Prayers Of The Spirit: The Divine License to Prosper

Study The Word

3 John 1:2 (NKJV)
Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”

Today we have one of the most powerful prayers of the Holy Spirit found in the entire New Testament. This is the final prayer point of the Spirit in the epistles, and what a glorious conclusion it is! Notice carefully that in the King James Version, the translators rendered this as “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper...” but when you conduct your word study, you discover that the Greek word is euchomai, which is prayer.  So this wasn’t merely a casual wish from the Apostle John to his friend Gaius—this was a prayer inspired by the Spirit of God!  A prayer of the Spirit!

εὔχομαι euchomai pray – to pray, wish, desire, make a vow, invoke blessing

Think about this: some people have the audacity to go around telling God’s children that prosperity is not God’s will for them. They’ve even coined a term—”the prosperity gospel”—as if it were something unscriptural or dangerous. But I want you to understand something today: there is no such thing as a “prosperity gospel.” The gospel, in its purest form and totality, makes men prosper!
The embodiment of the Word of truth from Genesis to Revelation—you cannot go through all of that and come out with the conclusion that prosperity is not part of God’s plan for His children. There must be something wrong with your understanding if you arrive at such a conclusion!

The same people who peddle this ignorance even on big platforms and pulpits, if you ask any or all of them whether they want their own children to prosper or not, if they sincerely were to answer, they will all tell you that do want their own children to prosper. In fact they wake up day and night going about doing everything they can to provide for their children so that their children can have a chance to prosper in life.  And then they have the audacity to claim their speaking on behalf of God saying prosperity is not God’s will? Foolery!

Thank God for the Bible!  3 John 1:2 is a prayer of the Spirit! It was given by inspiration of God to the apostle, written to express the Spirit of God’s intent for a child of God, and therefore it reveals to you the plan and the purpose and the will of God for the prosperity of His children. What kind of loving father would not want his children to prosper? You, as a parent—don’t you want your children to prosper? The same people who claim God doesn’t want His children to prosper are the very ones working day and night to ensure their own children succeed! Can you see the double standard? The hypocrisy?  Don’t listen to that nonsense!  Listen to the word of God!

εὐοδόω euodoō prosper –  a prosperous and expeditious journey, to lead by a direct and easy way, to grant success, to prosper

Now look at this word euodoō—the Greek word translated “prosper.” It means to have an easy path to success, a prosperous and expeditious journey of success! Who wouldn’t want that? God wants you to have an easy way to success. He wants you to succeed easily, to have an easy journey of success in all things. This is incredible! God has literally designed for you a direct and easy way to prosper in everything you do. He wants you to succeed in your business affairs, in your profession, in your ministry, in your relationships—in all things!

So if anyone still has a problem accepting this truth after going through such a word study and they claim to be speaking on behalf of God while saying that prosperity is not His will for you—that is absolutely rubbish!  Just walk away, don’t even waste time. It’s a lie from the pit of hell!

Here’s what you must understand: all Scripture is given by inspiration of God. Whether the apostles were writing to the church in Galatia, whether Paul was writing to Timothy, whether John was writing to Gaius—it was all given by inspiration of God. That makes it the will of God. It tells you God’s intent. And if God’s intent for you is to prosper in all things, then why would somebody go through the Word of God and come out saying the opposite?  Make it make sense.

ψυχή psuchē soul –  the seat of feelings, desires, the mind, will and emotions

The Amplified Version captures it beautifully: “Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeed and prosper and be in good health physically, just as I know your soul prospers spiritually.” So God has given you a license to prosper. He has given you a license to succeed. This license was purchased through the death, burial, and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ. You have the divine authorization to prosper in everything that you lay your hands upon to do! Prosperity is at work in you—24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Only prosperity, only success at work in your life! Hallelujah!

So don’t let anybody ever cheat you. Don’t let anyone deceive you into thinking that prosperity is not for God’s children. God put this prayer in Scripture so that you can establish His plan and His purpose of prosperity for your life. Everywhere you go, there’s only success. Everything you do, there’s only prosperity. Everything you get involved with prospers in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth!
Go and prosper!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You that it is Your will for me to prosper in all things. I reject every lie that says prosperity is not part of Your plan for my life. I thank You that You have given me a divine license to prosper, to succeed, and to have an easy path to success in everything I lay my hands upon to do. I enforce Your will for prosperity in my life today, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

I have a divine license to prosper! God’s will for my prosperity is established in my life today. Everything I lay my hands upon to do prospers and turns to success. I prosper in my business, I prosper in my profession, I prosper in my ministry, I prosper in my relationships—I prosper in all things! Prosperity is at work in me 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in the name of Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Made To Be An Establishment for Others

Study The Word

1 Peter 5:10 – 11 MLV
But the God of all grace, who called you to his everlasting glory in Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a small time, he himself may frame you up, will establish, will strengthen and will found you. {I.e. make a foundation of you.}

The eternal purpose of God for your life goes beyond just your personal benefit. Yes, God is restoring you, establishing you, strengthening you and settling you – but there’s a greater purpose! After you’ve gone through that season of pressure, after the devil has put all kinds of attacks on you, after you’ve resisted steadfast in faith, God is not just fixing you for yourself. He’s making you into something that will benefit others. Glory to God!

Look at what the scripture reveals – God is going to SETTLE you. That word “settle” in the Greek is themelioo, which means to lay a foundation, to establish. God is making you into an ESTABLISHMENT! Think about that – an establishment. Not just a person who got through something, not just someone who survived. No! God is making you into a pillar, a source, a foundation that others can benefit from. Hallelujah!

This is the will of God for your life – that you become an establishment of strength, an establishment of hope, an establishment of encouragement! You will be a pillar of strength, a pillar of hope, a pillar of encouragement for others. You’re not just going to be stable for yourself – you’re going to be an establishment of stability that others can draw from!

And here’s what this establishment looks like in your life. There’s going to be a stability regarding your life, regarding your relationships, regarding your income, regarding your destiny, regarding your occupation, regarding your business, regarding your ministry, regarding your calling! There’s a firm stability in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. No more up and down. No more backwards. It’s upward and forward only! From glory to glory only!

This stability is not just for show. It’s an establishment of the things of God, an establishment of prosperity, an establishment of the glory of God, an establishment of the grace of God, an establishment of the love of God, an establishment of the beauty of God! You are becoming a firm foundation and an establishment of the goodness of God for all to benefit from. That’s the will of God for your life!

God is not just getting you through your challenges so you can go hide somewhere. No! He’s making you into an example, a foundation that demonstrates His goodness, His faithfulness, His power! Others will look at your life and see a pillar that stands firm. They will draw strength from your establishment. They will find hope in your stability. They will be encouraged by your foundation!

God gave these prayer points – they were established in eternity! And it’s our responsibility as God’s children to find out what they are and then bring them from that eternal realm and establish them into this physical world so that we can rule and reign in this life by one Jesus Christ!
Have you ever prayed to God asking Him what His purpose for your life is?  I was once there many years ago, I struggled and wrestled with this for years when I was still growing and learning the things of God. Until the day came and the wisdom of God concerning this overshadowed my mind from the Spirit.

And the Lord said to me, “Everything about your life, good and bad, that you went through and experienced, and that you’re going through, and that you will go through contains the testimony of your unique purpose.”
That means that God takes from your every experience, exposes it to the power of His gospel, and then turns around into a testimony and uses all of it for His purpose.

Whatever you went through, and whatever you’re going through right now stop complaining. Know that it is all for His purpose.  Remember when the Disciples of Jesus saw the man that was blind, and they ask Him “…Teacher, whose sin caused him to be born blind? Was it his own or his parents’ sin?”  Jesus answered, “His blindness has nothing to do with his sins or his parents’ sins. He is blind so that God’s power might be seen at work in him. (John 9:2 -3) GNT

So understand this today – God uses everything about your life, the good and the not so good as materials for the establishment of His purpose.  Nothing about your life’s experiences is for nothing or a waste with God.  The difficult times, the trials, the pressures, the things that the devil throws your way – God takes all of it and He turns it around into a testimony to establish His purpose.  Haha!  God is making you into an establishment. From that challenge, from whatever you’re going through, God is making you into an establishment, into a firm foundation. A pillar of strength! A pillar of hope! A pillar of encouragement! A firm foundation and an establishment of encouragement, an establishment of the things of God, an establishment of prosperity, an establishment that will stand!

Pray The Word

Thank You Holy Spirit of God for making my life an establishment, a foundation, an establishment that can stand the test of time, that can stand the test of challenges, that can stand the test of trials, that can stand the test of attacks. I am strengthened into a firm foundation in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I am mentally strong, emotionally strong with a stability in my life. No more up and down, no more backwards – it’s upward and forward only. There’s a stability in my life, in my relationships, in my income, in my destiny, in my occupation, in my business, in my ministry, in my calling. I am an establishment – a pillar of strength, a pillar of hope, a pillar of encouragement, a firm foundation and an establishment of the things of God, of prosperity, of the beauty of God, of the glory of God, of the grace of God, of the love of God. I am an establishment of the goodness of God for all to benefit from, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Speak The Word

My life is a strong foundation and a strong establishment in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am an establishment of strength, an establishment of hope, a pillar and an establishment and an example and a foundation of the goodness of God. There’s a stability about my life, a stability about my purpose, a stability about the things that pertain to my life. I am stable – no more up and down, no more here today and not here tomorrow. I am from upward and forward only, from glory to glory only with stability in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I have mental strength to face anything and emotional strength to go through anything. God has made me into an establishment – a pillar of strength, a pillar of hope, a firm foundation for all to benefit from, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Prayers Of The Spirit: The Four-Fold Work of God In You

Study The Word

1 Peter 5:10 KJV
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

There is a divine process that the God of all grace has set in motion for your life, especially after you’ve gone through challenges, trials and the attacks of the enemy. The devil may have roamed around like a roaring lion seeking to devour you, putting all kinds of pressure on you, sending forth attacks and temptations.  But here’s the truth – whatever challenge you’re facing right now is not unique to you. Other Christians all around the world have probably faced something similar or are facing the same thing. The circumstances around it may be unique, but the challenge is the same because the devil doesn’t have new tricks! And that pressure, those challenges – they’re only going to last for a little while.

But after you have suffered a while, the God of all grace who has called you unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus will now do four distinct works in your life. These are not just suggestions or possibilities – these are eternal plans and purposes of God that were established in eternity for your spiritual development and for the perfect will of God to be established in your life!

καταρτίζω katartizō perfect –  mend to perfection & completion, repair to perfection & completion, frame into perfection & completion, fit out/equip to perfection & completion.

The first work is PERFECTION. The word translated “make you perfect” is katartizo in the Greek, which means to restore, to make you complete, to repair or mend to perfection! This is God’s restorative work to bring you to completeness. Whatever the devil broke or stole or delayed in your life during that season of pressure, God is restoring it unto perfection! This is the restorative work that the Holy Spirit will begin to do as you pray this prayer of the Spirit.

στηρίζω stērizō establish – to set fast, fix firmly, make stable, to render constant, steadfast, to set one’s face steadfastly, to strengthen, establish

The second work is ESTABLISHMENT. The word “stablish” comes from sterizo, which means to set you firmly, to make you stable, to render you constant and steadfast! This is about creating a firm foundation in your life – no more up and down, no more here today and not here tomorrow. There’s a stability that God will establish in your life. A stability about your purpose, a stability about the things that pertain to your life! Hallelujah! God is going to make you stable and make you into an establishment!

σθενόω sthenoō strengthen – to make strong, strengthen

The third work is STRENGTHENING. God gives you sthenoo – divine strength of your soul! This is mental strength and emotional strength. The will of God is for you to be strong mentally, to be strong emotionally in every season. Whether it’s a good season or a challenging season, you will be strong in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ! You have the mental strength to face anything. You will have the emotional strength to go through any challenge in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Some people lack the strength of will. So they can decide on one thing today, and then at the first sign of some bit of resistance or contrary news or appearance, they change their decision.  In the season of attack or pressure, and devil puts people against the wall, a lot of the times people succumb to the pressure, and it’s not because they’re bad people or they planned to take the wrong actions, decisions or choices. The issue always is that the person didnt have the mental and emotional strength to withstand the pressure; so in that day of adversity they take the wrong decision, wrong choice and ruin or even destroy their lives.  In that moment the person didn’t have the mental strength, and emotional stamina to stand and do the right thing or make the right call; the persons mental and emotional strength was small.  They don’t have a strong will so they succumb to the pressures of life.  If that is you, then this prayer of the Spirit is for you, to be strengthened in your mind, will and emotions. With this you will develop the mental toughness, the sthenoo to take decisions, stick with them and see them through, glory to God!  You will not succumb to the devils pressures in the day of adversity, you will have the mental and emotional strength to stand, the strength of will to take the right decisions and see it through glory to God!

