The Purpose & Power Of Writing: Writing All Things New
Study The Word
Revelation 21:5
“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.“
Ok, let’s just say there was a little bit of doubt about the creative power of writing, even though I know that there isn’t any by now. This verse accompanied with the ones that I have revealed in this series should completely demolish whatever leftover doubts you have! Look at this – God, the One who sits on the throne and makes all things new, is giving a profound declaration about the new heaven and the new earth. He is literally recreating the universe, and the first thing He does after making this declaration is to say, “Write: for these words are true and faithful”.
Why would God, the one who speaks and things are created, command John to write? It’s because He is modeling to us, His children, the principle by which He operates. He doesn’t just speak it and leave it to chance; He establishes it by having it written down, thereby making it irreversible reality. This is the very same principle we are to follow in our own lives! When God gives you a vision, an inspired idea, or a prophetic word, what must you do? You must “Write: for these words are true and faithful.”.
That is the purpose & power of writing! The act of putting something on paper gives it a permanence that mere thought or spoken word does not have. It transfers a spiritual reality into the physical realm of materiality. When you write something down, you are acting as a joint-creator with God, using the very same principle He uses to create new realities. Your hand, a pen and paper are tools of creation, never look at them the same from this series. Your notebook is a canvas for your future, and your writing is the blueprint for your divine destiny. Start using you divine ability.
Pray The Word
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the revelation that what You speak and what You write are eternally true and faithful. I thank You for teaching me that I can partner with You in creating my life and destiny through the power of writing. I choose to write down the promises of Your Word, my dreams, and my vision, knowing that as I do, I am making them a tangible reality, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Speak The Word
I write my vision; I write my life into existence just like my Father! I am a joint-creator with God! What I write, I make real! I speak only what is true and faithful, and my writing is a testament to the faithfulness of God in my life! I make all things new by the power of the written word! Hallelujah!
