Jesus Abolished Sin

Study The Word

Hebrews 9:26 KJV
For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

There’s a truth that I’ve shared for years from my time of discovery of what Jesus Christ did for us that should ignite joy and freedom in your spirit; and that is: Jesus Christ abolished sin! Hahaa!

What does it mean to abolish something? To abolish means to formally put an end to something, whether a system, a practice, or a long standing institution. So, the bible doesn’t say that Jesus forgave sin; it says He abolished it. He didn’t just do a little something here and there to sin in order to help us manage and negotiate our lives with sin, no! The Bible says that He canceled it!

This is profound, and it’s essential for us to grasp this reality to truly live the victorious life of sinlessness, which is a reality He provided for us through the gospel. Sinlessness is one of the Seven Miracles of Righteousness, a revelation that I received from the Lord some years ago which changed my life completely and I trust that by the grace of God I will share it with you fully and I know it will do the same for you. For now I will share with you some nuggets about it. Let’s go!

ἀθέτησις  athetēsis  put away –  abolition, disannulling, cancellation, put away, repudiation

So, the Bible in our opening verse says that when Jesus “appeared at the end of the age“, His purpose was so that He could “put away sin forever by the sacrifice of himself.

The word there translated “put away”, sigh, I mean, you know some times when I read some bible translations that are out there I could get a little upset because, you read something very important like this and then you check the original word and sometimes I’m left wondering about the translators “why did you do this?” But that’s a topic we can get into another time, but if you find out what the meaning of the word is you’d understand why.  Like I was saying, the word translated “put away” is the Greek athetēsis, and athetēsis means to abolish. You get it now? Absolutely incredible! This is what that scripture is saying.  And this, that Jesus accomplished in His abolishing sin wasn’t a temporary fix like that of the yearly atonement like under the Old Testament. This was a once-for-all, Eternal Abolition! Oh glory!

Now, the very legal power and authority of sin, its right to influence you, condemn you, oppress you and impose it’s consequence on you was stripped away at the cross by Jesus Christ forever. This means that sin has no legal claim over your life anymore, hallelujah!

This understanding impacts your daily walk forever.  You can’t fully know and understand this truth and live the same, never.  You see, sinlessness is not about you ‘striving to be a better person’ or trying to do the right thing or trying to not do wrong in your own strength and understanding, no!  Someone says, “But Shingi, sinlessness is impossible, nobody can be sinless”.  See, anyone who thinks that sinlessness is impossible, like they like to say “only Jesus was sinless”.   What you have before you is a person who does not understand the gospel of Jesus Christ. That person does not understand the passion of Christ. That’s the issue. That’s why every year on this platform during Easter I go into the details in The Passion series to try and help people understand the gospel. This topic reminds me of the sinless merch that I wear; and everywhere I go it always without fail provokes a conversation which I like because it always gives me the opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with them.

When you understand the technicalities of what Jesus Christ accomplished with His death, burial and resurrection in detail, and in accordance with God’s standard for righteousness, that’s only when you’ll understand what sinlessness is, and how Jesus Christ made it possible.  The problem we have is we have people including ministers mounting pulpits who don’t understand what the gospel of Jesus Christ is. So they’re on there imposing their ignorance on those who do not care to find out the truth of God’s Word for themselves. So they say what they feel, and not what the word says! And then all I see is Christians being bashed by ministers every other day but also don’t know how to help themselves, and the minister does not know what to do with them, so he’s also frustrated with the people yelling on the pulpit “stop sinning, don’t sin!” and guess what? The do the very thing he’s threatening them not to do. What needs to happen is for the minister to prayefully study and understand the gospel of Jesus Christ, what does it mean? So that he can be empowered by God’s truth to help the people.

Now, because of what Jesus Christ did to sin for every child of God, sin is now an outside force. It is no longer something that you will have to battle with from within. Knowing this, you’d also have to understand that sin and sinlessness is also not a respecter of your good intentions and your desire of wanting to be good, and to do the right thing. Sinlessness is about exercising legal authority. Living in sinlessness is about living in authority hayaya! Living in the legal authority and power of the truth of what Jesus Christ did to sin on the cross, and imposing that authority of that finished work in your life. We are talking about spiritual authority, sinlessness is about exercising spiritual authority in the reinforcement of sins abolition.
Maybe let me bring this to something you can understand – “sin and demons are addressed in same manner like they’re in the same category!”  You get it? Oooh if only you could catch this, I pray.
Sin is a spiritual outside force just as demons are spiritual outside forces that want to influence and oppress you into the wrong things.  So, from today you will have to impose sins abolition in your life for you to enter into sinlessness, its about authority, authority in the fulfillment of Jesus’s abolishment of sin, and it’s consequences in your life forever. Just like someone can be without demons so can someone be without sin living in sinlessness! Now if you don’t know this, the deception of sin will be running circles around you all your life leaving you weak, condemned and ineffective always polluting the atmosphere with forgive me prayers.

Jesus Christ came and dealt with it and He abolished it, and then accepting that reality and truth and continuing to enforce that finished work of Christ over your life and over your environment is what sinlessness is. This is beyond good morals and nice behaviour.