θεμελιόω themelioō settle – to lay the foundation, to found, to make stable, establish

The fourth work is SETTLING. The word “settle” is themelioo, which means to lay a foundation, and to make you into a firm foundation! God is making you into an establishment – a pillar of strength, a pillar of hope, a pillar of encouragement. A firm foundation that is established and that can stand the test of time, that can stand the test of challenges, that can stand the test of trials, that can stand the test of attacks!

These four divine works of the Spirit of God – perfection, establishment, strength and stability – are not random.  These are strategic, especially when you consider the things that going on in the world around us.  You need this. These are the eternal purposes of God for every Christian for this time, especially for the end time because you are going to need them.  And it doesn’t matter how many years you’ve been a Christian, how many years you’ve been serving in the five-fold ministry. You require this for your spiritual strength, mental and emotional strength and development, so that you can be a success in these end-times!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, You are the God of all grace who has called me unto Your eternal glory by Christ Jesus. I thank You that from this very moment You begin to make me perfect, You begin to establish me, You begin strengthen me, and settle me in every area of my life, and in my mind, will and emotions. I receive Your restorative work of perfection that makes me complete today. I receive the establishment that sets me firmly with stability in every area of my life. I receive divine mental strength and emotional strength to be strong mentally and emotionally in every season.
Heavenly Father, I receive the settling work that makes me a firm foundation, an establishment that can stand the test of time, challenges, trials and attacks. To You be glory and dominion forever and ever, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Speak The Word

I am called to God’s eternal glory by Christ Jesus, and after being challenged for a little while, God is makes me perfect, establishing me, strengthening me and settling me. I am restored and equipped to perfection and complete stability. I am securely restored and equipped to perfection and complete stability. My mind, will and emotions are established, complete and strong. I have mental strength and emotional strength to face anything, to go through anything in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. My life is a strong foundation and a strong establishment in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Made What You Ought To Be

Study The Word

Hebrews 13:20-21 (AMPC)
Now may the God of peace, who is the author and the giver of peace, who brought again from among the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood that sealed, ratified the everlasting agreement, covenant, testament, strengthen, complete, perfect, and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out his will.

Today we will study this prayer of the Spirit in the Amplified Classic translation. Let’s look at this again: “may the God of peace…strengthen, complete, perfect, and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good!”  This is one of those verses that will absolutely blow your mind when you truly see what God reveals here, especially in this AMPC version. It’s another one of those verses that reveal to you just how much God loves you, how much God cares for you. Just listen to this! He says “strengthen, complete, perfect, and make you what you ought to be and equip you with everything good that you may carry out his will.”

Think about this for a moment: How many of you prior to reading this actually knew that God made provisions for you in this way? That God was already thinking about this? That He was concerned about whether you would have everything you need to fulfill His will for your life? This is incredible! This isn’t just beautiful poetry in scripture—this is a prayer point of the Holy Spirit! This is God the Father, as a responsible, loving Father, thinking about you before you were even born, before you even came into this world!

καταρτίζω katartizō make perfect – to complete, restore, mend, equip, prepare, make fully qualified

You see, so God in His wisdom was banking on His predestination—that you, would receive the gospel and get born again and you now being in Christ, one day would get to find out what His will is and discover these prayer points of the Holy Spirit, and that you can use them to enforce His will into your life. Hallelujah! He thought about you. He thought about the life you were going to come into this world to face and experience. He thought about the things you would have to face, the things you would have to deal with. And as a loving Father, He prepared this prayer of the Spirit for us so that we could enforce it in prayer and prosper!

Now we looked at the word “perfect” in the Greek—katartizō yesterday which means to complete, to restore, to mend, to equip, to prepare, to make fully qualified! This is being made fit for purpose!  So God is saying that through your establishment of this prayer in your life, “I’m going to restore what’s broken in your life. If anything is not the way it needs to be, He says I’m going to mend, I’m going to furnish and complete what’s lacking and make you fully qualified for the assignment I’ve given you!”

ἀγαθός agathos good – excellent, distinguished, upright, honorable, beneficial, profitable, useful

And then He says He will “equip you with everything good.” And when we look at this Greek word for “good”—agathos. It means excellent, distinguished, beneficial, profitable, useful! So when God says He’s equipping you with everything good, He’s talking about excellent resources, distinguished provisions, beneficial tools, profitable assets, useful equipment—everything that is specifically suited to help you carry out His will! This is how thoughtful and amazing and loving God is!

So God doesn’t want you to be a struggle to fulfill His will! It can never be a struggle when you get a hold of this Word, when you get a hold of a verse like this and it is given to you as a prayer point of the Spirit. You see, some of you have been praying for certain things and you’re not really aware that a lot of these things that you’re looking for, that you want to do, that you want to accomplish, that you’re praying and asking God for—He already included them in His Word in these prayers of the Spirit!

Everyday you must say to yourself, “I am equipped with everything good. I am equipped! Thank You, Heavenly Father, for equipping me, for providing for me with everything good to fulfill Your will!” So stop struggling and striving to succeed in your own strength. Understand that your loving Heavenly Father has already made provision for you to be made what you ought to be. He’s already decided to strengthen you, complete you, perfect you, and equip you with everything good to fulfill your destiny!

Is there something you’re lacking? Is there a skill you’re lacking? Is there an ability you’re lacking? Is there some resource you’re lacking? This will of God, this prayer point of the Holy Spirit covers all of that! Because when God says He will equip you with “everything good,” He means everything. Not some things. Not most things. Everything that you need to be successful and fulfill your destiny!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You that You are the God of peace who strengthens, completes, perfects, and makes me what I ought to be. I receive Your divine equipping today—everything good that I need to carry out Your will for my life. Thank You for thinking about me before I was born, for making provisions for me in Christ Jesus. I declare that I am not struggling to fulfill Your will because You have equipped me with everything excellent, beneficial, and profitable to succeed, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

The Spirit of God is busy working in me making me what I ought to be! He strengthens, completes, perfects, and equips me with everything good to fulfill my destiny!  God is supplying therefore I am not lacking any skill, any ability, or any resource needed to carry out God’s will for my life. I am fully equipped with everything excellent, beneficial, and profitable to fulfill my divine destiny in Christ Jesus, in the name of Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Equipped For Every Good Work

Study The Word

Hebrews 13:20-21 (KJV)
Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”

Let me ask you a question: How many of you knew before today that God actually made provisions for your business, for your profession, for your job, for your work in this way that the opening scripture reveals to us? That He gave and prepared ahead of time this prayer because He wants you to succeed in your business, He wants you to succeed in your profession – your job, your work? This is God’s will for you! Hallelujah!

Think about this: God wants everybody to succeed. He wants to supply and provide everyone with everything that you need for you to be a success in that good work, in that good employment, in that good business, in that good work of the ministry, in that good profession. He thought about you. He thought about this time. And He made provisions for you in Christ Jesus for you to succeed! And He prepared this special prayer point of the Spirit and made it ready for you use in this season.

τέλειος teleios perfect – complete, finished, fully developed, mature, having reached its end goal, lacking nothing

Lets study the entire prayer together.  Now look at this word “perfect” in verse 21. In the Greek, it’s teleios, which means complete, finished, fully developed, mature, having reached its end goal, lacking nothing. So when God says He will make you perfect in every good work, He’s not talking about sinless perfection. No! He’s talking about making you complete, perfect in your business, finished in your preparation, fully developed for your profession, equipped with everything for your work of the ministry, having everything you need to reach your God-given goals, lacking nothing for success!  Ultimately it means that God will provide for you everything you need, lacking nothing in order for you to succeed!  Succeed in your job, your profession, your business, your ministry! Oh glory, what a prayer!

This is not just spiritual mumble jumble—this is God’s practical plan of kingdom provision! Whether it’s a business that you want to start but you’ve been unable to start, or it’s a business that you started that is struggling, or a profession or career that you want to get into but you don’t know how or where to start, or you’re saying you don’t have all that is needed to do so, this prayer point of the Holy Spirit is for you! Whether you’ve graduated but can’t find employment, or you’ve been an intern for a long time, or you haven’t been promoted for a long time, or you’re saying I need capital to start the business—this is the prayer point of the Holy Spirit for that situation either in your job, for that situation in your business, for that situation in your profession! God thought about you regarding this. Think about it. Amazing!

ἀγαθός agathos good – ἔργον ergon work – good work, good business, good employment, good enterprise, good occupation, good trade, good deed, good action, good task, good ministry

Shingi how do you know this? Well, we-ll have to look at how comprehensive this word “good work” is—”agathos ergon”. The phrase covers a number of things relating to your work that a lot people have never studied. It refers to your work – job or employment, your business or enterprise, your occupation, your trade, your ministry! So when God says He will perfect you in every good work, He’s covering every arena of productivity in your life! Your business ventures, your professional career, your ministry calling, your job responsibilities—everything! This is incredible!

Now here’s what many Christians don’t understand: You’re a child of God, you’re a Christian, you pay your tithe, you give your offering, you go to church etc, great—but you have to do more, you have to enforce this! You have to forcefully enforce the word of God for your life. Number one, you have to know it. You have to know the word of God for your life. And then you need to use prayer to enforce it. When you find something like this in the Word of God, Hallelujah, you have it made from that moment on! You have it made! Especially if you have it like this in the form of a prayer point from the Spirit!

The phrase “to do his will” uses the Greek word pros, which means toward, for the purpose of, in order to accomplish. So your life in Christ isn’t just randomly unfolding—God has planned for you and He’s daily equipping you with purpose, with meaning! He’s planned to give you resources for the purpose of accomplishing His will! He’ll provide for you in order to make you successful in that specific good work He’s called you to do!

So what does this mean practically? It means those finances that you need for that business—the Lord is perfecting, the Lord will perfect! Those contracts, whatever resources you require, whether they’re financial, material, or human resources that you require for that business—Hallelujah, He will supply and He will perfect! He will supply and repair and restore to perfection and completion everything that you need for you to be a success in that business from today!

Everything that you need to be a success in the work of the ministry—all the resources, all the finances that you need, all the human resources, all the financial resources, all the material resources—may the Lord supply, may the Lord restore, may the Lord equip you with everything that you need! Glory to God! For you to fulfill your destiny in the work of the ministry, for you to fulfill your destiny in a business, in a job, in a profession, the Lord will supply from today everything that you need for you to be the success that He has called you to be in Christ!

Now you can face tomorrow with confidence, with boldness, knowing that you will be a success, you will succeed! Is there a skill that you’re lacking for that promotion? Is there an ability that you’re lacking to start that business? Is there a resource that you’re lacking to expand your ministry? This will of God, this prayer point of the Holy Spirit covers all of that!

You see, some of you might say, “Ah, it’s very difficult to start a business, to get a job.” But you need to use this Word of God! Use this prayer point of the Holy Spirit over your life from today! Use it! War with it! Is it a business that is struggling? Use this prayer point of the Holy Spirit. Use it, and see how things will begin to change in that business!

God is not just concerned about your spiritual life—He’s concerned about your success in the practical, everyday areas of your life! He wants you to prosper in your business. He wants you to excel in your profession. He wants you to advance in your job. He wants your ministry to flourish. This is God’s will! And He’s made provision in His Word for it to happen!

