These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of whatthewordsays.org (the “Site”) and any resources, products, donations or services you access through it. The Site is operated by WhatTheWordSays (“WhatTheWordSays”, “the Ministry”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a Christian ministry based in South Africa. By accessing or using the Site, giving online, or purchasing from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About us and contact details
Name: WhatTheWordSays
Email: info@whatthewordsays.org
Website: https://whatthewordsays.org
2. Use of the Site and content
All content on the Site — including devotionals, teachings, articles, podcasts, videos, images, logos, and other materials (the “Content”) — is owned by or licensed to WhatTheWordSays and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may read, listen to, watch and share the Content for personal, non-commercial and ministry purposes, provided you do not alter it and you credit WhatTheWordSays as the source.
You may not reproduce, resell, redistribute for profit, or use the Content in any misleading or unlawful way without our prior written permission.
You agree not to misuse the Site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, or interfere with its operation or security.
3. Accounts
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.
4. Comments and user contributions
Where you post comments, prayer requests or other contributions, you agree that they will not be unlawful, abusive, defamatory, hateful, misleading or in breach of anyone’s rights. We may moderate, edit or remove any contribution at our discretion. By submitting a contribution, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display and share it in connection with the Ministry.
5. Online giving (tithes, offerings, partnership and firstfruits)
The Site allows you to give online to support the Ministry, including tithes, offerings, partnership and firstfruits. Payments are processed securely through our payment providers, Yoco, and PayPal. By giving, you confirm that you are the lawful holder of the payment method used and that the funds are yours to give.
Gifts and donations are voluntary contributions to the Ministry and are not payments for goods or services.
Because they are freely given, donations are generally non-refundable. If a genuine error has been made (for example, a duplicate or clearly incorrect amount), please contact us promptly and we will consider your request in good faith. See our Refund & Returns Policy.
6. Purchases, products and orders
Where we offer resources or products for sale, the following applies:
All prices are shown on the relevant product page and, unless stated otherwise, are in South African Rand (ZAR).
We make every effort to describe products accurately, but we do not warrant that descriptions, images or other content are entirely error-free.
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only once we accept and confirm your order. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is unavailable or a pricing error has occurred.
Payment is processed securely through Yoco. We do not collect or store your card or banking details.
For physical products, delivery times and any shipping costs will be shown at checkout. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
For digital products, access or download details will be provided after payment is confirmed.
7. Refunds and returns
Your rights to cancel, return items and receive refunds are set out in full in our Refund & Returns Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
8. Disclaimer
The Content is provided for spiritual encouragement, teaching and general information. It is not intended as, and should not be relied upon as, professional medical, legal, financial or psychological advice. While we strive to keep the Site accurate and available, we provide it “as is” and do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WhatTheWordSays and those involved in the Ministry will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site, the Content, or any products or services obtained through it. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the South African Consumer Protection Act, 2008 or other laws that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites and services (such as our payment provider and social media platforms). We are not responsible for their content, products or practices, and your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
11. Privacy
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and handle your personal information.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the “Last updated” date at the top. Your continued use of the Site after any change means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
14. Contact us
