The Purpose & Power Of Writing: The Divine Transfer from Spirit to Physical Actualization
Study The Word
Habakkuk 2:1 – 4
I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. 2 And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. 4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
The power and purpose of writing as defined in God’s Word is knowledge that will truly revolutionize your approach to life. In your understanding of this principle, God wants you to know that the very way you can now bring those things out from inside you—those divine desires, those inspired ideas God has strategically placed in your heart, those solutions He’s deposited within your spirit—and to make them tangibly real in this physical world is, first and foremost: you have to write it down.
If you want to walk in the actualization of those things that God has revealed to you, and in those things that He has said to you; or the prophetic word He gave you then writing it down is not just a suggestion; it’s a divine imperative! Because the act of writing transfers it and makes it real! It transfers those things which are spiritual from their origin in the spirit realm into the physical realm. Suddenly, that divine idea, or prophetic vision or word is now a physical document in the physical world. Did you catch that? Oh goodness! So that which was unseen, existing in the unseen spirit realm is now visible because you’ve penned it down. Some of you are going to have to read this again several times in order for your spirit to fully grasp it. Because most of us, myself included, have been so familiar and desensitized to what is actually transpiring when this is happening because with the educational system we grew up with, writing was modeled to us as a tool of literacy and nothing more. So you now have to renew your mind and relearn the power and purpose of writing as revealed to us by the Word of God. So please do go through this again and again, until your mind is renewed. Go through the scriptures repeatedly.
כּתב kâthab write – to write, record, inscribe, engrave, write in, prescribe, write on, write down, describe in writing
Let’s go back to it again: to think that something spiritual – a vision, a thought, an image, a design that is only seen by you in your heart or in your mind is not seen or known by anyone else until you transfer it from that spirit realm like as from nothingness into the physical when you put it on paper; and then suddenly everyone that is around you that couldn’t see what you were seeing now receives the same vision and picture transferred into their heart and mind; and all this is accomplished through the power of writing. This is what God was trying to teach Habakkuk in our opening scripture when He said it’s a vision that I have shown you in the spirit realm now transfer it into the physical through writing – and when someone else who is in the physical can be able to read it – the Hebrew word means “rehearse it”. And then He says the moment it is transferred into the physical world and begins to be rehearsed it will only be a matter of time, hey yaaa!! There’ll be an appointed time; it will tarry but it will surely come, glory to God! There’s no better teaching on this subject in the scriptures than this. Wow.
So, the first step, the foundational step, is to design your life; rewrite your life, write that prophetic word, create for yourself by inspiration of God a plan for your life as described in the Word of God; or that business idea, that product, whatever it is that you want to see in your life, in your family, in your career you know what it is – write it. Describe it, design it in writing. Or, is it a goal, a target – you say “this is what you’re going to accomplish in the next month, in the next week, in the next 6 months, in the next 3 months”—create it in writing; absolutely everything meticulously planned out, in writing!
חזון châzôn vision – vision, vision in the day, vision in the night, oracle, divine communication, prophecy
And when you plan, child of God, don’t make it small. Don’t limit God’s expansive vision with your finite understanding. Make it the way you truly want it, the way God, in His infinite generosity, has put it in your heart, hahaa! Put it down on paper like that, with audacious faith! Habakkuk 2:3 says, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry”. He says the very moment you put it down on the paper, it’s ready! Now, His instruction is clear: prepare for it to happen! How? You rehearse it, you read it out, over and over, every day. That’s what He’s telling you: align yourself, prepare your heart, prepare your mind, condition your system for it because it will surely come to pass!
בּאר bâ’ar make it plain – to make plain, make clear, letter it on a tablet, engrave, explain, declare, write it plainly
Don’t burden yourself with worrying about how it’s going to happen. Don’t ask how – you just do your part, follow the instruction and just witness The Purpose & Power Of Writing work. If you decide to not believe and you say “Shingi, it’s not that simple – what do you think this is?” He says in Habakkuk 2:4 “…Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.” He says your heart is filled with pride in that you’re calling the Word of God a liar. He says your heart is not upright; but the upright those that with meekness receive the Word and apply it, those are the upright, he says – “…the just shall live by his faith.” What do you mean “by his faith?” It means the application of the principle of this Word transcends your faith; you are no longer operating in your faith but you are now operating like God in applying “His faith” – God’s faith, glory to God!
