Glossalaleo: Identity, Inheritance & Ability – Day 1

Identity, Inheritance & Ability

Ephesians 3:6

That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

The Bible reveals to us an amazing truth about 3 important things that we all need to learn, understand and be conscious of in our growth and development as God’s children. These are:

1. our identity in Christ Jesus

2. our inheritance in Christ Jesus

and

3. our ability in Christ Jesus.

There’s one particular scripture I discovered that sums it all up that has become one of my most favourite scriptures of Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What’s striking is how the Apostle Paul was able to sum all these eternal truths in this one verse of scripture in Ephesians 3:6.

Now the KJV says that “the gentiles should be fellow heirs and of the same body and partakers of his promise in Christ through the gospel”.

In Christ you are a fellow heir, now that speaks of your inheritance. In Christ you are of the same body, which reveals your identity, and in Christ you are a partaker of his promise which refers to your abilities by virtue of the life that you have received.

It’s important for you as a child of God to know and understand these incredible truths of, who the gospel has made you to be, what the gospel has given to you and, how the gospel has empowered you to live.

In today’s session of Glossalaleo, we will take time to meditate and pray to ingest these incredible truths that the gospel of Christ has given us.

When you study the words that were used to reveal this truth, you’d discover and understand more clearly what the Spirit of God was trying to reveal to us about us. What the verse actually communicates is that you are a joint heir, joint body and a joint partaker of God’s promise through the gospel. Now that reveals more clearly what the KJV translators were indeed trying to communicate.

From today, be conscious of this truth. You are a fellow heir – joint heir, of the same body – joint body and partaker – joint partaker of God’s promise in Christ through the gospel.

Glossalaleo

Meditate:

Ephesians 3:6

That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs[joint-heir], and of the same body[joint-body], and partakers[joint-partakers] of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

Ephesians 3:6 NLT

And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus.

Pray:

I am a joint heir, a joint body and a joint partaker of God’s promise in Christ Jesus. I know who I am, I know what I have, and I know what I do in Christ, in the name of Jesus Christ. I share equally in the riches, I am part of the same body and I enjoy all of God’s promise of blessing made available to me in Christ Jesus.