Hallelujah! When you understand this, when you truly grasp that God the Father thought about your business before you were born, that He made provisions for your professional success before you came into this world, that He prepared these prayer points so you could enforce His will of prosperity over your work—everything changes! You’re no longer hoping things might work out. You’re declaring what God has already established: that you are equipped with everything good to succeed in every good work He’s called you to!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You that You want me to succeed in my business, my profession, my job, and my ministry. I receive Your divine supply today of every financial resource, material resource, and human resource that I need to be a success in my good work. Thank You for perfecting, repairing, and restoring everything I need to fulfill my destiny. I declare that from today, I am equipped and supplied with everything necessary to prosper in every good work You’ve called me to, in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Speak The Word

God provides me with everything I need to succeed in my business, my profession, my job, and my ministry! He supplies every financial, material, and human resource required for me to be a success in every good work. I am not struggling or lacking—I am fully equipped and divinely supplied to fulfill my destiny and prosper in Christ Jesus! I face tomorrow with confidence and boldness, knowing I will succeed in every good work, in the name of Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Deeper Knowledge Through Sharing

Study The Word

Philemon 1:6
That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

I want you to look at something powerful in this verse that many people miss! The word of God is revealing a divine principle here about how we grow in our understanding of what God has given us. He says that the communication of your faith—the sharing, the distribution of the gospel—produces something incredible: it produces the “acknowledging” – epignosis – full, complete, accurate and exact knowledge with experience.  That means the more you share your faith, the more you interact with the good things that God has already deposited in you,
and interact with the good things that are in you in Christ Jesus, the more you get an understanding of them and a fuller, accurate and precise experiential knowledge of them.

ἐπίγνωσις epignōsis acknowledging – full knowledge, exact knowledge, precise knowledge, deeper understanding, fuller comprehension, experiential knowledge

This word “acknowledging” is epignosis! This is not head knowledge; this is not surface-level understanding! This is full, exact, precise knowledge! A deep understanding! This is a knowledge that comes with interaction and experience of what God has placed inside you! It’s beyond having information in your head that is detached from experience. And listen to this carefully: Paul is saying that this epignosis, this kind of knowledge, comes through the communication of your faith! Think about this: you want to understand more about what God has given you? Then share the gospel! You want to interact with the divine abilities and graces God has deposited in you? Communicate your faith! You want deeper revelation of the blessings in Christ? Begin to distribute the word of God!
Now, this is not a passive sharing, or passive partnership and distribution, but rather you actively participating in the communication of the word of God through preaching the gospel yourself. Not sharing through someone, this is the word coming from and through your own mouth, actively participating and distributing from the study, meditation and mingling of the message within you.
For example, it’s one thing for you to share this article with someone, or a buy them a book that teaches the Word of God and ministers the gospel that I wrote and put together and just hand it to them and walk away – that’s great and there’s a blessing for that. That’s not going to give you epignosis.
But it is another thing for you to study the article, or study the book, get some understanding of the Word that is being taught in the article or book, pray with it and then go and sit down with someone and begin to share with them the message, the teaching and the revelation that is in the book! Ayaa! This is the communication of your faith that the Apostle Paul is referring to here. This is you actively going to speak with your own mouth and sharing your faith with others through your full and exact knowledge of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. So, the more you do this, the deeper your knowledge is going to be, you get it?

κοινωνία koinōnia communication – fellowship, partnership, distribution, sharing, communion, participation

That word communication is koinonia—it means fellowship, partnership, distribution, sharing together, communion! This is talking about your oneness with the faith! You being mingled and becoming one with the faith and with the knowledge of the Word of God! And when you now share from that place of oneness, when you distribute from that place of being mingled together with with Word—what happens? You begin to experience deeper interactions! Deeper relations! Deeper understandings! A deeper relationship with the blessings and all the virtues and all the graces and all the abilities that God has deposited in you in Christ Jesus!

This is incredible! Some of you have been praying, “God, give me more revelation! God, show me more of You please! God, I want to know and understand you more!” And God is saying to you through this scripture, “Go and share! Go and communicate the Word! Go and distribute the gospel that you already have and know, and as you do I will show you more!” Because it’s in the sharing that you begin to interact with these spiritual abilities, these spiritual understandings, these spiritual intelligences, spiritual wisdom, divine graces and spiritual blessings! Ayaa!!
See, that’s why I never run dry, everyday the Spirit of God freely gives to me revelations upon revelations upon revelations, abundantly, rivers of living water flowing nonstop daily. And this is why.

Now, as a child of God it is imperative for you to know and accept that there are good things which are in you in Christ Jesus! And every now and again you have to voice it out – “There are good things which are in me in Christ Jesus, the love of God is shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit, I walk in love!”
When you came into Christ, there were deposits of divine treasures—divine virtues, divine weaponry, divine devices, abilities and graces and blessings! The Bible says in 1 Corinthians chapter 2 that “God has given them unto us by His Spirit.” He has given them to us! Hallelujah! When you came into Christ, you were given something, and you have something inside you given to you by the Spirit of God, you are not empty! But many Christians are sitting on divine treasures and they don’t even know it; living like they have nothing.
Yet they have abilities they’ve never activated! They have graces they’ve never experienced! Why? Because they’re not sharing! They’re not communicating! They’re not distributing their faith! So make up your mind today that you’re going to discover who you are, and what God has given to you, and that you’re going to use it!
The world is waiting for you.

ἀγαθός agathos good thing – beneficial, excellent, upright, honourable, virtuous, valuable, useful

Let’s study further; the phrase “every good thing” in the Greek is agathos—it means beneficial, excellent, upright, honourable, virtuous, valuable, useful! God has deposited beneficial things in you! Excellent things! Valuable things! Useful things! And the way you begin to acknowledge them – understand them, interact with them is through the communication of your faith! The more you share, the more you interact with them! The more you communicate the gospel, the more you have deeper knowledge and experience deeper understanding and deeper relationship with all these magnificent and beautiful treasures that God has given us in Christ Jesus!

Listen, this is why some Christians have been saved for twenty years but still have beginner-level understanding! They know about salvation, but they don’t know about the fullness of their inheritance! They know they’re going to heaven, but they don’t know about experiencing heaven on earth! Why? Because they’re not sharing! They’re not communicating! They are addicted to the religiosity of Christianity. They sit in services, taking notes, collecting information, doing all and ticking all the religious boxes—but never sharing!
And because they’re not speaking and sharing, they’re not experiencing the deeper interactions! They’re not experiencing and growing in epignosis!
But when you begin to share—oh my goodness!—it’s like different kind of lights keep turning on! As you communicate the faith, you suddenly understand things you never understood before! As you distribute the gospel, you begin to interact with abilities you didn’t know you had! You develop deeper relationships with the blessings of God! The sharing produces the deeper knowing! The deeper understanding! The more intimate interactions with the divine virtues of God that are in you in Christ Jesus!

So don’t just wait! Don’t be a spectator! Don’t sit around hoping that somehow, mysteriously, you’ll gain deeper understanding! God has given you the key! Communicate! Share the faith! Share your faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ with somebody else! And as you share, watch what happens! You’ll begin to experience manifestations you’ve never experienced before! You’ll begin to understand blessings you never knew you had! You’ll begin to interact with divine abilities that have been dormant in your spirit! This is the divine principle! This is how it works! The communication of your faith produces the knowledge—the full, exact knowledge and experience—of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You for revealing to me that as I communicate my faith, I grow in deeper knowledge and understanding of all the good things You’ve deposited in me in Christ Jesus! I refuse to be passive in my spiritual growth, and I choose to actively share the gospel so that I may interact deeper with the divine virtues, abilities, graces, and blessings You’ve placed in my spirit. Thank You that the more I distribute Your word, the more I experience fuller comprehension of my inheritance in Christ, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

I communicate my faith boldly, and as I share the gospel, I interact deeper and deeper with all the good things God has deposited in me in Christ Jesus! The more I distribute the word of God, the more I develop full and exact knowledge of my divine abilities, spiritual graces, and heavenly blessings! I refuse to be a passive recipient but an active distributor; and through my sharing, I experience deeper understanding, deeper knowledge, and deeper relationships with the fullness of God’s blessings in my life, in the name of the Lord Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Effective Communication

Study The Word

Philemon 1:4-6
I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

We move on to the study of another amazing prayer of the Spirit. And this prayer point has to do with how we share, show and minister Jesus Christ to our world. It’s prayer point for our preparation for ministry; and it focuses on the communication, the distribution, the sharing of your faith—and he says it may become effectual!  Effectual! That means effective and powerful!  When you share the word of God, when you distribute the gospel of Jesus Christ, when you communicate your faith—it doesn’t just go out empty and powerless.  It is accompanied, it is infused, it is charged with the effectual power of God Himself! This prayer for preparation will empower you with boldness, and also confidence – someone called it “Godfidence”!

ἐνεργής energēs effectual – active, efficient, effective, powerful, operative, working with energy

Think about this: Paul is saying that when you share your faith, when you communicate the gospel, it becomes energes! That Greek word energes means active, efficient, effective, powerful—it’s working with divine energy! Glory to God! This is not just talking; this is not just words floating in the air. This is the word of God going forth with the accompanying power of the Holy Spirit! Every time you open your mouth to share the gospel, every time you distribute the message of Christ, the Holy Spirit accompanies that word with His effective, miraculous energy. Hallelujah!

κοινωνία koinōnia communication – fellowship, partnership, distribution, sharing, participation, communion

Now, that word “communication” there is koinonia. We’ve studied this word before—it means partnership, fellowship, distribution, sharing together. But did you catch what’s happening here? It’s talking about your oneness with the faith! You’re not just talking about something external; you have become one with the faith of Jesus Christ! You’re mingled with the word of God! You’re in communion, in fellowship, in partnership with the word of God! And when you now communicate from that place of oneness, from that place of being mingled with the word, from that place of partnership with Christ—it goes forth with power!

The Living Bible translation says it beautifully: “And I pray that as you share your faith with others, it will grip their lives too.” It will grip them! Why? Because it’s going to be effective as it is backed by the power of the Holy Spirit!  This is the will of God for us in Christ Jesus. Wherever we are, when we begin to communicate our faith, when we begin to share our faith, distribute our faith—it is with effective supernatural power!

Many Christians are sitting around waiting for some special anointing before they can share the gospel. They’re waiting for some special feeling, some special moment, some special gift. No! In your prayer in preparation to go and minister the gospel, pray this very prayer of the Spirit and then you set out and every time you share the faith, every time you communicate the gospel, it will be accompanied it with God’s power! You don’t need to wait! Don’t be a spectator! Participate! Share the faith! Share your faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ with somebody else, and you will begin to experience manifestations of the power of God that you otherwise would not experience until you start sharing and communicating your faith!

ἐπίγνωσις epignōsis acknowledging – full knowledge, exact knowledge, precise and correct knowledge, deeper understanding, recognition

And then Paul says something profound here—he says this effectual communication happens “by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” That word “acknowledging” is epignosis! This is full knowledge, exact knowledge, precise knowledge of the gospel! And by this knowledge of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus, the communication of my faith is filled with power.

There are good things which are in you in Christ Jesus!  When you came into Christ, there were deposits of good things—divine virtues, divine weaponry, divine devices, divine abilities and graces and blessings! Find out what those things are and begin to study them and learn about them so that your sharing will become effective. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians chapter 2 that God has given us these things by His Spirit. And now, as you share the word of God, as you distribute and communicate the message of Christ, the revelation of Christ—your faith becomes effectual! It becomes effective with power! And simultaneously, you begin to interact with these divine deposits! You begin to have deeper knowledge, deeper understanding, deeper relationship with all the blessings that God has placed in you!

You see, there is  a reason why some Christians never grow! They’re not sharing! They’re not communicating! They’re sitting in church, absorbing, absorbing, absorbing—but never distributing! And because they’re not distributing, they never get to experiencing the accompanying power that comes with the communication of your faith! They’re not developing the deeper knowledge!  But when you begin to share, when you begin to communicate your faith—oh goodness!—you enter into a whole new realm of interaction with the things of God!

So what are you going to do? Are you going to continue being a spectator, or are you going to become a distributor? Are you going to start communicating your faith? The world is waiting! People around you need to be gripped by the power of God! And God has chosen you to be the vessel through which His effectual power flows! Every time you share the gospel, it’s not just information transfer—it’s divine power transfer! It’s the effectual, energetic power of God gripping lives and transforming hearts! Glory to God! This is your portion! This is part of your inheritance in Christ Jesus!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the privilege of being a distributor of Your faith! Thank You that every time I communicate the gospel of Jesus Christ, it is accompanied by Your effectual, power! I refuse to be a spectator, and I choose to share my faith boldly, knowing that You grip the hearts of those who hear it. Thank You that as I distribute Your word, I also grow in deeper knowledge and understanding of all the good things You have deposited in me in Christ Jesus, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

The faith of the gospel that I communicate and demonstrate is infused and accompanied by the effectual power of God! Every time I share the word of God, it grips the lives of those who hear it because God Himself supplies the effective, miraculous energy! I am not a spectator but a distributor of the faith, and as I share, I interact deeper and deeper with all the divine virtues, abilities, and blessings that God has deposited in me in Christ Jesus, in the name of Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Uninterrupted Access to His Love

Study The Word

2 Thessalonians 3:5 (KJV)
And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.”

As you study most of these prayers you’ll discover that these prayers provide for us God’s will for us regarding how He wants our heart posture to be from now on until the rapture of the church.  Over and above that, it also reveals to us that there are personal spiritual development exercises God wants us to be busy with whilst we wait for the day of His appearing.  And these instructions prepare us and position us rightly for that day. Glory to God!