This is the faith of God in operation. You get it. The power of it is working in accordance with the principle power of God’s faith!
So, God has given you a clear, simple instruction: “This is how this works. This is the divine principle.” But then if you’re full of pride in your soul, if your natural mind is resistant, you’ll immediately respond and calculate with human reasoning: “But God, do You know the multitude of problems that I have? Do You know the insurmountable challenges that I’m currently facing?”. And then you’ll question the Word of God countering it saying, “You’re telling me that I must simply write this down?”. Yes! Haha! The Bible is saying that all this that you’re now doing, my friend, is pride! Pride is when God, in His infinite wisdom, says do something, and your natural mind rebels, saying, “No, I’m going to do something else. This is how I’m going to fix my problem.” You see, your mind has been bruised by hardship to the point you think that it is by hardship that your challenges will be solved.
But then there’s another group whom the Word of God calls the just – He says those ones live by “His” faith.
This is the true SPIRIT OF FAITH.
Now 2 Corinthians 4:13 will finally make sense to you when you will look at it now as it says- “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written“, according as it is written, according as it is written! You get it!
It begins with writing, not the speaking. The speaking comes after! And then it says “…I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.” You see how consistent the order of this principle is in scripture? Absolutely incredible; you cannot make this up.
קרא qârâ’ read – pronounce, publish, read out, recall, call out, recite, cry out, proclaim, to call, preach
God, in His perfect wisdom, says, “No, what you need to do is write it and then, rehearse it and don’t worry about the rest.” But if you’re full of pride, you’ll be like, “No, it’s too simple. It doesn’t work like that. I must do something else. I need somebody to prophesy over me. I need somebody to pray a breakthrough prayer for me.” He just says, “Write it down.” Simple, but yet profoundly powerful an instruction!
So what are you going to do? That thing you desire to see manifest in your life, that vision God has placed in your heart, write it down. Put it somewhere prominent where you can see it constantly, on the wall in your room, clearly written down. Declare, “I own a thriving business. I run a successful shop. I have my own beautiful home. I live in this house, I’m fulfilling the vision of my ministry, the prophecy of my calling”. Whatever it is, detail it; design it, create it in writing, design it in writing-just like God your Father. Write it down. Better yet, if you can, put pictures there. Some people call them “vision boards,” and they are also powerful tools. Whatever you require to help you see the design, the picture of your recreated life. Maybe you haven’t been feeling well, and you maybe can’t walk or run or whatever it is that the doctor said you couldn’t do – write it down “I will walk, I will run, I will jump”. And then start to rehearse it as you read it out, until in your heart you see yourself! And when you see it, hold it and come back to it the next day, and keep doing it.
פּוּח pûach speak – breathe, come to life, animate, cause to exhale
Afterward, don’t worry about the timing, don’t fret about the actualization; just focus on doing this Word. It’s just a matter of time. Why? Because you have, by the act of writing, transferred it from your spirit. You have deliberately brought it into the physical world! You have created like God! That’s precisely why it works! It works because God Himself is the first one to do it, and He instituted it as an eternal principle for you, His child, to follow. Don’t worry, “How is it going to work?” Just do it! Just design, just write, just create! God told Moses to write it down. I will also show how He also told the prophets to write it down as we have also seen with the prophet Habakkuk. Everything had to be written first, before they could go and tell the people! Why? Because when you write it, you literally transfer it from the spirit into the physical world!
Pray The Word
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the profound spiritual principle of writing that divinely transfers the spiritual into the physical. I choose today, with all humility, to put aside all pride and choose to apply Your simple, yet powerful, instruction to design, create and recreate with Your creative power of writing. Thank You Father that as I write I’m conscious, that I am actively transferring the dreams, desires and Your divine purposes from my spirit into the physical world, literally creating my life by the power of Your divine wisdom, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Speak The Word
I write my vision; I redesign and recreate my life and my world just like God my Father; and I write my new life into existence today! What I meticulously put on paper, the principle of the faith of God Himself is enacted to bring it to pass. I transfer spiritual realities into my physical world through the undeniable power of writing. I am a joint-creator with God, just like my Father, the purpose and power of my writing is my blueprint for designing my divine destiny and divine purpose and life!