This is the righteousness of God, the scepter of the righteousness of God – which is a demonstration of God’s authority over sin and lawlessness (Hebrews 1:8  – 9).  It is the only way you will ever come out of those unwanted habits, permanently. There’s no other way.  Try to treat those things nice and trust me those habits will whip you nice everytime, and you’ll be the one living a weak and frustrated life.

Lets run it back slowly – The bible says Jesus Christ abolished sin, I need that to sink in, I need to soak in you.  You are now free to live as if sin doesn’t exist for you, in terms of its power, accusation and condemnation, do you understand what that means? I hope to God that you would understand this stuff!  Christ is now in you, and you are in Christ, and in Him, the bible says there is no sin! (1 John 3:5) Sin has been dealt with definitively. From today until Jesus comes begin to live in this glorious reality and authority of your freedom from sin and it’s effects and consequences, because of Jesus’s abolition of sin and all its effects!
God bless you.

Pray The Word
Heavenly Father, I rejoice and give You thanks that Jesus Christ has abolished sin by the sacrifice of Himself. He has put away sin, canceled its power, and removed its accusation and condemnation from my life. I declare that I live in the glorious reality of Christ’s finished work of sinlessness, living everyday in the freedom Christ purchased for me, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word
Sin has been abolished! Jesus canceled sin for me! I am free from sin’s power and influence, accusation and condemnation. I live a victorious life in Christ Jesus everyday of my life, thank you Lord Jesus!

From Joint Crucifixion to Joint Enthronement

Study The Word

Ephesians 3:6 KJV
That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

Have you ever wondered, how is it that the Apostle Paul said that we have become joint heirs, of a joint body and joint partakers of the promises in Christ as the opening verse says? I remember the day I found this verse and studied it, what a day! My life changed, I could never think of myself the same from that day. Let me show it to you and I trust that this would do the same for you.

This edition is also, so that you can understand my sunesis in the mystery of Christ.

The entire chapter 3 of Ephesians brings tears to my eyes; it is very personal to my journey and life as a minister over the years.
But today we’ll focus on a few of the verses.
You can never think of yourself small or insignificant again after this.

συγκληρονόμος  sugklēronomos  ‘fellowheirs’ – joint heir, one who obtains something assigned to himself with others, a joint participant, heir together, heir with

That being said, in order for what we have in the opening verse to be established, certain criteria had to have been met. Now, what is translated “fellowheirs” there, is a legal Greek term that literally means “joint – heirs“, not “fellowheirs” or “co-heirs” as you’d have it butchered by some other translations we have out there. Rather this term is a legal term that meant that, altogether two or more people have joint-ownership and not shared ownership as co-heirs suggests. Co-heir is when multiple people would have percentage title ownership of the whole inheritance.  Sugklēronomos means that we all have 100 percent title ownership together, and without each other no one can have any title ownership, you get it? That’s sugklēronomos – joint-heir.

σύσσωμος  sussōmos  same body – joint-body, belonging to the same body

Furthermore, to get into a position where you legally become a joint-heir, joint-body and a joint-partaker of the promises in Christ through the gospel, you realize that this can only be if there first is a joint-crucifixion. By implication this would mean that everything that Jesus Christ did on the cross, he didn’t do it for Himself nor did He also do it as Himself; actually He did it ‘as you’ – implying that YOU did it. Hallelujah! Have you wondered what Jesus meant in His prayer in John 17:20 – 23? This is it.
This is what the gospel of substitution is about.
This understanding of the gospel is what led the Apostle Paul to declare “I am crucified with Christ”!

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)

Now the ramifications of this are enormous and are of an insurmountable eternal consequence. Lets go through it in sequence from crucifixion to enthronement.
The word translated into “crucified with – sustauro” is literally joint-crucifixion. In the legalities of God’s spiritual law, this means that when Jesus Christ was being crucified, you were the one being crucified together with Him in a joint-crucifixion.  Meaning, that before God Almighty, you were crucified on that day.
Which now provided the legality of us being “buried together with Him – sunthapto”, a joint-burial (Romans 6:4).  Which now allows for the provisions of Ephesians 2:5 – 6 so that we could now be “made-alive-together – suzoopoieo” which is a joint-reanimation, haha!  Let’s finish verse 6, it has two more powerful words; it says that God also “raised us up together  – sunegeiro”, that being a joint-resurrection; and lastly God “made us sit together – sugkathizo” which is a joint-seating, which I refer to as the “joint-enthronement“. Hey!
From joint-crucifixion to joint-enthronement.
What a gospel! This is the gospel of Christ!

In the court of God’s justice system, ever since that day that Jesus was crucified going forward, everyone who would receive Him was crucified on that day.  That means that you were also buried on that day. And if you were buried together with Him, it also means that you went to hell on that day.  And for you to ever go to hell again after receiving Jesus Christ would be double jeopardy. And when you went to hell, guess what, you spoiled principalities and powers together with Him on that day, and defeated Satan and his cohorts for all eternity.  It didn’t end there.