Now one of those exercises is revealed to us in this prayer of the Spirit for “the Lord to direct“, which in the Greek reveals a powerful spiritual work He wants to do in our hearts.  Let’s get deeper into it!  Remember that a lot of the time as you study the scriptures, and you encounter the term “heart”; more often than not contextually it always refers to the composition of your spirit and your soul together. So when you see the term heart it is never referring to your physical heart.  You can also make the mistake of minimizing it to also just mean your spirit. But the term heart most of the time is usually referring to what the Apostle Paul referred to as “the hidden man of the heart!”  The idea usually is to bring into focus both your spirit and your soul together and not separate. Your soul being your mind, will and emotions,  and your spirit being what it is your spirit.

κατευθύνω kateuthunō direct – to make straight, guide, lead straight toward, remove obstacles from the path, clear the way

So now when he prays “may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God”, and you study the word direct which is the Greek word kateuthunō which means to make straight, remove obstacles from the path or clear the way. This would give us a clear understanding of what the direction of the Spirit is with this prayer.  So it’s telling us that not only does God love you, but He also wants to actively help to guide your heart, and make a straight and clear pathway removing any obstacles in our mind, our will and emotions that could keep you from experiencing this love that He has for you. So the Lord wants to actively help us with this? The Lord wants to answer this prayer for us! That’s amazing. What a prayer!

So as we pray this prayer of the Spirit, God will remove any obstacles in our hearts that could hinder our experiencing His love whilst we wait for the appearing of the Lord! He is clearing the way! He is making a straight path for your heart to be fully connected to His love! Any hindering force, any hindering plan, any limitation that would try to hinder you from being connected to God’s love—this prayer addresses it directly!

You see, the enemy knows the power of God’s love in your life. He knows that when you are fully connected to the love of God, when your heart is directed toward His love, you become bold and unstoppable! You become unshakeable! So what does he do? He creates mental distractions. He brings circumstances to try and stir up your emotions wrongly. He orchestrates situations designed to distract your heart away from the love of God. But we have a prayer of the Spirit we can pray deal with all these devices which says, “Lord, direct my heart towards your love! Remove every obstacle, every distraction. Lord clear the way of my mind, my will and emotions for clear pathway in my heart to experience your love right now, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen!”

The word “love” here is the Greek: agapē love – divine love, unconditional love, the love of God.

So the prayer is so that your heart would be directed straight into this love—with no hindrances, no limitations, no interruptions!  This is God’s will for your life: free access! Free direct contact! Free uninterrupted access to His love every day, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, three hundred and sixty-five days a year!  And notice what else Paul includes in this prayer: “and into the patient waiting for Christ.”

ὑπομονή hupomonē patient waiting – steadfastness, endurance, patient continuance, the quality of remaining under and not running away

The same prayer that directs your heart into God’s love also directs you into the patient, steadfast waiting for the appearing of Christ! You see, these prayer points are not random—they are specifically designed to prepare you and position you for the coming of the Lord! When your heart is anchored in God’s love, you can patiently wait. You can endure. You don’t become anxious or restless. You remain steadfast because you are secure in His love!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You for directing my heart into Your love! I ask You to remove every obstacle, every distraction, every hindering force that would try to disconnect me from Your love. I receive avalanches of Your love today—free access, uninterrupted connection, every moment of every day as I patiently wait for the appearing of Christ, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

My heart is directed toward God! My heart is always directed toward His love! I have free access, free uninterrupted contact of the love of God every single day. I am a recipient of avalanches of His eternal love. I am anchored in His love, patiently waiting for the appearing of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in the name of the Lord Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Divine Protection from Wicked Men and Evil

Study The Word

2 Thessalonians 3:1-3 (KJV)
Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: 2  And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. 3  But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.”

This prayer point of the Spirit, gives us one of the most crucial prayers we need for our lives especially in these last days—that fist part of it the Apostle Paul says “pray for us,” and then afterward he reveals the prayer point of the Spirit and says “..that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified.”  This is a prayer of the Spirit. God’s eternal will both in our lives and in the lives of others around us is for His Word to have free course and be glorified in every facet of our lives and existence!

τρέχω trechó  free course – run freely, move rapidly, spread rapidly, spread hastily

That word free course is trechó which means to move rapidly, run freely without any hinderance, and spread hastily.  This is  with the speed of the Spirit of God. Everything that God will do in your life is and will always be through and by His Word. So if there’s something that God wants to do in you, through you, or for you, and it takes long for His Word to get to you, or to your notice through hinderance or delay of one sort or the other; that which God wants to fulfill will inevitably be delayed.  But that is only until that Word of God gets to you by free course and is glorified.  So this prayer of the Spirit is to eliminate hinderances and delays for God’s plans and purposes for your life, and for the lives of people around you. “May the Word of the Lord have free course in every area of your life, in the name of Jesus Christ!”

And then the next part of this prayer request of the Spirit is the prayer for deliverance and protection from unreasonable and wicked men.  It also enlightens us to the reality that we live in a very evil and wicked world. However, the Lord prepared for us ahead of time and has given us this authority over wickedness and evil, so that we can live in divine protection and safety, and successfully navigating these perilous times.  And glory to God “…the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from from evil,” in the name of Jesus Christ!
As you study this you will remember the words of Jesus in His famous teaching on how to pray when He said “Your will be done in earth as it is in heaven…deliver us from evil” (Matthew 6:10;13)
It is important for you to notice when studying the context how that Paul doesn’t hesitate to make such a request for himself. It is a request inspired of the Spirit of God.  And what it reveals to us regarding the prayers of the Spirit is that if that prayer request of the Spirit was good enough for the Apostle Paul, it is absolutely essential for us, the body of Christ, to pray this same prayer over our lives and for the lives of the people around us!

Now, let’s look at this carefully. Paul says pray “that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men.”

ἄτοπος atopos unreasonable – improper, out of place, harmful, hurtful, perverse, wicked in behaviour

The word “unreasonable” here is the Greek word: atopos which means improper, harmful, hurtful, wicked and out of place.  This describes people who operate outside of what is proper and right. They are hurtful people. These are selfish people that have evil intentions toward others.

πονηρός ponēros wicked – evil, bad, malicious, grievous, harmful, one who causes pain and brings labor and toil

And then Paul adds “wicked men”—the Greek word here is: ponēros which means wicked, evil, harmful and malicious.  These are people through whom the enemy operates to bring grief, pain, and destruction in peoples lives.  And we live in a world where we see or encounter all these things almost everyday.  So this prayer of the Spirit is critical for the times we are living in.  But here’s where it gets good for us—the Word of God doesn’t leave us without defense and immediately the scripture says, “But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil!”  Yes, there are wicked people in this world. Yes, not all men have faith. Not all men have Christ. Not all men have the love of God in them.  “But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil!”

στηρίζω stērizō establish – to make stable, place firmly, set fast, strengthen, make steadfast, fix

Think about this: God Himself says He is going to make you stable! He’s going to place you firmly! While wicked and unreasonable men and evil are trying to destabilize your life, or your family and people around you, or your destiny—God is faithful to establish you, to make you steadfast, to set you in a firm position and you will not be touched!
And then He goes on further to say He will “keep you from evil.” Oh I love that word “keep”! The word “keep” here is phulassō  which means to guard, watch, protect and preserve from harm.

φυλάσσω phulassō keep – to guard, watch, protect, preserve from harm, defend, maintain

This is protective keeping! This is God standing as a watchful guardian over your life as you pray and enforce this prayer of the Spirit over your life and lives of people around you! He will actively guard, protect and defend you against evil. As you appropriate this will of God in prayer you rest assured that He is faithful and He is watchfully looking over you in protection against the evil one! Every single day you are protected! Glory to God!

How amazing is that? Now remember what we said earlier regard this prayer of the Spirit that, if it was appropriate for the Apostle Paul, this great man of God, to ask for prayer for deliverance from wicked and unreasonable men, how much more should you and I make this a consistent prayer point over our lives?
Some of you have been dealing with people who have evil intentions toward you—people in your workplace, people in your family, people who for no just reason have set themselves against your progress and your destiny. The Word of God says pray! Pray for deliverance from them and from evil! And as you do so, know that the Lord is faithful! Hallelujah!

“I declare over your life today: any wicked one, any unreasonable person, any evil plan that the enemy has orchestrated against your life, against your family, against your destiny—I render them helpless against your life! Any evil that the wicked one had planned against your life, I declare it cancelled in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth! May the Lord, like a rushing mighty current, deliver you from that evil, deliver you unto Himself from that evil day, from that evil plan, against your life, in the name of Jesus Christ!”

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You that You are faithful! I thank You that You have promised to establish me and keep me from evil. I pray today, asking that You would deliver me from evil, and from unreasonable and wicked men—from those who have evil intentions and those through whom the enemy operates. I trust in Your faithful keeping power to guard my life, my family, and my destiny from all evil, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

The Lord is faithful, and He establishes me and keeps me from all evil. I am guarded, I am protected, I am defended by the watchful eye of my Heavenly Father every single day. No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every evil plan against my life is cancelled and rendered powerless, in the name of Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Counted Worthy of This Calling

Study The Word

2 Thessalonians 1:11 (KJV)
Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power.

As we continue to study this prayer point of the Holy Spirit and look at it in the KJV this time around you’d see that it says here, “…that our God would count you worthy of this calling.”  What calling is He referring to here?  When you study the context from verse 7 you’d discover that He is referring to the calling of His appearing and the catching away of the church – the rapture.  And also His subsequent return with the church at His second coming when He comes back this time together with His saints. So the prayer point is so that God would count you worthy of His calling for the rapture, glory to God! What a prayer.

Now, if you are a child of God and filled with the Spirit of God, being in Christ, and you believe not only in Him but also in that day “when He shall come”, that means you fit the criteria for God to count you worthy! He has already deemed you worthy because you are a part of His saints whom He shall come for “…When He shall come to be glorified in His saints and to be admired in all them that believe…in that day.” (2 Thessalonians 1:10) And then lastly what you will need to do while you wait for that day of His coming is what we have in verse 11 which is to pray the prayer of the Spirit: “Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power.”

ἀξιόω axioō count worthy – to deem worthy, to think fit, consider deserving, judge qualified, esteem suitable, account as meeting the standard

So the criteria to be counted worthy is clear in the context, which is firstly – believe in the testimony of Jesus Christ i.e. believe in what He already came and did; secondly – believe in that day when He shall come i.e. believe in what He is coming back to do. Now because of this you are to begin to pray this prayer of the Spirit which is: “…pray always that God would count you worthy of this calling.” Now, if you’re a born again and child of God who believes in Jesus Christ then non of the things in the criteria should be a problem or issue for you, you already believe in all these things therefore you should know that you are counted worthy!

That word “count worthy” in the Greek is axioō, and it means to deem worthy, to think fit, to consider deserving, to judge qualified! God Himself has judged you qualified! God Himself has deemed you suitable! God Himself considers you deserving of this calling upon your life! Not because of your works—but because of what Jesus Christ did for you, and that you believe it! Not only that but also you believe in what He is coming back to do, glory to God! Therefore, God counts you worthy of this calling!  So you don’t have to be like those who are not sure, or who are afraid of whether or not they will make the rapture! No! You are confident that God counts you worthy!

Say this: I believe that Jesus Christ came, died, rose again and ascended into heaven; I believe He is coming back again, therefore I am qualified, I am worthy of God’s eternal calling!

And then He says because you believe in Him and He has counted you worthy and as you are patiently waiting for His coming, may God “…fulfil all the good pleasure of His goodness, and the work of faith with power.”  Say out loud, “God is fulfilling all the good pleasure of His goodness in my life today, in the name of Jesus Christ!” See this is a prayer point of the Spirit, it reveals God’s will that He wants to see fulfilled in your life. So you need to boldly appropriate it in prayer and declaration!

