100 Days Of Faith For Prosperity: Day 5

Meditate On The Word:
Genesis 12:1 – 4 KJV
1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

[ בְּרָכָֽה  berâkâh  blessing – source of blessing, blessing, prosperous, praise of God]

Genesis 12:1 – 4 UST
1 {One day} Yahweh commanded Abram, “You must leave behind your homeland and your relatives, including your father’s family, {and move} to the land that I will guide you to.  2 I will make you {and your descendants} become an important people group, and I will bless you {all}. I will make you important {and well-known}, and you {and your descendants} will bless {many people}. 3 I will bless everyone who blesses you, but I will curse anyone who curses you. I will use you {and your descendants} to bless all the people on the earth.” 4 So Abram left {the city of Haran} just as Yahweh had commanded him {to do},

Genesis 12:1 – 6 MSG
God told Abram: “Leave your country, your family, and your father’s home for a land that I will show you.
2-3 I’ll make you a great nation and bless you.  I’ll make you famous; you’ll be a blessing.  I’ll bless those who bless you; those who curse you I’ll curse.  All the families of the Earth will be blessed through you.” 4-6 So Abram left just as God said,

Genesis 12:1 – 3 The Voice
One day, the Eternal One called out to Abram.
Eternal One: Abram, get up and go! Leave your country. Leave your relatives and your father’s home, and travel to the land I will show you.  Don’t worry—I will guide you there. I have plans to make a great people from your descendants. And I am going to put a special blessing on you and cause your reputation to grow so that you will become a blessing and example to others. I will also bless those who bless you and further you in your journey, and I’ll trip up those who try to trip you along the way. Through your descendants, all of the families of the earth will find their blessing in you.

Pray The Word:
Thank you Father for bringing me out of my father’s house and bringing me into the new lineage of Jesus Christ and into Your divine land called Christ. Thank you Father for making me great, for it is in Your hand to make great. You have made me an important and well known people group in Christ Jesus. And as Abrahams seed, thank You for making me a blessing and making my name great. Thank You for using me to bless all the people on the earth in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray, amen.

Speak The Word:
I am Abraham’s seed and an heir according to the promise, called into Christ
from out of my earthly lineage into the lineage of Christ.
God has made me great, blessed to be a blessing and well known, and through
Christ in me all of the nations of the earth are blessed.  A special blessing is at work in my life which causes my reputation to grow so that I become a blessing and example to others and all the families of the earth find their blessing in me.

Prayers Of The Spirit

When we talk about Prayers Of The Spirit, “what does it actually mean?”, you say.  Now, prayers of the Spirit specifically refer to the prayer points that were inspired by the Holy Spirit and where written for us as a part of the epistles that were given to the church by the Apostles by inspiration of God. You’ll find these as prayers or prayer points that the Apostles wrote as prayers for the church, the body of Christ.

These prayers were not the desires of the Apostles as some people would think but actually prayers that were written by inspiration that the Apostles received from God.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 says All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

This informs us that the prayers that the Apostles wrote for us in scripture actually were from God hence we here at WhatTheWordSays refer to them as The Prayers of the Spirit which is short for The Prayers of the Holy Spirit. In other words these are the intercessory prayers of the Holy Spirit for the body of Christ through the Apostles revealing and expressing God’s perfect will for us.

Romans 8:27 says And He that searcheth the hearts knows what is the mind of the [Holy] Spirit, because He [the Holy Spirit] makes intercession for the saints according to the will [the Word] of God.

Therefore these Prayers of the Spirit that we have written for us by the apostles in scripture could be the interpretations of the groanings which can not be uttered of the Apostles for the church, at which point they in-turn wrote them to the churches. These prayers reveal to us the perfect will of God for every child of God.

By knowledge of this a child of God no longer has to be confused or wonder what God’s perfect will for their life is. That search comes to an end. And not only will the child of God have knowledge of God’s will for their life but also they are given to us as prayers that one can pray – this perfect will of God over our lives and begin to walk in absolute fulfilment as sons of God.

These prayers of the Spirit are critical for the child of God’s spiritual development. I myself have been praying these over my life for years, and I also used them for my intercessions for the saints that the Lord asked me to pray for over the years.  I still pray these today, and what a glorious blessing they have been.