After you defeated Satan, principalities and powers together with Him, you were also raised together with Him, and you also ascended together with Him and were made to sit together with Him – a joint-enthronement. Glory to God!
So now Jesus Christ is legally the “King of ‘us’ kings and Lord of ‘us’ lords, because He successfully …made us kings and priests unto God and His Father, …through His own blood.” (1 Timothy 6:15; Revelations 1:6)
What could be better than this?
This is our reality, this is my knowledge, my understanding of the mystery of Christ.
The Apostle Paul in verse 4 to 6 of our opening scripture says, “…whereby when you read, you may understand my knowledge – sunesis in the mystery of Christ. Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; 6 That the Gentiles should be joint heirs, and a joint body, and joint partakers of the promises in Christ Jesus, through the gospel,”

Pray The Word
Heavenly Father, thank You for the precious gift of Your Son, of whom I was crucified together with, raised together with and am now seated together in heavenly places together with Him, far above all principality and power and might and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. Thank You Father that by this I am fully aware that I have become a joint-heir, and of a joint-body and  joint partaker of Your promise in Christ through the gospel.

Speak The Word
I establish today, in the name of Jesus Christ, that when Jesus died, I died with Him, when He was buried, I was buried with Him, when he defeated Satan, all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named – I defeated them together with Him. And when Jesus Christ was raised, I was raised together with Him and today I am now seated together with Him in the heavenly places of authority, in the name of Jesus Christ, with all things under my feet!

Choose life

Study The Word

Romans 8:2 KJV
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

Three thousand and half years ago, a man, a Prophet named Moses preaches a message being moved by the Holy Spirit, probably not even knowing that it was about an eternal truth of what is now our life in Christ.  And that truth will be concluded by the Apostle Paul, a truth that will transform your life forever: you have been made “free from the law of sin and death”!  The word of God we find in the Bible is not a suggestion or just random nice ideas and theories; these are the realities and everyday experiences of those who have fully accepted all the truth of all the finished works of Jesus Christ.  The law of the Spirit of life in Christ is a spiritual law that has superseded a destructive one – the law of sin and death.  So for example, just as gravity is a law, so is the “law of sin and death” being a spiritual principle that operates in those who have not accepted Jesus Christ. But now, there’s also a higher law, just as aerodynamics is also a law, so is the “law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus,” is a superior spiritual law working in the hearts of those who have accepted Jesus Christ.

ἐλευθερόω  eleutheroo  made me free – set at liberty, liberate, exempt, make free, set to freedom

Think of it like this: if a person jumps of a high cliff, they will fall due to the law of gravity. Nobody has seen gravity with their eyes or to isolate and capture it in a test tube, but we’ve all come to know that although it is invisible, it surely is real because we have seen it’s effects.  On the other hand, if the same person were to be on a plane, they’d defy the law of gravity because a higher law—aerodynamics— now being at work, although invisible we know it’s there because we see it’s effects.  Similarly, in the reality of the spiritual realm that govern human existence are these two laws at work in the lives of men – the law of sin and death, and the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus; although invisible we see their effect in the lives of men.  Galatians 5:19 – 21 details for us the effects of the law of sin in the hearts of men, and Galatians 5:22 – 24 reveals to us the effects of the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus; the latter unto eternal death and eternal separation from God and the former to eternal life and eternal union with Him.

When you receive Jesus Christ into your heart, the sin nature that is empowered by the law of sin and death is supplanted and you receive a new heart, a new life that is empowered by the law of the Spirit of life in Christ.
This higher law of life in Christ empowers you to live a superior life than the natural human life.
You are no longer compelled by an invisible appetite towards sin, because a greater power, a greater force, a superior spiritual law, the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has separated you from sin and death and liberated you for the superior and excellent life of Christ’s righteousness.  You now have the power at work in you that overcomes temptation when it comes, to resist the devil when he comes and to live in the fulness of the resurrection life in Christ Jesus, but it won’t happen automatically, you have to choose it.  Whether you know this or not, the truth is that life is one of choice; choice between sin and death or the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus; and choosing Jesus Christ is the only way of choosing life.
Moses at age 120 at the conclusion of his ministry said to the children of Israel in one of his greatest teachings and departing sermons in Deuteronomy 30:14 – 19 But the word is very nigh unto you, in thy mouth, and in your heart, that you may do it. 15 See, I have set before you this day life and good, and death and evil; 19 …I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life,”

How do I choose life Shingi? The Apostle Paul being moved by the Holy Spirit concludes Moses’s teaching over a thousand years later in Romans 10:8 – 10 and says “But what saith it? The word is nigh you, even in your mouth, and in your heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. 10 For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Imagine meeting Moses one day and saying to him, “Sir, I heard your message, I made the right choice, thank you”. And then bumping into the Apostle Paul and saying “Sir, that letter to the church at Rome, I put it work, thank you Sir, I lived the superior life in Christ”. Oh what a day.
Choose the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus today.

Pray The Word
Heavenly Father, I thank You that Jesus Christ is Lord of my life today, and the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. I declare that I operate under this higher superior law, living in Your life and power. I am free from sin’s compulsion and death’s grasp living in the liberty with which Christ made me free, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word
The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death, for what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit!

