Faith Leadership: Joint Ascension & Enthronement

We love to talk about the crucifixion and resurrection.
Far fewer of us talk about the ascension and enthronement.
Yet Scripture refuses to leave us standing only at the empty tomb. It connects two truths most of us hold separately what Christ went through, and where Christ now sits.

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me” (Galatians 2:20).

That word “with” changes everything. You weren’t a spectator to His death. The old self, the striving, the shame, the patterns you couldn’t break was nailed there too.
But the same passage that joins us to His crucifixion also joins us to His ascension, exaltation and enthronement:

“And raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:6).

Together. Again!
Here’s why this matters on an ordinary Tuesday: many of us are still trying to win a position we’ve already been given. We pray from defeat instead of from our seat. We negotiate with an enemy who was already defeated.
If you went down with Him, you also came up with Him. The grave wasn’t the final word for Jesus and it isn’t for you either.
So the question isn’t whether you’ll fight your way up to victory. It’s whether you’ll start living from the place He’s already seated you.
You were crucified with Him. You were raised with Him. And right now, you are seated with Him.