Below we have for you a compilation of all of the Prayers Of The Holy Spirit that you can use as prayer points for your personal growth and also, especially if you are a Pastor or minister of the gospel overseeing or leading a church, you ought to pray these in intercession for your members.

These should be compulsory prayers that you pray for all your members because these prayers are God’s desire and God’s perfect will for His people regarding their personal growth which you have become partly responsible for. It comes with the priestly responsibility of your office.

So, these prayers are not optional, infact they are critical for the spiritual development of every child of God.

Personalise the prayers below not only for yourself but also for your church members and for those that the Lord has instructed you to stand in the gap for.

We also have for you a prepared prayer program resource on this website titled “15 Days Of Prayers Of The Holy Spirit”, where we have developed a study with personalised prayers and declarations of these Prayers of the Holy Spirit that we go through in teaching and prayer together with you. SPIRITUAL WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING.

Ephesians 1:16 – 21
16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,  20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

STRENGTH AND KNOWLEDGE OF GODS LOVE.

Ephesians 3:14 – 19
14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which surpasses knowledge, that you might be filled with all the fulness of God.

IMPARTATION OF SPIRITUAL GIFTS.

Romans 1: 10 – 12
Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you. 11 For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end you may be established; 12 That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

ENRICHMENT IN UTTERANCE, KNOWLEDGE AND ALL SPIRITUAL GIFTS.

1 Corinthians 1: 4 – 7
I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; 5 That in every thing you are enriched by him, in all utterance(logos), and in all knowledge(gnosis); 6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: 7 So that you come behind in no gift(charisma); waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:  8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

GRACE, LOVE AND FELLOWSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

2 Corinthians 13:7;14
Now I pray to God that you do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that you should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates. 8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. 14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.

COMPLETION OF THE WORK OF CHRIST IN US.

Philippians 1:3 – 6
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, 4 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, 5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; 6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

GROWTH IN LOVE, KNOWLEDGE AND DISCERNMENT.

Philippians 1:9 – 11
And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;  10 That you may approve things that are excellent; that you may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;  11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

SPIRITUAL WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING AND SPIRITUAL POWER.

Colossians 1:9 -12
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 That you might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; 12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

SANCTIFICATION.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 – 24
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Faithful is he that calls you, who also will do it.

FULFILMENT OF GOD’S GOOD PLEASURE IN US.

2 Thessalonians 1:11 – 12
Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: 12 That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

DELIVERANCE AND PROTECTION FROM WICKED MEN AND EVIL.

2 Thessalonians 1:1 – 5; 16
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:  2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.  3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep you from evil. 4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that you both do and will do the things which we command you. 5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.
16 Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.

Philemon 1:4 – 6
I thank my God, making mention of you always in my prayers, 5 Hearing of your love and faith, which you have toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; 6 That the communication of your faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

PERFECTION IN THE EXECUTION OF HIS WILL AND EXECUTION OF GOOD WORKS.

Hebrews 13:20 – 21
Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,  21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

PERFECTED, STRENGTHENED, ESTABLISHED AND SETTLED IN GOD.

1 Peter 5:10 – 11

SUCCESS, PROSPERITY AND DIVINE HEALTH BOTH MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY.

3 John 2
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

What It Means To Be Born Again

John 3:3-7
Jesus answered and said to him, truly, truly, I say to you, unless a man is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb and be born? Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, …That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, you must be born again.

When we talk about being born again, many people do not fully understand what it means. Some see being born again as a wonderful experience that happened when they got convicted and went to the front in church and the Pastor prayed for them for their sins.  Some others think it’s a phenomenon that describes a group of religious fanatics that believe in Jesus Christ. But being born again is way more than that. It is neither just a wonderful spiritual experience nor a religious terminology of a weird group of Christians.

Being born again is the greatest miracle of “Christianity”!  As shown in the above scripture, the term itself was taught by Jesus Christ Himself to refer to the miracle of the recreation of the human spirit.  The original Greek term that is translated to born again is anōthen which when correctly rendered would be “born from above”. What did Jesus mean by born from above? His reference to “above” referred to being born from heaven.  Now when someone says “I’m born again/born from above,” that doesn’t mean the person has made a mental or emotional decision to turn a new leaf.