Incorruption vs. Immortality: A Clear Distinction

Study The Word

Romans 8:11 KJV
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

There is a vital distinction that many Christians including ministers kind of miss often confusing “incorruption” with “immortality,”. But, the Word of God has made a very a clear distinction between the two. Immortality is when this body completely transcends death, never able to die again and that the Bible says is reserved for the second appearing of Jesus Christ, when we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye!  1 John 3:2 says “…but we know that when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is”.

Notice the order, it doesn’t say that “we shall be like Him and then He shall appear”.  The sequence of events are clearly defined in scripture not only here but in several other verses from different writers on the same subject.
Concerning immortality and incorruption, the Apostle Paul communicated the distinction to Timothy, where he said to him that Jesus Christ is the “only one that has immortality – athanasia dwelling the light that no man can approach unto”( 1 Timothy 6:16).  That was in his first letter to the young minister.  And then in his second letter to him in 2 Timothy 1:12 he said that this Jesus Christ “brought life and (wrongly translated) ‘immortality’ instead of ‘incorruption aphtharsia’ to light through the gospel”.   This means the gospel gives men life – zoe and incorruption – aphtharsia. But the translators in the KJV translated it wrongly and put “immortality” there instead of “incorruption”. This caused a lot of confusion but its clear to see that the Apostle Paul was not confused.

ἀφθαρσία  aphtharsia  incorruption – incorrupt, incorruptibility, unending existence, deathlessness

Now, the Bible clearly reveals to us that we the children of God who are alive and remain have right now through the Gospel of Jesus Christ incorruption – aphtharsia, and not immortality – athanasia.
What is aphtharsia? The best description of incorruption – aphtharsia is found in Romans 8:11 where Apostle Paul powerfully describes aphtharsia for us: “If the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also shall quicken – “give life to” your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you.”  What does this mean? It means your physical body is still mortal, but it is being quickened – made alive by the life source of the indwelling Spirit of God that now lives in your body!  This is the state that the Apostle Paul revealed to us by the Spirit as incorruption – aphtharsia, where the divine, eternal life of God is actively working and pulsating within your mortal frame, making it resistant to the effects of sin, sickness, and decay and death producing incorruptibility!  This is our glimpse into immortality, but our bodies are not immortal yet.  It’s a foretaste of the immortality of the body that is to come, which we experience now through the indwelling Spirit and the incorruptible seed of God’s Word that is now giving your mortal body life, Glory to God!
Our opening verse reveals the supernatural mechanism by which incorruption functions in our lives. It’s not theoretical or theological; it’s a dynamic vital experience made into reality by the Holy Spirit! It says “If the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, then that same Spirit will quicken – give life to, make alive, infuse with divine vitality – your mortal bodies!” Hallelujah, what a glorious truth.

ἀθανασία  athanasia – undying, everlasting, immortality, deathlessness

So, your body is not yet immortal, but because of the indwelling Spirit of God, it is constantly being supernaturally energized and sustained by the Spirit of God producing in us deathlessness. This is the last of the Seven Miracles of Righteousness – deathlessness.  But why deathlessness?  Because death can no longer operate in the life of a child of God, which is why the Bible calls when a child of God “dies” it doesn’t say that they have “died”, but it says that they are “asleep”. Anyway, God willing I will get into the details of Seven Miracles Of Righteousness – Deathlessness again very soon.  Deathlessness is the result of incorruption – aphtharsia, why sickness, disease and infirmity cannot take root, why decay is powerless, and why your body can overcome every natural processes of corruption by the power of the indwelling Spirit Of God.
It’s the Spirit at work, mingling God’s eternal life with your physical being – this, is incorruption! This is not a teaching, I live this life, I’ve lived this life for decades now, I have proved this word, that is why you’ll never find any records of me sick from any hospital under the sun for the past 2 decades. I don’t know what it is like to be a patient, the only time I go to the hospital is when I’m going to heal the sick! This is my reality. Believe the Word of God, believe and understand this truth, child of God, and leverage it!  Aphtharsia is at work in you, awaken unto it. It’s not a future promise; it’s a present day reality activated by the indwelling Spirit and your knowledge and daily confession of this truth!

Pray The Word
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of your Holy Spirit who guided us into this truth of incorruption. I thank You Father, that Your Spirit dwelling in me quickens – vitally gives life to my physical body, infusing it with Your divine life and making it incorruptible. I live by the power of Your indwelling Spirit today in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen.

Speak The Word
I declare that my body is quickened and vitalized by the Spirit of God who dwells in me! I walk in the realm of incorruption everyday, knowing that divine life is actively preserving and empowering my physical being, resisting decay and sickness in the name of Jesus Christ!

Called To Forgive

Study The Word

Colossians 3:13 KJV
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

Forgiveness is not just a suggestion for the child of God; it is a powerful principle of our nature and character as God’s children.  This is because, forgiveness is an integral part of God’s love nature and is also a sure sign that someone is genuinely a child of a forgiving God.
A true child of a forgiving God will find that forgiveness flows effortlessly from them, even under the most difficult circumstances so that there can never be anyone with excuse for any unforgiveness. Conversely, an individual who professes to be a child of God yet struggles with forgiveness either misunderstands their divine identity or misrepresents their claim of being a child of God.