πίστις pistis faith – conviction of truth, persuasion

Now, this is a special word for somebody who has been discouraged by others. Hallelujah. People have said to you, “Because of what you did there, and what you said there, and what happened there—you are not qualified.” But the Word of God reveals to us that God has counted you worthy of this calling! He has counted you worthy! He’s counting on you! And He has counted and called you faithful because of your faith in Jesus Christ!

You see, your qualification is not based on your performance—it’s based on your pistis, your faith in Jesus Christ! It is based on your faith in what He came to do, and what He is coming back to do!  So it doesn’t matter what they said! It doesn’t matter who disqualified you! Jesus Christ with His own blood qualified you for God’s purpose! Qualified you for God’s calling upon your life!
Never let any lie stop you again! Never let any voice of discouragement say that you are not qualified to serve God! Because Jesus Christ of Nazareth—He has qualified you!

He qualifies you every day! He qualifies you when you feel like it—He’s qualifying you! When you don’t feel like it—He’s qualifying you! When people say you can’t—He’s qualifying you! When people say you’re disqualified—He’s still qualifying you!

εὐδοκία eudokia good pleasure – delight, pleasure, good will, pleasant intent

Think about this: you’re no longer qualified because of your education. You’re no longer qualified because of your background. You’re no longer qualified because of your family name. You’re no longer qualified because of what you did or didn’t do. You’re no longer qualified because of what they said. You are qualified because of the blood of Jesus Christ! His blood is your qualification! His blood is your credential! His blood speaks better things on your behalf!

“I command every lie of the devil—every voice of disqualification—to be silenced right now in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Rise up from that place of discouragement! Rise up from that depression! Take up your place and fulfill your call! God will back you up! God will back up every work of your faith with power! Every work of your faith with His power—because He has qualified you and called you to fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness in and through you! Glory to God!”

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You for counting me worthy of this calling. I silence every voice of disqualification from the enemy right now in Jesus’ name. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for qualifying me with Your precious blood—not according to my works, not according to my ability, but according to Your own purpose and power. I take up my place today to fulfill all the good pleasure of Your goodness in me, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

God has considered me worthy of His calling in Christ Jesus and fit to fulfill His call of service! I am qualified by the blood of Jesus Christ—not by my performance, not by what others say, but by His precious blood alone! Every lie of disqualification is silenced over my life. I rise up in strength to take my place and fulfill my calling, and God backs up every work of my faith with His miraculous power, in the name of the Lord Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Clothed With Divine Glory

Study The Word

2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 (Amplified)
With this in view, we constantly pray for you, that our God may deem and count you worthy of your calling and His every gracious purpose of goodness, and with power may complete in your every particular work of faith… Thus may the name of the Lord Jesus Christ be glorified and become more glorious through and in you, and may you also be glorified in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Today we look into another prayer of the Holy Spirit put together for us and it is for God to count us worthy of our calling and also to fulfill or to perform in us His gracious  purpose of goodness and complete the working of our faith with His power! Glory! How incredible is that? And it doesn’t stop there, then it goes on to say, “and may you also be glorified in Him.” You! Glorified! In Him! Wow, “I’m glorified in Him!”
Now, I know there are some religious folks out there, and they’ll say, “Yeah, all the glory belongs to God alone. The glory is for the Lord alone. Glory is only for God.” And yes, that is true—God is worthy of all glory! But what about this? What is the Word actually saying here? The Word of God is declaring that it is also God’s will for YOU to be glorified in Him. Haha! How about that for your religious mentality?

ἐνδοξάζω endoxazō glorified – to adorn with glory, clothe with splendor, decorate, enhance with magnificence, invest with honour and dignity

Think about this: that Greek word “glorified” is endoxazō, which comes from the root word doxa, meaning glory. But endoxazō specifically means to adorn with glory, to clothe you with glory! God wants you to be clothed with His glory! It means to be decorated, to be enhanced with splendor, with honor, with magnificence—with God’s divine magnificence! Do you hear what the Spirit is saying?

This is God’s will for your life! So what does it mean? What it means is, as you begin to go about fulfilling work with His faith, the power of God will be expressed in and through you, God will be glorified and you also will be clothed with His glory. That is simply what the prayer point of the Spirit is saying. God wants you to also be glorified as He is being glorified in your life. He also wants you to be glorified. Hey yaaa!! That is too big for the religious Christianity that keeps saying, “The glory belongs to God alone, the glory belongs to God alone.” Yes, it does! But God also says, “I want you, My son. I want you, My child. I want you, My daughter, to be glorified in Me.”

δόξα doxa glory – splendor, brightness, magnificence, excellence, preeminence, dignity, honor, praise, worship

God’s purpose and plan—His desire—is for you to be glorified in Him.  So as you’re going about doing the work of God, and God is being glorified in you, He says He also wants that glory to be in you and you to be glorified in Him.  Isn’t that beautiful? God is such a giver; He wants to share His glory with us. He doesn’t want to receive the glory alone, hahaa! Many Christians don’t like to hear this, but it’s in the scripture, it’s in the written Word. That is what the word says!

The Message translation puts it this way: “If your life honors the name of Jesus, He will honor you.”
If your life honours Jesus Christ, He will honour you! You can’t change that, it will happen whether you want it or not because no one can out give God. So even if you cry sincerely in your fake humility saying “Lord I don’t want any of Your glory”, He will still glorify you! You can’t change it; God will never change His Word for you or for anyone, not even Himself.  So get over it child of God—this is the Word of God and it is already written and settled in heaven! You will share in His glory, hallelujah! This is the revealed will of your Heavenly Father for your life! So expect it and never shy away from it. This is not arrogance!

You see, God is not like some earthly master who wants all the recognition while keeping his servants in the shadows. No! Your Father says, “As you walk in your calling, as you express faith, as My power works through you—I am going to clothe you with My very own glory!” You will be decorated with divine magnificence. You will be enhanced with splendour that comes from the grace and glory of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

χάρις charis grace – favor, blessing, goodwill, divine influence upon the heart, benefit, gift freely given

And did you notice how it says this glorification comes “according to the grace of our God.” It’s not something you earn! It’s not something you work up! It’s a gift! It’s the charis—the divine favor, the blessing, the goodwill of God freely given to you as you walk in your calling, fulfilling your purpose.

So let this truth sink deep into your spirit today: God’s plan is not just for Him to be glorified through you—His plan is for you also to be adorned, decorated, and clothed with His divine splendor, His magnificence, His honour! You are not just a vessel; you are a vessel that He delights to beautify with His very own glory! Hallelujah! Oh, you’ve got to love the Word of God!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You for this revelation that challenges every religious limitation in my thinking. Thank You that it is Your will not only to be glorified in me but also to glorify me in You. I receive this truth today—that as I walk in my calling and express my faith, You are adorning me, decorating me, and clothing me with Your divine splendor, magnificence, and honour according to Your grace and the Lord Jesus Christ, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Speak The Word

I am being glorified in Christ according to God’s purpose and plan for my life! As I honour the name of Jesus, He honours me with His divine glory. I am adorned and decorated with divine splendor, divine magnificence, and divine honor as I fulfill my calling. I am clothed with the very glory of God—not by my works, but according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Guarded & Protected Until His Appearing

Study The Word

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 (KJV)
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

Another important thing that the Spirit of God wants you to understand today is that your sanctification does not just happen automatically! There are things contending for your salvation, and sanctification. There are things contending against the plans and purposes of God for your life. There are principalities, there are powers, there are circumstances, there are symptoms, there are reports—all these things are exalting themselves above the knowledge of God, above the manifestation of the revelation of God’s purposes in your life. This is why the Apostle Paul prays that you would be sanctified and preserved in this way!

τηρέω  tēreō  preserved  –  to watch over, guard carefully, observe, keep safe, protect, maintain

Now, the Greek word “tēreō” which is translated preserved means to carefully observe and guard! It means to watch over, to keep safe, to protect, to maintain. So as a child of God it is important for you to know and to understand that you are not left alone to fend for yourself against the attacks of the enemy.  You are one that is preserved in Christ! You are one that God watches over, keeps safe, protects and heavily guards!  God Himself—as the Lord of Hosts, the Lord of the armies of heaven—stations His angelic forces to guard you, to preserve you, to watch over your spirit, your soul, and your body. Glory to God! Its important for you to know this, to remind yourself of this everyday, to enforce it in prayer and in declarations everyday.

Think about this: some people experience spiritual attacks. Some experience attacks in their minds. Some experience attacks in their bodies. Sickness, symptoms, disease, reports from doctors—these are spiritual things that come to exalt themselves above the plans and purposes of God for your life. Poverty, lack, failure, things that keep occurring that you know are not from God—these are things contending against your destiny! But when you pray this will of God over your life, you give the Lord of Hosts—Jehovah Tzevaot—the rights to activate, to station, to deploy the armies of God, the angels of the armies of God, to stand guard over you! Remember that you are come unto Mount Zion, the city of the living God, in the midst of an innumerable company of angels. (Hebrews 12:22)

צָבָא  tzāvā’  hosts/armies  –  army, warriors, warfare, host of angels, host of heaven, heavenly military service

Also, you need to be aware that the angels respond to the Word of God!  So, when you enact the Word, when you summon the Word, when you call upon the Father using the Word of God to fulfill His plans and purposes in accordance with these prayers of the Holy Spirit—those angels are activated! The angelic is activated! There are angels that possess the wisdoms of God. There are angels that possess the knowledge of God. There are angels that possess the understanding of God and angels of war that specializes in security, protection, defensive and offensive attacks!  Be aware that as you pray the prayers of the Spirit, those angels are released and activated to act in your life!

And here is the beautiful conclusion of this prayer: “Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.” Haha! This is incredible! God is not asking you to preserve yourself. God is not asking you to sanctify yourself by your own works or efforts. He says, “Faithful is the one who calls you, and He will make it happen!” He will do it! He called you with a holy calling—not according to your works, but according to His own purpose and grace. He sanctified you, He set you apart in your mother’s womb when it pleased Him. And now He says He will preserve you blameless until the day of the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ! Hallelujaaah!

Do you see how these prayers of the Holy Spirit are targeted, precise and critical? They prepare you and position you not only for the catching away of the church, but also for your preservation, health, soundness, prosperity, growth and maturity and safety whilst you wait for the day of the Lord’s appearing.  So God thought about what is going to be happening and what we are going to be busy with, and how we are going to be heavily guarded and protected as we wait for the catching away of the church.
That’s why the prayers of the Spirit you’ll find conclude with the declaration – “unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ” or “blameless at the day of His appearing.”  So it’s clear to see that these are the prayers that make you rapture-ready! So whether you’ve been a Christian for 50 years or one year, whether you’re a pastor or a new believer—these prayers are for you. Pray them. Contend with them. Lay hold of this will of God for your life, and watch the faithful God who called you make this a reality in your life!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You that You are the Lord of Hosts, the Commander of the armies of heaven. I thank You that as I pray Your will over my life, You activate Your angels to guard me, to preserve me, to watch over my spirit, my soul, and my body. I lay hold of Your provision of preservation today. I contend for Your purposes in my life. Thank You, Father, that You are faithful—You who called me will also do it. You will preserve me blameless until the glorious appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Speak The Word

I am carefully observed and guarded by the Lord of Hosts! The angels of God are stationed around me, preserving my spirit, my soul, and my body. No weapon formed against me shall prosper, for I am preserved by the Almighty God. Faithful is He who called me, and He will do it—He will sanctify me, He will preserve me, He will keep me blameless until the day of the appearing of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am positioned, I am prepared, I am ready for the catching away of the church, in the name of Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Sanctification – The Threefold Purging Work

Study The Word

1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV)
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We move on along to another prayer of the Spirit this time from 1st Thessalonians, and this is the will of God for your life penned down by inspiration of the Spirit of God.  It says: the very God of peace—the God of Shalom—His will for you is complete sanctification. Not partial.  But wholly, completely, absolutely sanctified in your spirit, in your soul, and in your body!