It also doesn’t suggest that the person has now suddenly transformed his mind and changed his old way of living and now has this new way of living his or her life. The person who’s born again is not someone who has merely been reformed or has made new decisions and resolutions to be a good and nice person.  Thinking this way is minimizing the impact and power of the miracle of the new-birth in Christ.

When someone is born from above, actually what it means is that not only has God completely remitted the person’s sin, but also that the person is completely born anew by receiving a new spirit from God the Father.  Being born again means your human life is completely supplanted with the eternal, divine heavenly life of God. It makes you hundred percent divine, with the innate ability to manifest the life, nature, power and other divine attributes of God.  This new birth is what makes you a new creation (2Corinthians 5v17), with the same life and nature of God. (2 Peter 1v4).

1 John 5:11
And this is the record, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that has the Son has life; and he that has not the Son of God has not life.

When you get born again, it’s not a good experience that just happened to you, actually a spiritual birth that originated from heaven with God took place in your human spirit that gave you a new life and nature on the inside of you.
For example, when a baby is born, its not just a mere experience in that way, but actually a real person with a new life is born and comes on the scene.  And it’s the same when you’re born again, but this happens spiritually.  An actual spiritual birth takes place through the agency of God’s Word and His Spirit.  When this happens, God who is the Father of spirits becomes your Father, which is what makes you a child of God in reality.

Hebrews 12:9
Furthermore we have had Father’s of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?.

So being born again is much more than an experience or just something a certain group of Christians think has happened with their minds. It’s actually the beginning of the God-life in the human body.  And this eternal, divine life that you receive is what gives you the ability to have a personal relationship with God, “the creator and monarch of the universe,” without a condemnation, fear or guilt.

All this is because of God loves you, that He sent His Son the Lord Jesus Christ to be condemned and judged for your wrongs, and also for the wrongs of all humanity. And you, by believing in Jesus your sins will be completely blotted out, and you’d be able to receive Gods divine life, “eternal life” into your human spirit and be BORN AGAIN.

God bless you, and remember that this is your time!

Submit yourself to the righteousness of God

Romans 10:3
For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Now that you are a child of God, instead of “trying to become a better person,” which never works, what you need is to submit/surrender yourself to the person of Jesus Christ. This is submitting yourself to the righteousness of God by faith in Jesus Christ. The righteousness of God is a righteousness that you have to submit to, as it expresses your new self in and through you and as you learn more about it in the word of God. Your responsibility is to continually submit to it.

Now, having come into Christ, don’t get stuck again in the religious race of “I’m trying to become a better Christian, or a better person,” it’s not going to work.  What you will need is the continuous revelation of Christ living in you and consciously responding by yielding to the expression of the revelation of Christ in you as revealed to you in Gods Word. This is the expression of righteousness of God in you.

Now how do you know that this is now a reality? See being a child of God is more than following a set of religious rules, it’s a life that has the righteous nature of Christ pulsating on the inside of you.  And because of this you’ll now discover that when you do something that is inconsistent with this new righteous nature that is now on the inside of you, deep inside your inner most core that righteous nature of Christ through the Holy Spirit will send you a signal, or a notification via an emotion or a thought message to your mind that what you just did was not right. The Lord Jesus Christ described it this way,

John 16:8;10
..and when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement: 10 of righteousness because I go to my Father and you see me no more;

For the born again child of God the Holy Spirit will reprove you of righteousness. Remember that it is “of righteousness” and not “of sin”. The Holy Spirit reproves “the world of sin” because they believe not on Jesus Christ; so that part is not for you as a child of God.  The Holy Spirit doesn’t need to reprove you of sin anymore because the righteous nature of Christ that is in you will alert you everytime you act against the new nature that is now in you. What the Holy Spirit now does is, He will direct you towards what the righteousness of God is in the matter, that is what the Lord Jesus was referring to in John 16:10.

So stop struggling and submit yourself to the righteousness of God that is in you.  This submission is continuous as you grow and learn about the life of righteousness that is at work in you through submitting to the promptings of your spirit towards righteousness and most importantly as you learn and imbibe more of God’s Word.

The Word of God is the absolute truth of your new identity in Christ Jesus. Dont be discouraged when you fall into some bad behaviours or habits. That discomfort you’re feeling is a sign that the righteousness of God is working in you. For someone who is not a child of God, they’ll do terrible things and not feel anything at all.