χαρίζομαι  charizomai  forgiving – give forgiveness, give pardon, give rescue, give favour, give kindness, restore one to another

As the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, we are called to love all people with Christ’s love, a love that flows in and through us with an abundance of forgiveness. So, it is natural for us to forgive, and it shouldn’t be a problem for us at all, because of the nature of Christ in us. This divine love that is in us empowers us not only to forgive, but to also bless all people with all manner of spiritual blessing we have in Christ Jesus.  no matter what the circumstance is, forgive that person today, especially those who you think do not deserve it.

Our Pray The Word and Speak The Word segments below are just an introductory model of how you can practically begin to walk and live in the power of forgiveness.  Learn it and begin to practice this today and assume your true identity in Christ. The world is filled with too many hurting and broken people filled with hate and disappointments that need you to answer your call. Your forgiving them could just be their only glimpse of the reality of the loving nature of the Living God. Refuse to reduce your calling to the lowly devilish lifestyle of walking in unforgiveness because God has called you to a higher life – you have been called to forgive.

Pray The Word
Heavenly Father, I thank You for making me into Your righteousness in Christ Jesus, with Your very love nature now on the inside of me. Father I forgive today every person and every situation or circumstance that has ever wronged, disappointed, persecuted, or hurt me in any way in the name of Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father as Your love is shed abroad in my heart by Your Spirit, I love all people, even those who have done or said hurtful things towards me. I choose to forgive as You have forgiven me, in Jesus name, amen.

Speak The Word
I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I love all people with Christ’s love that flows in and through me. I bless this hurting world of people with all the spiritual blessings of love and forgiveness, peace, grace, and kindness that I have in Christ Jesus. I forgive today every situation and every person who has ever wronged, disappointed, persecuted, or hurt me in the name of Jesus Christ.

No More Remembrance of Sin

Study The Word

Hebrews 10:2; 17
For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

There’s a spiritual reality that many believers have not yet grasped fully – the complete elimination of sin knowledge and sin consciousness in heaven. When you understand that there is no more remembrance of sin in heaven because of the blood of Jesus Christ, you begin to operate from a high spiritual dimension of consciousness and boldness that is immune to accusation and intimidation.

ἁμαρτία  harmatia  sin  –  sin, offence, violate divine law, miss the mark of divine law

This is what being made free from sin by the death of Jesus Christ is about. But unfortunately God’s children are not being taught the undiluted truth of God’s Word.  In our opening verses, verse 17 in particular says “and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more”.  How emphatic can God be about this?  He doesn’t just say “sin” but “sin and iniquity” not just sin, but “sin and iniquity” , God says I DON’T REMEMBER.  Wait, and may be you need to go and check this in your own bible, or in as many bibles as you can find just to verify, good luck, ha-ha!  Wow, for God Almighty – to say this about “sin” is already too much for minds brought up in religion but He doesn’t even stop there; He says “iniquities”.  Do you know what iniquity is?  If God says this, who is anyone to say otherwise?  Actually, I will do a thorough study in a separate edition about this but for today I’d love to show you something amazing about the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

ἀνομία  anomia  iniquity  –  transgression of divine law, lawlessness, habitual transgression, wickedness, unrighteousness

You see, the blood of Jesus Christ is not ordinary blood.  The Bible says, the life of the flesh is in the blood, but strikingly the body of Jesus Christ right now has no blood in it. And also the Bible says that His blood is in heaven right now, and that His blood is still alive with His life; and not only that but that the blood of Jesus Christ is in heaven and it speaks; and that it is still speaking (Hebrews 12:22 – 24).  Wait, wait, wait! Please, you’d need to go back and read that again. Maybe you can read it over again at least ten times, it is good for you mind.  Why do I say this? I recommend this beacuse there is something that the Bible says happens to your mind when you ruminate about the blood of Jesus Christ in meditation.  The bible says it purges your mind. It cleanses it and cleans it from the dead works of sin consciousness, to serve the living God. (Hebrews 9:14) That is the power of the speaking blood of Jesus Christ.

μνάομαι  mnaomai  remember  –  remind, recall to mind, keep in mind, recollect, mindful, remind to punish

The church of Jesus Christ has not preached this enough, they have not preached  about it as they should. But even if they don’t, the blood of Jesus Christ is doing the preaching by itself; it does the speaking by itself glory to God! So, now what is it saying? Hey, what is the blood of Jesus Christ saying? It says “You are justified, you are not guilty, you are free, you are sanctified and perfected FOREVER”! It speaks the words of our justification!

The blood of Jesus Christ is alive, and it is alive in heaven speaking, speaking, speaking the Word of our justification, speaking for the purpose of vitally purging, silencing, cleansing your conscience from sin knowledge, guilt and sin consciousness forever, thank you Lord Jesus. Not only that, it silences any and every accusation of sin and iniquity in heaven; and also the blood of Jesus Christ erased the memory of sin and iniquity from the mind of God and through out all the courts of heaven.
Whenever you hear Satan’s voice of accusation, and guilt coming against you get up start declaring “thank You Lord Jesus Christ for Your blood”.  If you miss the mark, dont start crying “Father forgive me, please, forgive me I’m sorry”.  The bible says He already knows you are sorry, but for whatever it is He can no longer recall.  And that is because the blood of Jesus Christ is too loud in heaven, it’s speaking!  If condemnation, guilt doesn’t go away, add the communion to it, and meditate on the scriptures of the blood of Jesus Christ, and see what it will begun to do to your conscience; and watch the devil, his thoughts of sin and it’s consequence, condemnation and even those nasty habits that were trying to hold you, and any other yucky stuff flee from you!

