Traumatic Life Experiences.
We bring our heart before God the Father, we expose it to Him, we acknowledge the negativities the traumas produced and left inside of our hearts. We bring before Him all the painful and traumatic childhood and life experiences that have impacted us before Him, and we ask for healing in our hearts in accordance with His Word.
[Feel free to write down your thoughts and any instructions that the Holy Spirit gives you]
Isaiah 61:1
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Psalm 34:18
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit
Isaiah 53:3-5
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from Him; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.
3. Forgiveness
We take this time to obtain the forgiveness wrought through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for ourselves. We also forgive any person who has offended us, and we also forgive situations and circumstances that happened to us.
Hebrews 12:1 KJV
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us
Ephesians 4:31-32
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
4. Restoration
We thank God for our redemption/deliverance. We are grateful for our total healing and restoration. We thank God that he is doing a new thing in our lives, everything we have lost has been restored, we recover all and instead of shame there is glory.
Isaiah 43:18-19
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Isaiah 61:7
Instead of your shame you shall have double honour,
And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion.
Therefore in their land they shall possess double;
Everlasting joy shall be theirs.