So cheer up, acknowledge and accept that you were crucified with Christ, yes, you are alive, but it is no longer you that lives but Christ now living in you.  (Galatians 2:20)

This RECREATED HUMAN spirit that has made you a new creation and a child of God has these righteous expressions and signals that you consciously have to yield yourself to every day as you grow.

Pay attention to them and yield to them and watch your life grow in the manifestations of righteousness.

God bless you.

3 Manifestations Of Righteousness

Ezekiel 36:27
And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my judgments, and do them.

There are 3 levels of the righteousness of God through faith in Christ Jesus that every child of God needs to be conscious of.

FIRST LEVEL, is the righteousness of God that is imputed onto you as a result of your believing with your heart in the Lord Jesus Christ. This righteousness that is imputed works in the faculties of your mind, will and emotions, dispelling fear, guilt, shame, inferiority and condemnation.  Romans 10:10 reveals to us that with the heart man believes unto righteousness. And we have taught that the heart compromises of a mans spirit and his soul (mind, will and emotions) and believing is to think to be true. So this level of the working of righteousness works in you mind, your will and in your emotions as you hear, understand and accept the gospel of Jesus Christ.

At this level your conscience is cleansed by the power of the gospel and activates in you a consciousness of God and His love for you, producing inner peace, assurance and confidence towards God Almighty. Suddenly you have an awareness that God is not angry at you. This gives you the confidence and boldness to approach God’s presence without condemnation, fear and guilt. This is a work that happens in your soul (your mind, will & emotions).

This is the righteousness that was imputed unto Abraham when the bible in Genesis 15:6 where it says “And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.” Through Abrahams interaction with the plans and purposes of God and His discovering of all the good  that God is and all the good that wanted to do for him, all of it being a working of his interactions with the word of God in his mental faculties, it produced in Abraham a good conscience toward God. He no longer feared God.  The Apostle James put it this way in James 2:22 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.”  Abraham believed and became God’s friend, this what the level of the imputed righteousness does for you.

SECOND LEVEL, is the righteousness of God that is imparted into you as a result of your faith in Christ Jesus.  This righteousness is deposited into your human spirit giving you that intrinsic divine ability to do what is right in accordance with God’s statutes and judgements.  This is what our opening verse of scripture from Ezekiel is talking about.
When God said through the prophet that “I will put my spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my judgements and do them.”  This is the righteousness of God that is imparted into tour spirit at the new birth.  It is a work that happens in your spirit that gives you a new nature and a new life, changing your human spirit into a divine one with the attributes of the Father.

This is a nature swap. This is the miracle of Christianity that makes a you a new creation.  You become the righteousness of God in nature making you a partaker of God’s divine nature in reality over and beyond what your mind can compute.  You can now naturally express what is right.

THIRD LEVEL, is the righteousness of God that is a divine empowerment to impose and enforce rightness.🤭  It has to do with preeminence and dominion.  Preeminence and dominion over all things, and the power and authority to enforce it.  This righteousness of God is a power; its not mental or physical natural strength.  This righteousness is a demonstration and expression of the supernatural power of Gods nature.  It is a combination of the working of the 1st and 2nd level of righteousness in unison to enforce the righteousness of God outside of ones self, i.e. your environment and things and beings that are in it.
It is the simultaneous display of expressions of power and authority in word and action propelled and generated from the divine quality of a mans spirit to enforce the righteousness of God to correct things that are outside of ones self.  This righteousness of God is expressed through a demonstration of power with great authority. It’s when righteousness is expressed through your spirit, soul and body impacting things and beings around you and your environment.

This is and was the life and purpose of Jesus Christ when He walked in the streets of Israel; this is why He was the way He was then and is the way He is today. It is the calling of every child of God.  It’s more than being nice, singing songs and gathering for religious festivals.  It’s a life of demonstrating spiritual power, which is the righteousness of God.  It’s a demonstration of the power of Gods nature.   So, when something was not right in the environment or in the lives of others for example, Jesus Christ demonstrated the righteousness of God in power to correct it.

And for a Christian today, if something is not going right in your life, or in the lives of those around you and your environment, you’ve been called to demonstrate the righteousness of God in power to correct it!  And there are tools that the scriptures have revealed to successfully accomplish this.