Pray The Word
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the blood of Jesus Christ that has purged my conscience from sin consciousness forever. Just as the worshippers once purged should have no more conscience of sins, I declare that I am completely free from ongoing sin awareness. Heavenly Father, through the power of Your Spirit, and the voice of the blood of Jesus Christ purge my conscience right now and forever, from dead works and evil thoughts in the name of Jesus Christ.

Speak The Word
I have no more conscience of sins because the blood of Jesus Christ has purged my conscience forever. I am free from sin consciousness and I walk in blood consciousness, speaking better things than the voice of condemnation!

Prospering in Pursuit of His Purpose

Study The Word

Genesis 39:1-4
Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt. Potiphar, an Egyptian who was one of Pharaoh’s officials, the captain of the guard, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had taken him there. 2 The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. 3 When his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord gave him success in everything he did, 4 Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned.

When God gives you a dream, it often doesn’t unfold in a straight line. Just look at Joseph! He received this incredible dream of prominence (Genesis 37:9-10), yet shortly afterward, his jealous brothers sold him into slavery for 20 pieces of silver. Imagine the confusion, the betrayal! His dream seemed to be slipping away, replaced by hardship and injustice. But here’s the powerful truth we must grasp: even in the midst of adversity, “The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered.”

חסד  chêsêd  –  steadfast love – unchanging, unending, loving-kindness, faithful love, unconditional love, patient love, giving love

This is a profound principle for every child of God pursuing God’s call: as you faithfully follow the path of God’s dream for your life, you will prosper in everything you do. Even when circumstances are dire, even if you’re sold into slavery or falsely accused and thrown into prison (Genesis 39:20-23), God’s presence – Christ in you brings an unstoppable success. The jailer himself saw it! “But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.”

That word translated “mercy” is the Hebrew word “hesed” which I have always tried to explain to God’s children that it is not mercy in the sense of the English understanding of mercy. In the Hebrew the word hesed is love, the love God would have for someone. It is used to describe when God extends His love towards someone. In many other verses hesed is translated as “lovingkindness”. Hesed is an extending, a reaching out of the love of God.
So, when you read that verse and it says “But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy,”
what it literally means is that “the Lord was with Joseph and He stretched out – extended His love toward him, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.” God sending Jesus Christ to be crucified for us, without us even asking, knowing or understanding is the greatest demonstration of God’s hesed. Romans 5:8 put it beautifully and says “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Getting back to Joseph’s life, we see that because of hesed, no matter what opposition rises against you – false accusations, attempts to get rid of you, attempts on your life or to stop you dead in your tracks – in those moments always know this: The Lord is with you. He will show you hesed, and He will grant you favor turning every circumstance meant for your demise to work out for your good. (Romans 8:32)

So, hold fast to the dream God has placed in your heart. No matter the detours, the setbacks, or the unjust circumstances, the Lord is with you and greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world(1 John 4:4) . He is orchestrating every step, turning challenges into opportunities for your prosperity and His glory. Because His dream for you is inextricably linked to His grand purpose of reconciling the world to Himself.

Pray The Word
Heavenly Father, thank You that as I pursue Your dream for my life, You are with me. I thank You for Your hesed, that causes me to prosper in everything I do, even in the face of adversity.  Thank You Father for Your precious gift of the Holy Spirit that is in me turning every challenge into an opportunity to fulfill Your purpose in Jesus name, amen.

Speak The Word
In my pursuit of God, and His dream for my life, He gives me success in all my endeavors. No false accusation or opposition forged against me can stop me, for God’s love and favour are upon my life in the name of Jesus Christ.

The Pursuit of Excellence

Study The Word

2 Corinthians 13:7 KJV
Now I pray to God that you do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that you should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.

Have you ever considered the true measure of your daily endeavors? The Apostle Paul, in his fervent prayer for the Corinthians which is of several of what we call the prayers of the Spirit, reveals a profound truth about God’s expectation for our lives: that we would do “that which is honest”. But what exactly does “honest” entail in the divine economy? It’s far more than mere integrity; the Greek word kalos, translated as “honest,” paints a vivid picture of God’s will for us.

καλός kalos – excellent, admirable, beautiful, magnificent.

This isn’t just about avoiding wrong; it’s about actively pursuing the highest standard! It is God’s will for your life, for you to do things that are excellent. When you’re on your job, you’re doing things excellently, you’re producing excellence. Imagine this: everything you put your hand to, every project, every interaction, every assignment – it should carry the hallmark of excellence. It should be admirable, beautiful, and yes, magnificent! This is how your mind should be framedTo do anything less, to do a “shanty job” , the Bible actually calls that “doing evil”. What a revelation! It is a standard of excellence that the Apostle Paul was revealing to us when he followed up our opening verse by saying, “…for we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth”(2 Corinthians 13:8).