ἁγιάζω  hagiazō  sanctify  –  to make holy, purify, consecrate, separate, set apart for God

Think about this: God is not merely interested in your “spiritual” life while ignoring your soul and body. No! He wants the totality of your being sanctified! Your spirit—that innermost part of you that communes with God. Your soul—your mind, your will, your emotions, your feelings, your thoughts, your desires, your motives. And your body—the vessel, the temple that carries this glorious treasure. Every dimension of your existence is to be sanctified, purified, and made holy.

Now, how does this sanctification happen? The scriptures reveal to us a threefold purging work. First, you are sanctified by the blood of Jesus Christ. The blood of Yeshua Mashiach purges your conscience from dead works to serving the living God according to Hebrews 9:14 “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” That blood speaks better things and purges. That blood cleanses. That blood purifies. That blood deals with the shame and the guilt of both sin and the consciousness of sin in your life. Every dead work, every pattern of the old life, every residue of carnality—the blood of Jesus purges it out! Is there shame, guilt or anything from the past that the devil keeps using as accusations in your mind? Or memories of the past that keep tormenting you and holding you back? The blood of Jesus Christ has the power to access your conscious and cleanse it. So the blood of Jesus purifies our spirit from the contamination of sin, therefore your human spirit is perpetually cleansed by His blood. Secondly the blood of Jesus Christ has access to the deepest seat of your mind, your conscience. Your conscience is a part of your mind which is a component of your soul. So the blood of Jesus has access to cleanse your soul.  Now direct the blood of Jesus Christ to that shame, to that guilt, to that memory in your mind in prayer and demand it to be cleansed by the blood of Yeshua Mashiach! Yes! And start to love free from condemnation! Glory to God!

καθαρίζω  katharizō  purge/cleanse  –  to make clean, purify, cleanse from filth, cleanse from guilt, pronounce clean

You are also sanctified in your soul by the Word of God. Jesus said in John 17:17, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” The Word of God is a purifying agent! When you engage with the Word, when you meditate upon it, when you speak it, when you pray it—it purifies your mind, it transforms your will, it aligns your emotions, it sanctifies your desires and your motives. The Word has washing power! It has cleansing power! It has sanctifying power! That is what James 1:21 is talking about when it says “…receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.” And Romans 12:2 is referring to when it says “…but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” The word cleanses and renews your mind.

Third, you are sanctified by the fire of the Holy Spirit.  The Spirit of God is described as fire—purifying fire, refining fire, sanctifying fire! When the fire of the Holy Spirit moves upon your life, it burns away the dross, it consumes the chaff, it purifies your thoughts, your feelings, your actions. The fire of the Holy Spirit sanctifies your ambitions, your choices, your motives. Everything that is not of God is consumed by this holy fire! As you engage in this prayer of the Spirit, the Holy Spirit will fill your physical body, and as your are filled with the Spirit your body is being cleansed and purified.

So what does this mean for you today? It means that sanctification is not something you struggle to achieve in your own strength. No! God Himself—the very God of peace, the God of Shalom—He is the one who sanctifies you! Your part is to pray this will of God over your life, to align yourself with His purposes, and to receive His sanctifying work by the blood, by the Word, and by the fire of His Spirit. You are being purged, cleansed, and made holy—spirit, soul, and body—for the glory of God and in preparation for the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the revelation of Your threefold sanctifying work in my life. I receive the purging and cleansing of the blood of Jesus Christ over my spirit, my soul, and my body. I receive the sanctifying power of Your Word to transform my mind, my will, and my emotions. I receive the fire of Your Holy Spirit to purify my thoughts, my motives, my desires, and my actions. Thank You, Father, that You are the very God of peace who sanctifies me completely, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

I am sanctified wholly—spirit, soul, and body—by the blood of Jesus Christ, by the Word of God, and by the fire of the Holy Spirit! My conscience is purged from dead works to serving the living God. My mind, my will, my emotions, my thoughts, my desires, and my motives are cleansed and purified and aligned with the purposes of God. I am being made completely holy by the very God of peace, and I am fully prepared for the glorious appearing of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in the name of Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Empowered with Explosive Power According to His Omnipotence

Study The Word

Colossians 1:11-12 (KJV)
Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.”

The Spirit of God, through the Apostle Paul, reveals another dimension of God’s perfect will for your life which is: He wants you to be strengthened with all might according to His glorious power. Think about this: God doesn’t want us to be weak. God doesn’t want us to be helpless. God doesn’t want you to be that person who, when trouble comes, crumbles and cries, “Oh my God, what’s happening to my life? Why is this happening to me?” No! God wants you to be empowered with His supernatural, explosive, miraculous power.

The Passion Translation renders it powerfully: “And we pray that you would be energized with all His explosive power from the realm of His magnificent glory.”  Explosive power! This is the dynamic ability of God—the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead—operating in you. This is God’s perfect will. This is what He desires for every one of His children.

δύναμις dunamis might – inherent power, miraculous power, mighty divine force, ability to cause changes, spiritual power, dynamic ability

The word that is translated might is the Greek word dunamis.  This Greek word dunamis is where we get the English word “dynamite” from. It speaks of inherent, dynamic miraculous power, a mighty divine force, the ability to cause changes. This is not natural strength. This is not human capability. This is supernatural, spiritual power—the kind of power that can effect changes in any situation. And God wants you filled with it!

But notice the scripture doesn’t just say you’ll be strengthened with might. It says you’ll be strengthened with might according to His glorious power. This is crucial! It means that your empowerment is not according to your own ability or your own strength. It is according to the extent, the bounds, the full capacity of God’s own power. That is what kratos – power is. That is “according to His glorious kratos!”

κράτος kratos power – divine dominion, strength, mighty deed, supreme power, the full extent of God’s might, omnipotent capacity

The word kratos here speaks of divine dominion—God’s supreme power, His omnipotent capacity. It is all the power that God has access to as the Almighty, the All-Powerful One. And the scripture says you are strengthened according to the supply, the reservoir of all of God’s might. According to His omnipotence! Not according to your limitations, not according to your circumstances, but according to the total capacity of God’s omnipotence, He supplies you with supernatural power. Glory to God!

Now, why does God want you filled with this power? So you can show off? So you can impress people? No! It is so that you can go through this life, this world with its adversaries, its challenges, its trials—and emerge a champion! When that bad news comes, when that contract ends, when that relationship falls apart, when that sickness attacks—you are not found wanting. You are not found without help. You are not found without a solution. You have the supernatural, explosive power of God to cause the changes that you need!

That is how Jesus lived His life. No matter where He was, no matter what came His way, no matter what challenges He faced, He wasn’t crying, “Oh Father, please help!” No! He knew He was filled with the might according to God’s glorious power, and He would effect the changes He needed.  And that is your calling! That is your inheritance! You are to live the same way—empowered, strengthened, invigorated with God’s miracle-working power.

And here’s something beautiful: this power also enables you to have patience and longsuffering with joyfulness. Not patience with grumbling. Not endurance with complaining. But supernatural patience with joy! When you are filled with God’s power, you have the stamina to endure difficult times, and you also have the miraculous ability to change unfavourable situations. You can endure what needs to be endured, and you can change what needs to be changed. This is the balanced life of power that God has designed for you.

Now, how is this going to work? You have to pray these prayers of the Spirit! You see, God has already made these provisions available in Christ Jesus. But they don’t just activate automatically. Why? Because of the principle of free will. God has given you a will, and He will not override it. So when you pray, you are exercising your right of free will to endorse, to accept, to release, and to activate God’s plans and purposes of the working of His might according to His glorious power. So, you say, “Heavenly Father, I use my will to enforce Your will in my life. I use my will to activate Your power in my life, in the name of Jesus Christ.” And when you pray in accordance with His will, you know He hears you. And if you know He hears you, you know you have the petition you have desired of Him.

So you don’t have to wonder, “Is the power of God in me now?” Yes! You can now effect changes. You can now face life’s challenges knowing that 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, you are empowered with supernatural, miraculous power according to God’s omnipotence. Glory to God!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your perfect will to strengthen me with Your supernatural, explosive, miraculous power. I ask to be energized and empowered according to the full capacity of Your divine dominion and omnipotent might—not according to my ability, but according to Your unlimited power. I receive the grace to endure with joy, and I receive the dynamic ability to effect changes in every situation I face. Thank You, Father, that You have made me worthy to partake of the glorious inheritance of the saints in light, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

I am strengthened with all might according to God’s glorious power! I am energized and empowered with His explosive, supernatural, miraculous power according to the full capacity of His omnipotence. I face life as a champion—empowered to endure with joy and empowered to effect changes in every situation. I have the dunamis power of God at work in me 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. I am not helpless; I am not without solutions. I cause changes by the power of the Holy Spirit in me, in the name of Jesus Christ

Prayers Of The Spirit: Reservoirs of Divine Wisdom and Spiritual Intelligence

Study The Word
Colossians 1:9-10 (KJV)
“For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God.”

Did you know, that there is such a thing called spiritual wisdom, such a thing called spiritual understanding, and spiritual knowledge?  And these are actual things that exist?  Most Christians are not aware that these things are actually real.  And God has made these available to us by His Spirit.  Now, the first thing that needs to happen when you encounter information about these things in the scripture is to first acknowledge and accept that they are real; and then afterward you need to begin to appropriate, receive and activate these spiritual things.  And you do this through the prayers of the Spirit.  And our opening verse is one of the prayers of the Spirit by which you can ensure that you not only receive, but also activate spiritual wisdom, spiritual understanding and spiritual knowledge.

God’s perfect purpose for you is that you might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.  Think about this: so there is such a thing as spiritual understanding? This is real, and you can have it working in and through you. There is such a thing as spiritual intelligence! Remember, this is not the intelligence that the world celebrates—the kind that comes from prestigious universities or academic achievements. This is supernatural comprehension, a divine cognitive ability that enables you to understand and connect spiritual realities.

ἐπίγνωσις epignōsis knowledge – precise knowledge, full discernment, complete understanding, experiential knowledge, deep personal acquaintance

This Greek word epignōsis speaks of a precise, experiential knowledge—a deep, personal acquaintance with the will of God. God wants you to have this kind of intimate knowledge of His purposes, His plans, and His Word. He wants you to know Him and His will with such clarity and depth that it transforms every area of your life.
And then the scripture adds “in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.” The Passion Translation says—God wants to make you “reservoirs of every kind of wisdom.” Haha! Did you hear that? You are not meant to be a puddle that dries up in the heat of life’s challenges. You are meant to be a reservoir—a deep, abundant, inexhaustible supply of divine wisdom and spiritual intelligence. Glory to God!

σοφία sophia wisdom – broad intelligence, divine wisdom, skill in the affairs of life, practical wisdom, insight into the true nature of things

Sophia wisdom is the divine ability to apply knowledge correctly. It is not merely knowing facts about God; it is knowing how to navigate life according to His principles. It is having spiritual insight into the true nature of things—seeing beyond the natural into the spiritual realities that govern our existence.
And then there’s sunesis—spiritual understanding, spiritual intelligence. This is your God-given capacity to comprehend spiritual concepts, to see relationships between divine truths, and to connect the dots of what God is doing in your life and in the world. Some of you have been walking through life without this activated, and you’ve been wondering why things don’t make sense. It’s because you need this spiritual intelligence! You need this supernatural comprehension of the things of God. Hallelujah!
Why does God want you filled with all this wisdom, knowledge, and understanding? Verse 10 tells us: “That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work.”  This spiritual intelligence is not for show. It’s not so you can impress people with your spiritual vocabulary.  It is so that you can walk worthy of the Lord.
It positions you to live a life that pleases God in everything. It enables you to be fruitful—to produce results—in every good work you put your hand to do.
You see, when you have spiritual wisdom, when you have spiritual knowledge and understanding, you can now discern God’s plans and purposes.

σύνεσις sunesis understanding – intelligence, comprehension, the ability to understand concepts and see relationships, mental discernment, capacity to connect ideas

You can now understand what He is doing and how He wants you to be involved. You can now connect with His agenda for your life. And when you align yourself with His purposes, fruitfulness is inevitable!  You become productive, effective, and successful in everything you do—not by your own strength, but because you are operating with divine intelligence.
And the scripture says you will be “increasing in the knowledge of God.” This is a continuous, progressive, ever-expanding experience. You don’t reach a point where you’ve learned everything about God. No! By the spirit of wisdom, the spirit of knowledge, and the spirit of understanding, you are continually growing, continually expanding, continually going deeper in your knowledge of Him.
He wants you to have this supernatural understanding of His purposes. He wants you to have this spiritual intelligence where your mind can comprehend and connect divine information. He wants you to be a walking, talking reservoir of every kind of wisdom. So when you pray these prayers of the Spirit, know that you are praying and activating what He has already made available to you. You are releasing what He has already given you freely by His Spirit. Glory to God!