The key to the working of these is acknowledgement;

Philemon 1:6
That the communication of your faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

The acknowledgement of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus are activated through confession, and confession activates consciousness which leads to demonstration and expression.  Start practicing this today by compiling a list of scriptures that reveal who you are in Christ and start a discipline of confessing these daily and begin enjoying the blessing of God’s working of righteousness working in and through you to bless not only yourself, but others around you and your environment.

Faith: The Spoken Word For Healing & Divine Health

Congratulations!

You have arrived at the beginning of your miraculous journey of divine health in divine life.  For you to begin to experience the power of the Word of God for healing and health, prayerfully make declarations of these for at least 15 to 30 minutes twice or three times daily.

In order to get results follow the above instructions and do not stop until symptoms, pain or physical ailments have completely stopped or no longer visible.

Remember, the Bible teaches that God uses His Word to heal. When He wants to heal, it is accomplished by the power of His Word. And that Word has been sent to us already. The prayers and declarations below are all based on that Word that He sent to produce healing and health in us.

Psalm 107:19 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.  20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

Proverbs 4: 20  My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.  21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.  22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

The Hebrew word translated health is marpe, and marpe is the Hebrew word for medicine and or cure. So the Bible teaches us that the Words of God are medicinal and curative.

Say these prayers and declarations below that are based on God’s Word out loud every day and witness the power of God work in you.

Also make some time to read the supporting scriptures.

God bless you.

Challenges Don’t Stand a Chance: Equipping Yourself with Prayer for Every Hurdle.

We’ve been having a great time of fellowship during our Monday and Thursday prayer sessions, and we’ve witnessed the amazing things that happen when believers come together in prayer.

We have also been sharing more about the purpose of prayer and looking into what God thinks about prayer. Whenever we want to engage successfully in an activity, its best practice to look at the instructions to be successful in that particular activity, and it’s no different with prayer.

When we read God’s word we not only receive the blueprint for prayer, we see examples of men and women of prayer.

Daniel 9:3 AMP

So I directed my attention to the Lord God to seek Him by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth and ashes.

James 5:18 KJV

And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.

Ezra 10:1 AMP

Now while Ezra was praying and confessing, weeping and laying himself face down before the house of God, a very large group from Israel, of men, women, and children, gathered to him, for the people wept bitterly.

Acts 16:25 – 26 NASB

Now about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them; 26 and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone’s chains were unfastened.

Luke 6:12 AMP

Now at this time Jesus went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer to God.

It’s so inspirational to see how God’s powerful prophets, apostles and even the master himself depended on a lifestyle of prayer. These scriptures let us know that to live the Christian life successfully and dominate the circumstances of life we need to be actively involved in prayer.

We also spoke about those difficult circumstances of life, have we prayed about them more than we have complained about them? We sometimes find ourselves in a position where we know that prayer changes things, but do we believe that prayer can change ALL things or have we relegated prayer to only the things that our minds believe it can change?

Can prayer change that difficult relationship with a parent? Can prayer heal a broken heart filled with disappointment? Can prayer change an unfavourable diagnosis? The answer to even the most challenging situation is YES, prayer changes things, we just need to dare to believe the word of God and step into action.

Philippians 4:6-9 AMP

Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. 7 And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].

Be encouraged on your prayer journey, that it is the desire of the father to have you fellowship with him, and also experience great transformation in the place of prayer.

The Perfect Will Of God

Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Understanding the perfect will of God comes through first recognising who and what scriptures represent and their eternal significance and importance. Too many of God’s children do not yet understand what the scriptures are. The scriptures are language containers of the Spirit Word Of God. They contain the essence of the Spirit of the Creator Himself.

The scriptures are the perfect will of God. This means that they provide us with the accurate revelation of God’s intentions, plans and desires for a person, a people, a place, a time or a thing.

I grew up as Christian during a time where there was an understanding that the scriptures were the general will of God, and the Holy Spirit was the source of the perfect will of God. My spirit always had a problem with this, until I found out #whatthewordsays.

It’s important to note that the scriptures are the perfect will of God, and the Holy Spirit guides us into the specific details of His will. While the scriptures don’t explicitly tell us every specific choice or decision we should make, they are the perfect will of God and the source for which the Holy Spirit can direct us into the specifics. By aligning ourselves with the Word of God and following what it says, we can be assured that we are walking in His perfect will.