So, everything I get involved with, that I do, I do it excellently, I do it magnificently, I do it and it’s admirable, for I can do nothing against the truth but for the truth. This is my mindset, this is my confession. This conscious pursuit of excellence is not a burden; it is the will of God for your life. It frames your mind and empowers you to release declarations for your day. When people look at the work you do, it should be admirable, making them say, “Wow, look at that!”  Even if right now you thinking, “I don’t know if I can operate at this level Shingi?” There is a truth about your life that I have come to tell you today, ha-ha!  Even if you have never done anything excellently in your entire life, it changes today!  Listen, the truth is the glory of Christ in you has the innate ability to produce excellence. There are riches of the glory that are in you that you need to know about, be conscious of and start to walk in.
This is part of what Colossians 1:27 is talking about, “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:” Awaken to this glorious life of excellence that Christ brought you into and look at yourself in the mirror everyday, or before you embark on any task and say ” I do excellent things today, in the name of Jesus Christ, Christ in me is producing the glory of excellence!”
This is the will of God for you in Christ.

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word that reveals Your perfect will for my life. I thank You for the grace to only do that which is honest, excellent, admirable, and magnificent in Your sight, doing all things for the truth of the gospel of Christ. Thank You Father, that today by the excellent glory of Christ in me everything I lay my hands upon to do is excellent, beautiful, admirable, and magnificent, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Speak The Word
By the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, I do all things for the truth. I only do that which is honest, excellent, admirable, and magnificent, because of the glory of Christ in me. When people look at my life and my work, they see the excellence of God, in the name of Jesus!

Eternal Weight of Glory

Study the Word

2 Corinthians 4:17-18 KJV
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and
eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

In this life, pressures, persecutions, and troubles are certain and abound, hehe! The bible never promised us that our life in Christ will be void of these. On the contrary, I’m sure you found out that the moment you gave your life to Christ, or the moment you began to take your relationship and call of God to next and higher level seriously, it’s like all hell has broken loose.  Don’t worry, and never worry about that. These are what I call the true signs of and signals of the authenticity of your salvation and or the authenticity of your calling. These challenges are evidences that either validate your new life in Christ, or validate your calling. As a matter fact, without these your salvation or your calling is actually questionable.  So, when you see these things in your life, don’t start crying “Lord, why me?” but rather rejoice because what you’re experiencing is as a result of the authenticity of your salvation, and the authenticity of your calling.
Furthermore, it is an opportunity for the glory that is upon your life to shine forth brightly to overthrow what your facing.

ἐλαφρός  elaphros light – light in weight, easy, small weight

Now, the things that you are going through, the Apostle Paul describes in our opening scripture as “light afflictions,” temporary hardships that are “but for a moment.” Hey!!
Why? Because they are working for us “a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory!” That means, that in order for the reality of the glorious life we now live to be revealed, they require these “light afflictions” to set the stage for a “glory reveal”. So how do we ensure that we get to expose and experience and see this glory that is in us?  He says, this glorious reality is forged not by focusing on what’s visible, but on the things which are  unseen.

θλίψις  thlipsis  affliction – a pressing, pressing together, pressure, oppression, affliction, distress, pressure anguish, burden, persecution, tribulation, trouble

The things that are seen – the visible attacks, the physical weapons, the overwhelming circumstances – are temporal. They are temporary and will pass. But the things which are not seen – the eternal truths, the eternal life that is inside you, the Holy Spirit of God who lives inside you, the innumerable company of angels that surround you, the spiritual weapons, the unwavering Word of God, and especially the name of Jesus Christ – these are eternal. Our power and victory come from looking at, meditating on, focusing on and wielding these unseen, eternal realities. This is where our triumph truly lies! So take time to meditate on these unseen realities today, and begin to bask in the weight of God’s eternal glory.

Pray The Word
Heavenly Father, I thank You that the present afflictions that I may be facing are light and temporary, working for me a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. I choose to fix my gaze not on the seen, but on the unseen realities of Your Kingdom, knowing that these eternal truths are my source of power, wisdom, provision, health, joy, peace protection and victory in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen.

Speak The Word
Any light afflictions that come my way or that I am facing right now are temporary; I’m strengthened and encouraged to face them and to go through them with a winning mentality!  The glory of Christ in me is my source of strength and wisdom to overcome.  I look not at the seen, but at the unseen word of God and the visions it produces in me always. The name of Jesus Christ, the Word of God, and His eternal truths are my unshakeable foundation and my mighty weapons, and I use them. I am focused on these eternal sources of glory everyday, hallelujah!

Your God-Given Success in Good Works

Study The Word

Hebrews 13:21 KJV
Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ.