Pray The Word
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your perfect will to fill me with the knowledge of Your purpose in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. I receive today this supernatural intelligence, this divine comprehension of Your plans and purposes for my life. I declare that I am a reservoir of every kind of wisdom—spiritual wisdom, divine knowledge, and supernatural understanding flow through me abundantly. By this I walk worthy of You, Lord, unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work and ever increasing in the knowledge of You, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word
I am filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding! I am a reservoir of divine wisdom, spiritual knowledge, and supernatural intelligence. My mind comprehends and connects spiritual realities; I have the capacity to understand God’s plans and purposes for my life. I walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, and I am fruitful in every good work. I am continually increasing in the knowledge of God by the Spirit of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding at work in me, in the name of Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Prayers of Rapture Preparation

Study The Word
Philippians 1:10-11 (KJV)
That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

The prayers of the Holy Spirit that we have been engaging with and learning about, are the prayers of rapture preparation! These are the prayers that every child of God, every Christian who is watching and waiting for the Lord’s return, every believer who understands the times we are living in, should be praying in this hour!

Let’s look at what the word says in this prayer of the Spirit. It says “that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.”
Till the day of Christ!  The majority of these prayer points that the Holy Spirit has given us carries this same exclamation, this same destination, this same goal—our posture of prayer and preparation as we wait for the day of the Lord, the appearing of Christ, the catching away of the church!  The Holy Spirit has a purpose, and that purpose is to prepare you, to build you, to perfect you, to mature you while you wait for the appearing of Christ!
So the prayers of the Spirit are our spiritual development and growth prayer materials that we have been given by the Spirit of God.

ἡμέρα hēmera day – day, time, appointed time

The Greek word for “day” is “hēmera,” and when used with “of Christ,” it refers to that appointed time—the day of Jesus Christ’s appearing, the day when He returns for His church, the blessed hope that every
child of God is looking forward to with eager anticipation! And the Holy Spirit, in His infinite wisdom and perfect timing and loving care for the church, has given us these prayer points specifically to prepare us for that day!  They are strategic, divinely orchestrated prayers designed by the Holy Spirit Himself to get the church ready for the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
If you’ve been paying attention to each of the prayer points we’ve been going through, you will notice something remarkable and consistent. At the end of every prayer point, there is this exclamation—”so that you may be ready for the day of the Lord,” “so that you may be prepared for the appearing of Christ,” “until the day of Christ,” “until the coming of our Lord Jesus.”  Why? These prayers are to prepare and position you for the biggest event in human history—the appearing of Jesus Christ and, the catching away of the church, the rapture!”

παρουσία parousia appearing – presence, revealing, showing

The word commonly used for Christ’s return is “parousia,” meaning His presence, His revealing, His appearing in glory. And every prayer point the Holy Spirit has given us is designed to prepare us for that parousia! He’s not leaving us unprepared and caught off guard. He’s not letting us stumble into that day unready. He’s not allowing us to be surprised and shocked when the trumpet sounds. Through these prayers, He is equipping us, preparing us, sanctifying us, making us ready to meet our Lord! The Holy Spirit knows exactly what’s coming, He sees the timeline of eternity, and in His love for the church, He has provided us with the exact prayers we need to be ready!
He says He wants us to be “sincere and without offence till the day of Christ.”
Without offence is the Greek “aproskopoi,” and it means without stumbling, not causing others to stumble, blameless, free from anything that would cause us to fall or fail, giving no cause for offense to anyone. God is preparing a church that will be found blameless when Jesus returns! A church that hasn’t stumbled! A church that hasn’t caused others to stumble! A church that has been walking in love, growing
in discernment, living sincere genuine lives that honor God! This is the Holy Spirit’s agenda for this specific hour in history!

ἀπρόσκοποι aproskopoi without offence – without stumbling, blameless, not causing others to stumble, giving no cause for offense

Think about the significance of this for your life today. The Holy Spirit is not just concerned with your daily comfort and convenience. He’s not just focused on your temporary challenges and momentary difficulties. He has an eternal perspective, a kingdom mindset, and He’s preparing you for the most significant moment in all of human history—the return of Jesus Christ for His church! And these prayers are His tools for that preparation. When you pray these prayers, when you engage with these scriptural declarations, when you align yourself with the Holy Spirit’s agenda, you are actively positioning yourself to be found ready when the Lord appears!

So use the prayers of the Spirit resource that we have put together on this platform. Come back to them again and again. Let them play in the background throughout your day, whether you’re washing dishes, doing house chores, driving, or whatever you’re busy with. Let the prayers minister to your spirit. Let them fuel the fire of prayer within you. Let them keep you aligned with heaven’s agenda for this hour!
These are the days we have been waiting for. These are the times the prophets spoke about. And the Holy Spirit, in His wonderful love and wisdom, has given us these prayers to ensure that when Jesus appears, we are found ready, filled, blameless, and overflowing with the fruits of righteousness unto the glory and praise of our God!
Glory to God!

Pray The Word
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the prayers of the Holy Spirit that are preparing me for the day of Christ. I receive today this divine preparation for Your appearing. Fill me completely with the fruits of righteousness that are by Jesus Christ. Make me sincere and without offense until Your return. Help me to align myself with heaven’s agenda for this hour, and position me to be found ready, blameless, and overflowing with the fruit of righteousness at the unveiling of Christ, unto Your glory and praise, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word
I am being prepared for the day of Christ! The prayers of the Holy Spirit are equipping me, positioning
me, and making me ready for the Lord’s return. I am sincere and without offense until the day of Jesus Christ. I am filled—not partially, but completely with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ unto the glory and praise of God. I am rapture-ready, abounding in love, knowledge, and discernment. I live a life that leads others away from sin. I will be found blameless at the appearing of my Lord, bringing great praise and glory to God, in the name of Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit: The Experiential Knowledge of God’s Love

Study The Word

Philippians 1:9 (KJV)
“And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment.”

Here is another prayer that the Holy Spirit Himself has put into the scriptures for us—a prayer that unlocks one of the most profound spiritual realities available to every child of God.  Now the Apostle Paul doesn’t just pray that your love would increase; he prays that your love would abound. And then he doesn’t stop there—he says “yet more and more in knowledge.” Wow, so there is an intensity to this thing that is also being revealed? An intensity that’s progressive, an ever-expanding intensity of the nature of what God’s desire is for you regarding your knowledge and experience of His love?
So God is not satisfied with you having just a little bit of a knowledge or an experience of His love. He’s not content with you experiencing His love in some distant, theoretical, textbook way. There’s an progressive intensity where he wants your love to intensify, to overflow, to super-abound still more and more in knowledge!  This is the will of God, ever-increasing, ever-expanding, ever-growing experience of His love both in you and through you!

But here’s where it gets interesting, and it’s important to pay very close attention to this because this is the key that unlocks everything else. The scripture says your love is to abound still more and more “in knowledge.”  Now, you might study this and think, “Okay, knowledge—I understand that word.”  But you’d need to learn more.  And the Greek word used here is not the ordinary word and understanding for knowledge that you are familiar with.  The word used here is “epignosis.

ἐπίγνωσις epignosis knowledge – full knowledge, precise knowledge, experiential knowledge, revelation knowledge, complete  and exact knowledge

You see, epignosis is full and complete, experiential knowledge.  It’s a knowledge that brings you into an experience! This is not theoretical knowledge from studying books or head knowledge that just works in your brain.  This is transformative knowledge that comes from interaction and experience.  So there’s a beautiful, divine cycle happening here that the Holy Spirit wants you to understand and enter into.

Your experience of the love of God will give you a knowledge of the love of God that is ever increasing with every every experience!  Remember there’s a massive difference between knowing about something and actually experiencing it. For example: I can tell you about the taste of honey all day long. I can describe its sweetness, its texture, its golden color. I can give you the chemical composition of honey. I can explain the process by which bees create honey, or you can read about it in a book. But until you actually taste honey for yourself, and experience it for yourself you don’t really know honey. You have information about honey, but you don’t have epignosis of honey. You get it? You have data, but you don’t have experience. You’ll have facts, but you won’t have revelation.

ἀγάπη agape love – the love of God, sacrificial love, affectionate & humble, patient & kind, giving & forgiving, eternal – unchanging & unending, unconditional & reliable active benevolent love of God.

This is exactly what the Holy Spirit is communicating through this prayer. He’s saying that your love—the agape love of God that has been shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit according to Romans 5:5—is meant to grow and increase through experiential knowledge.

This is the highest form of love, divine love, unconditional love, sacrificial love—and this love is meant to keep growing in you through experience! The more you experience the love of God, the more you know the love of God. And the more you know the love of God experientially, the more you can walk in it, live it, and express it to others glory to God!

And
the more you walk in it and express it, the more it abounds and increases! Glory to God! It’s a divine cycle of ever-increasing love that never stops, never plateaus, never reaches a ceiling, never runs dry!
Let me show you how the Amplified Version puts it: “And this I pray, that your love may abound more and more, displaying itself in greater depth in real knowledge and in practical insight.”  The Word says in real knowledge and in practical insight! So this is not theoretical love that you read about in a theology book. Or sentimental gush that rises and falls with your emotions. Think about it, this is not religious performance on deliverables and acceptance from church superiors kind of love, that looks good on the outside but is empty within. What epignosis is referring to is real, experiential, practical love of God that grows deeper and deeper as you get to know God intimately and experientially.

περισσεύω perisseuō abound – to exceed, to overflow, to have in abundance, to be more than enough, to super-abound

Let’s look deeper and get into the he word “abound” which is the Greek word “perisseuō,” and it means to exceed, to overflow, to have in abundance, to be more than enough, to super-abound!

This is the kind of love God wants operating in your life—love that is more than enough, love that overflows, love that exceeds every expectation, love that super-abounds! He wants you overflowing! He wants you exceeding! He wants your love tank so full that it spills over onto everyone around you and transforms your environment.

And notice—this abundant love is directly connected to your knowledge of God. The more you know Him, the more you experience Him, the more revelation you receive of who He is and how much He loves you—the more your love grows.
Spend time in His presence. Meditate on His Word. Pray, worship and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Because in those moments of intimate fellowship with your Heavenly Father, you will begin to gain epignosis-knowledge. You begin to gain experiential knowledge.  Every moment you spend in intimate fellowship with Him is an investment in this ever-increasing, ever-abounding love that transforms everything about your life!

So today, make the decision: I will no longer be satisfied with gnosis. I will pursue epignosis. I will press into experience. I will let the love of God flood my heart until it transforms every area of my life. This is your time to grow, to increase, to abound still more and more in the knowledge of God’s love!
Glory to God! Hallelujah!

Pray The Word
Heavenly Father, I thank You for this revelation of epignosis—the experiential knowledge of Your love. I pray today that my love would abound yet more and more, not in mere information, but in real, revelation knowledge of who You are and how deeply You love me. Flood my heart with the experience of Your love, Father. Let Your liquid love envelop me, transform me, and cause my love to super-abound still more and more in knowledge and in all discernment. I choose today to move from knowing about Your love to truly knowing Your love experientially, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word
The love of God that is shed abroad in my heart super-abounds still more and more in epignosis—in experiential, revelation knowledge! I don’t just know about God’s love; I experience God’s love daily. The more I know Him, the more my love grows and increases beyond measure. I am being brought into the rich revelation of spiritual insight through my intimate experience of the Father’s love.

Prayers Of The Spirit: The Confidence of Divine Completion

Study The Word

Philippians 1:6 KJV
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

There’s a confidence that the Word of God wants to establish in your heart today. A confidence that is not based on your own abilities, not based on your track record, not based on how well you’ve performed—but a confidence rooted in the faithfulness of the One who started the work in you! The Apostle Paul says, “Being confident of this very thing.”  This is confident assurance based on the unchanging character of God!

Now, I want you to pay very close attention to a key word in this verse. Paul says God “will perform it.” The word “perform” is the Greek word epiteleō, and when you understand what this word means, it will revolutionize your expectation!

