The Purpose & Power Of Writing: Blessed Is He That Readeth

Study The Word

Revelation 1:3
Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.”

Jesus, the very living Word of God made flesh, reveals to us a profound and incredible blessing right at the start of the book of Revelation. He says, “Blessed is he that readeth” and after that He says and “they that hear”“and keep those things which are written therein.”  Powerful!  So that means the moment you take the time to just read the written Word of God that is written here, you immediately step into a realm of blessing; you become one that is now functioning in a special blessing from Jesus Christ Himself, just for reading these things. Incredible!
There’s a transfer of a spiritual blessing from the Lord Jesus into your life from reading this writing.  That is profound; and it coincides with all that we have been learning in this series of how writing transfers spiritual things into our physical world and have divine, real-time impact all the way from the spiritual world.  So, we have now finally arrived to that place where the Lord Jesus is confirming the reality of this teaching on The Purpose & Power Of Writing.
This is writing with divine purpose, unleashing divine power.  It is spiritual writing unleashing supernatural power, ability and authority. And what you need to do going forward is to tap into it and begin to practice this form of writing consciously for the benefit of the life that Jesus died for you to live.

μακάριος makarios blessed  –  supremely blessed, happy, or fortunate, blessed by the supreme, blessed supremely

God is a spirit, and here we have revealed to us again an account of Jesus Christ the Supreme Being who has His eternal domicile in the spirit in heaven, expressing and establishing His benevolence towards every man in the earth that reads these written Words. This further reveals how writing is not only a human invention but also that writing is a gift that God gave to man as a principle of communication, transmission and expression of creativity, blessing, spiritual virtue; and for the establishment of dominion and rule.  All this power has it’s origin and source from the spirit and is all profoundly spiritual. So it is revealed and established as a truth to us that spirits function with writing.  There is a spiritual programming of physical things that writing does that has it’s origins from the spirit realm.  There is no doubt about that now as we have seen this from the scriptures.  We also see from the Word that Spirits express, establish, and are connected and or connect with each other through writing, because you know that just as much as God is a Spirit, man is also a spirit created in the image and likeness of God.  Spirits and spiritual things and substances are also transmitted and transferred through writing. So the Lord Jesus said that as you read, there’s a communication and transmission of spiritual things through the principle and medium of writing. And through reading and or just making contact with the spiritual things being communicated through the writings, spiritual blessing is transferred to you. Spiritual virtue, blessing and substance is transmitted to your life through reading this writing; such that whoever will take the time to read will receive something spiritual from the writings. This is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself making use, and putting the principle to work.  And you need to start doing the same.

Now, the Greek word for “blessed” is makarios, which means “supremely blessed.” It’s speaking of a deep, spiritual contentment and favor that is based on having everything about your life and your existence taken care of not just by anyone or anything but that comes directly from the Supreme Creator, God Himself. That’s peace, supply and security like non other.  And this blessing is attached to a specific action: engaging with this specific written Word of God. This shows us that not does God have a special reverence and premium for what is written, but primarily for His Written Word.  So, He wants us to hear the Word, but He doesn’t just want us to hear it; He wants us to read it for ourselves because He has there by the efficacy of the principle transferred His blessing through it; and then also He wants us to keep it, to treasure it and apply it.  So what are you going to do?  There’s a blessing for the reader, the hearer and the keeper, or doer.  What are you going to do?

The act of reading and keeping the written Word is an act and product of faith. It’s a statement that you believe what God has put in a book is true, as you are willing to also do it, and put it to work. This is an active participation of practicing the written revelation of God. What a life! And what follows this?  There is a reward, there is a blessing, attached to the diligence of studying, doing, and holding on to that which has been written.  Make sure that you are participating in every aspect of the benefits of the provisions of this principle of writing!