Welcome to WhatTheWordSays’s first edition of our devotional “The Word For Today”, where I will be breaking down the word of God that we teach into bite size devotional nuggets that I trust will enrich your knowledge and understanding of God’s Word.
Today, we are unveiling another powerful truth about our God, the God of Peace!
Many people wonder, “Does God know the things I have to deal with right now? Is God aware?” The truthful answer to that is – Yes, He is! When you study the prayers of the Holy Spirit, you’ll discover that our God, because of His love for you already made plans and prepared ahead of time for you. He prepared for your life and everything that you are currently facing and will ever face in this life. He prepared ahead of time for us to have this Word, this inspiration, this knowledge, and these provisions, so that we could prosper and live a prosperous life in this generation! So, you can laugh at those who say the Bible is outdated!
For instance, the King James Version in our opening verse says, “Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight.” The Passion Translation expands on this, saying, “may he work perfection into every part of you giving you ALL that you need to fulfill your destiny. And may he express through you all that is excellent and pleasing to him through your life-union with Jesus the Anointed One.” What a prayer point! What a truth!

Let’s dig in some more, so this “good work” (
agathos ergon, ἀγαθός ἔργον). What does it mean? Our word study reveals it’s talking about a good business, a good employment, a good occupation, or good profession – a good work. The term is also used to refer to an excellent business, an excellent occupation – something that is useful, something that will benefit mankind, something that will improve the quality of people’s lives in service to God!

ἀγαθός  ἔργον  agathos ergon:  good work –  good business, good job, good employment, good occupation, good profession, excellent business, employment, excellent occupation – work, honourable work – business – employment – occupation

So, if your business, your work, your job fits into that category, it’s what the KJV refers to as a good work!  It get’s better, now, God’s will for your life in His infinite wisdom is to equip you with everything you need for that business, for that profession. Ephesians 2:10 puts it beautifully, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”   That means that God prepared ahead of time for you in this very generation. And not only that, our opening verse reveals that He prepared ahead of time for you to prosper and to succeed in every one of those good works, whatever they may be.
“But Shingi, how is this going to even happen or work for me in this current economic climate, where there seems to be unending scarcity, record high unemployment rates, people getting laid off, poverty, all around?” you may say.  See, that’s where the provisions in our opening verse come in, revealing that God prepared for us, to put us over not matter the economic climate that we find ourselves in. He did so by providing us with this prayer point of the Holy Spirit that we find in His Word that we can now use in prayer and declarations so that He can answer and prosper us in our every good work.

It says “He will make you perfect in every good work” which means, He will give you divine support to perfect and prosper you and provide for you everything you need in every good work.

So, is there a job, a business, a profession that you want to do or are currently doing and or are struggling in? Maybe you want change your work, or even get work, or improve in your current profession, start a new business maybe, or take the good work that you are already doing to the next and higher level.
The Bible says God’s will is to perfect you and to perfect everything about that job, that business, that profession, or even that work of the ministry. The Passion Translation puts it beautifully and says “work perfection…giving you ALL that you need to fulfill your destiny”, glory to God!
So that means that God is willing to give you everything you require, everything you need, so you can succeed in that business, that job, that occupation! He is willing to give you everything that you need to get into that job. What does this knowledge do for you? Well, now you know that you cannot fail! No, never, not with this prayer point of the Holy Spirit. You cannot fail in your business, you can never fail to get into a job, you can never fail in your ministry!
This is God’s will for you, these are the things that sets us apart from everybody else, and puts us over.  That God Almighty loves us, and prepared ahead of time for us, and made ready for us in a prayer point of the Holy Spirit that we can begin to use today in prayer, praying this perfect will of God over our lives unto unending success. It doesn’t matter the economic climate, you can never be disadvantaged, you can never fail.
This knowledge marks the end of struggle. You will fulfill your destiny perfectly, because God Almighty will give you everything you need!
You are a success! You are successful! You will succeed!

Pray The Word
Heavenly Father, You are the God of Peace that raised Jesus Christ up from the dead. Strengthen, complete, perfect, and equip me, working perfection into every part of my life with Your goodness so that I may perfectly carry out Your will. Provide me with everything I need for every good work. Heavenly Father, grant me, equip me, with every good thing that I require to fulfill my destiny in Christ Jesus. Work and express in and through me Father, all that is excellent and well-pleasing to You in my business, job, work, occupation, and ministry, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word
The God of Peace that raised Jesus Christ up from the dead, perfects, and equips me, giving me everything that I need working perfection into every part of my life with His goodness to prosper. I am equipped to perfectly fulfill my destiny in my business, in my profession, and in the work of the ministry. God provides me with everything I need to succeed. I’m a success! I am divinely equipped today and always, sponsored with every good thing that I require to fulfill my destiny in that business, job, profession, and in the work of the ministry, which are the good works he prepared for me ahead of time in Christ Jesus!

I am blessed to be a blessing in this week, I am favoured on every side, none of my steps shall slide, goodness and mercy follow me this week. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Prayer of Praise and Thanksgiving

Hebrews 13:15 KJV

By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.

Pray The Word

Colossians 1:9 – 12 KJV

For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, unto all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness;   Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.

Speak The Word

Heavenly Father, Thank You for this brand-new week. Thank You for filling me with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. I declare that throughout this week and always, I walk worthy of the Lord. I declare that I am fruitful and successful in every good work; I am always increasing in the knowledge of God; therefore, grace and peace are multiplied unto me. I am strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power, unto all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness. I thank You, Father, that You have made me a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light. I am blessed to be a blessing in this week; I am favoured on every side; none of my steps shall slide; goodness and mercy follow me this week. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