Jesus Himself valued the scriptures and acknowledged their significance. He had a relationship with the scriptures.  He declared that He came to fulfil what was written about Him in the scriptures. Jesus’ relationship with the scriptures demonstrates the importance of the written Word. If the scriptures were this important in Jesus’s life, how much more you?

It was written in the scriptures that Jesus would enter Jerusalem riding on a donkey, and He fulfilled this prophecy by instructing His disciples to bring Him a donkey that had been prepared. Jesus’ obedience to what was written of Him exemplifies His alignment with the perfect will of God. Therefore, it is crucial to meditate and rely on the scriptures for every aspect of our lives, as they reveal God’s perfect will for us, and in so doing the Holy Spirit will give us clear specifics of His will.

The word of God lets us know in 2 Corinthians 3:18, that it is possible for a Christian to move from glory to glory and the same glory can be seen in our prayer life, we shouldn’t be satisfied with powerless prayer, we should instead learn the rules of engagement for prayer and excel in it.

The lifestyle of prayer:

In Luke 18:1 The Lord Jesus Christ says: ‘Men ought always to pray and not to faint’ this lets us know that the
lifestyle of a Christian is a lifestyle of prayer. The lifestyle of a Christian is a lifestyle of Fellowship, where we
engage with the Lord, engage with the Word and engage in the realm of the spirit.

What is prayer?:

Before we engage in prayer it’s important to understand what prayer is and why we pray! Prayer is more than asking God to meet our needs, or calling upon him when we get into a fix [even though this is permissable] Prayer is first and foremost fellowship with our creator, with his word and with his spirit. The purpose of prayer is communication with the father (Phillipians 4:6-7 )and to exercise our authority (Mark 11:20-24) Prayer also has so many benefits from; fellowship, to making requests and supplications, enforcing the will of God into our circumstances, prophesying into our future and so much more (Ephesians 6:18)

In Luke 11:1 we see that the disciples are engaging the master and they ask him ‘teach us how to pray’ this question lets us know that there is a way to pray, and various modes of prayer for different occasions. (Ephesians 6:18)

Glossalaleo: Identity, Inheritance & Ability – Day 1

Identity, Inheritance & Ability

Ephesians 3:6

That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

The Bible reveals to us an amazing truth about 3 important things that we all need to learn, understand and be conscious of in our growth and development as God’s children. These are:

1. our identity in Christ Jesus

2. our inheritance in Christ Jesus

and

3. our ability in Christ Jesus.

There’s one particular scripture I discovered that sums it all up that has become one of my most favourite scriptures of Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What’s striking is how the Apostle Paul was able to sum all these eternal truths in this one verse of scripture in Ephesians 3:6.

Now the KJV says that “the gentiles should be fellow heirs and of the same body and partakers of his promise in Christ through the gospel”.

In Christ you are a fellow heir, now that speaks of your inheritance. In Christ you are of the same body, which reveals your identity, and in Christ you are a partaker of his promise which refers to your abilities by virtue of the life that you have received.

It’s important for you as a child of God to know and understand these incredible truths of, who the gospel has made you to be, what the gospel has given to you and, how the gospel has empowered you to live.

In today’s session of Glossalaleo, we will take time to meditate and pray to ingest these incredible truths that the gospel of Christ has given us.

When you study the words that were used to reveal this truth, you’d discover and understand more clearly what the Spirit of God was trying to reveal to us about us. What the verse actually communicates is that you are a joint heir, joint body and a joint partaker of God’s promise through the gospel. Now that reveals more clearly what the KJV translators were indeed trying to communicate.

From today, be conscious of this truth. You are a fellow heir – joint heir, of the same body – joint body and partaker – joint partaker of God’s promise in Christ through the gospel.

Glossalaleo

Meditate:

Ephesians 3:6

That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs[joint-heir], and of the same body[joint-body], and partakers[joint-partakers] of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

Ephesians 3:6 NLT

And this is God’s plan: Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus.

Pray:

I am a joint heir, a joint body and a joint partaker of God’s promise in Christ Jesus. I know who I am, I know what I have, and I know what I do in Christ, in the name of Jesus Christ. I share equally in the riches, I am part of the same body and I enjoy all of God’s promise of blessing made available to me in Christ Jesus.