ἐπιτελέω  epiteleō  perform  —  to fulfill further, to bring to completion, to execute, to accomplish, to finish, to perfect, to complete fully

This prayer of the Spirit is so rich in meaning and blessing.  To get everything we can from it we need to look at the word “perform” – epiteleō and that word means to fulfill further!  In other words the prayer is to further establish a mindset in you of knowing that firstly, God began a work in you and God is actively at work in you right now.  Secondly, also knowing that He is actively fulfilling it further! He is executing it further! He is bringing it to completion! The Expanded Bible translation says He “will continue it until it is finished, completed, perfected.” Hallelujah! This is the will of God for your life—that the good work He started in you from the first day you believed would be fulfilled further, executed further, and brought to perfect completion!
Today I want you to know that God is not done with you; He is not done with the plans that He has for your life.
Maybe you are thinking that you have gone so far or you are so far gone to the point that God can not do anything with your life again. Listen, He is not done with you!  “He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ!”

God is not a God who starts projects and abandons them. He’s not like a contractor who begins building your house and then disappears halfway through. When God begins something, He completes it! When He starts a work, He finishes it! This is His nature. This is His character. This is His commitment to you as His child.

τέλειος  teleios  complete  —  perfect, finished, mature, having reached its end, fully developed

The root of epiteleō is teleios, which speaks of something that has reached its intended end, its designed purpose, its full maturity. You get it? God’s work in you is moving toward teleios—toward complete perfection, toward full maturity, toward the fulfillment of everything He designed you to be! And He will not stop until you get there!

Now, The Living Bible Translation says, “And I’m sure that God who began the good work within you will keep right on helping you grow in His grace until His task within you is finally finished.” Did you catch that phrase “His task within you?” This is not your task; it’s His task! The work of transformation, the work of sanctification, the work of bringing you to full maturity—it’s His task, and He takes responsibility for completing it! Glory to God!

This should give you such confidence! Even when you stumble—and God knows we are going to stumble—but God is always, always going to pick you back up! Even if you stumble to the left or stumble to the right, He’s going to complete the work! Maybe you made a mistake. Maybe you drew back for a season. Maybe you say, “I’m going to take a break.” Just remember: He’s going to complete it! Glory to God!  You are not disqualified from His completion! He that began that good work, we are confident that He will perfect it!

πέποιθα  pepoitha  being confident  —  to be persuaded, to trust, to have confidence, to be fully convinced

Taking it a step further, the word “confident” here is pepoitha, and it means to be fully persuaded, to be absolutely convinced. Paul is saying, “I am fully persuaded, absolutely convinced, completely confident that God will complete what He started!”  And this  which he is communicating isn’t positive thinking. This is faith grounded in the character of God and the power and authority of His Word. And this is the confidence He wants you to walk in every single day of your life!

The devil will try to shake this confidence. He’ll bring accusations. He’ll remind you of your failures. He’ll point to areas where you haven’t measured up. But you need to understand—the completion of God’s work in you is not dependent on your perfection or imperfection; it’s dependent on His perfection and His faithfulness! He who began the work will complete it! Stop trying to complete yourself; surrender yourself to the ministry of His Word and whole heartedly trust the One who is completing you!

The Passion Translation says: “I pray with great faith for you because I’m fully convinced that the one who began this glorious work in you will faithfully continue the process of maturing you and will put his finishing touches to it until the unveiling of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Hahaa!
He will put His finishing touches to it! Like a master artist who never leaves a masterpiece incomplete, God is putting His finishing touches on your life! The grace is increasing. The knowledge is increasing. The wisdom is increasing. The ability is increasing. The power is increasing. The anointing is increasing. You are growing unto maturity, unto the full stature of the fulness of Christ, everything is being perfected!

ἄχρι  achri  until  —  until, as far as, up to the point of

Notice also that God will perform this work “until the day of Jesus Christ.” The word “until” is achri—it means all the way up to that point, without stopping. God’s work in you doesn’t have an expiration date before Christ returns. He is still working in you, perfecting, completing, everyday all the way until that glorious day when Jesus appears. Your transformation is an ongoing, continuous work of grace that God Himself has committed to finish!

So today, receive this confident assurance into your spirit. Stop trying to complete yourself through striving and self-effort. Stop beating yourself up over areas where you haven’t arrived yet. Instead, rest in the confidence that the One who began the good work is faithfully, actively, diligently bringing it to completion. He is perfecting it. He is executing it further. He is fulfilling His purpose in you. And nothing—no distraction, no delay, no detour—can stop what God has determined to finish in your life!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the confident assurance that You who began a good work in me will faithfully complete it. I release every anxiety about my growth, every fear about my failures, and every doubt about my progress into Your capable hands. You are the One who is perfecting, completing, and bringing to fulfillment everything You started in me from the first day I believed. I trust You, Lord. I am fully persuaded that Your work in me cannot be stopped, cannot be hindered, and cannot fail. Thank You for Your faithfulness, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Speak The Word

I am confident of this very thing: He who began a good work in me is performing it, fulfilling it further, and bringing it to completion! God’s work in me cannot be stopped. God’s purpose for my life cannot be frustrated. I am being perfected, matured, and brought to the fullness of everything God designed me to be. The grace is increasing. The anointing is increasing. The wisdom is increasing. I am fully persuaded that my faithful God will complete His task in me until the day of Jesus Christ, in the name of Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Divine Partnership in the Gospel

Study The Word

Philippians 1:3-6 (KJV)
“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

Another amazing prayer of the Spirit revealed to us as the Apostle Paul prays for the Philippian church and he says he’s “praying with joy!”
“Making request with joy”, he says. So there’s something about the church that brings the Apostle Paul tremendous joy every time he remembers them in prayer. What is it? It’s their fellowship in the gospel! What is the word referring to when the KJV says fellowship?  Now, the word “fellowship” here is the Greek word koinonia, and this is where it gets really exciting. Most of us have heard this word before, but in this context, it carries a very specific meaning.

κοινωνία  koinonia  fellowship  —  partnership, participation, communion, contribution, intimacy, joint participation, sharing together

Koinonia doesn’t just mean casual fellowship like we’re sitting around having coffee together at a cell group—although that’s wonderful too! In this context, it specifically means partnership. The Expanded Bible translation brings this out beautifully when it says, “I thank God for the help you gave me, your partnership, participation in spreading the good news, the gospel.” You get it? These believers had entered into a divine partnership with God in the propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ!

From the very first day they believed, they weren’t just sitting on the sidelines as spectators. No! They became active partners with God, with the Holy Spirit, and with the Lord Jesus Christ Himself in spreading the good news. They participated. They contributed. They shared in the work. And because of this partnership, Paul had absolute confidence that God would complete the work He started in them.

Now let me ask you a very important question: Have you entered into this divine partnership? Have you partnered with the Lord Jesus Christ in spreading His message? Have you partnered with the Holy Spirit in the propagation of the gospel? You see, there are many ways you can get involved in partnering with God. There are many vehicles, many platforms, many ministries, many organizations that are propagating the word of God. You can partner with them! You can be part of what God is doing in the earth!

μετοχή  metochē  sharing  —  partnership, participation, fellowship, contribution, communion

The beautiful thing about this partnership is that it’s not one-sided. When you partner with God in the gospel, something extraordinary happens—God partners with you! He commits Himself to complete the work He began in you. He pledges to fulfill, to execute, to bring to perfection everything He started in you from the very moment when you received Jesus Christ and got born again. This is the divine exchange of koinonia! You give yourself to the communion of the gospel, the participation in the Word of God, and contribution and partnership and furtherance of His gospel, and God reciprocates and gives Himself to the completion of His purpose in your life.

The Passion Translation captures it in this way: “I’m so grateful for our union and our enduring partnership that began the first time I presented to you the gospel.” There’s a union here! There’s an enduring partnership! It’s not temporary. It’s not seasonal. It began the first day you believed and it continues until the day of Jesus Christ’s appearing. Glory to God!

συγκοινωνός  sygkoinōnos  fellow partaker  —  joint-participant, joint-partner, partner together with, sharer

You are a joint participant, a co-partner with God Himself! You’re not working for God from a distance; you’re working together with Him in intimate partnership. When you share the gospel with someone, God is right there working in and through you. When you support a ministry that’s spreading the word, you become a partner with Him for every soul that’s won, for every life that’s transformed, for every revelation that’s released. Hahaa! This is the glorious privilege of your divine partnership with God Almighty!

Think about the implications of this truth. Every time you participate in the publishing of the gospel—whether through your finances, your time, your gifts, your prayers, or your personal witness—you are activating this divine partnership. And when that partnership is active, you position yourself for God’s confident assurance that He will complete everything He started in you. The grace increases. The knowledge increases. The wisdom increases. The ability increases. The desires increase. Everything you need for the fulfillment of God’s purpose in your life is released through this glorious partnership!

I declare over your life today: “You are brought into oneness with God! You are in partnership with the Father, in partnership with the Son Jesus Christ, and in partnership with the Holy Spirit in the work of propagating the gospel and the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ in and through you, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!”
This is your calling.  This is your divine assignment. And as you continue to walk in this partnership, God Himself guarantees the completion of His good work in your life!

κοινωνέω  koinōneō  to share  —  to be a partaker, to contribute, to communicate, to distribute

So today, I want you to make a decision. If you haven’t already, step into this divine partnership. Find a way to contribute to the spread of the gospel. Participate in the work of the kingdom. Share in the mission of reaching the world with the good news of Jesus Christ. And as you do, watch God’s confidence over your life become your reality. Watch Him perfect, complete, and bring to glorious fulfillment everything He began in you from the first day you believed. Hallelujah!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the glorious privilege of divine partnership in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thank You for bringing me into koinonia—into intimate fellowship and joint participation with You, with the Holy Spirit, and with the Lord Jesus in spreading the gospel to the world. I commit myself afresh today to this partnership, knowing that as I participate in the furtherance of Your gospel, You are faithful to complete the good work You began in me. I receive more grace, more wisdom, and more capacity for this glorious work, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

I have been brought into divine partnership with God—partnership with the Father, partnership with the Son Jesus Christ, and partnership with the Holy Spirit in the propagation of the gospel! I am a joint participant, a co-partner with the Almighty in spreading the good news of salvation. As I walk in this koinonia, God is completing, perfecting, and fulfilling His good work in me. I am not a spectator; I am an active partner in the greatest mission on earth, and the grace for this partnership is multiplying in my life, in the name of Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit: The Sweet Friendship Of The Holy Spirit

Study The Word

2 Corinthians 13:14 (AMP)
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”

We’ve explored the excellence that is God’s will for your life and the grace—the divine influence—that empowers you to walk in that excellence. But now we come to what I believe is one of the most precious and often overlooked aspects of our Christian walk: the fellowship of the Holy Spirit! The Apostle Paul prays that “the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” This is incredible, hallelujah!

The word “fellowship” here is the Greek word koinonia.

The first meaning of koinonia is oneness! The fellowship of the Holy Spirit that God wants you to have is a state of oneness with the Spirit of God! What does this mean? It means that the Holy Spirit is now one with your spirit! You have a oneness with Him! Hey, so everything that you do comes from your oneness with the Holy Spirit. Everything that you embark on, glory to God, you’re conscious that you are one with the Holy Spirit in this thing. The Holy Spirit is one with you! That is the koinonia!

But there’s another beautiful dimension to koinonia—it also means partnership! That means that the Holy Spirit is partnering with you in your work, in your ministry, in your life! And here’s what makes this even more powerful: this is a reciprocated partnership! That means that you partner with Him, and in that agreement of you partnering with the Holy Spirit in the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the things you’re doing in your life, the Holy Spirit also reciprocates and partners with you. He backs you!

κοινωνία  koinonia  fellowship  –  communion, partnership, sharing, oneness, intimate participation, joint partnership

I have the backing of the Holy Spirit! That is the koinonia of the Holy Spirit that is with me. That means that the Holy Spirit has got my back! The Holy Spirit is backing me! Glory to God! And I’m conscious of this. Be conscious of this! The koinonia—the partnership, the oneness—of the Holy Spirit is with you!

But now, here’s my favorite aspect of koinonia—it also means friendship! The sweet friendship of the Holy Spirit! Let me ask you a question: Do you have a friendship with the Holy Spirit? Is the Holy Spirit your friend? Not just your God, not just your Helper, not just your Comforter—but your Friend? As Scripture says, He’s a friend that sticks closer than a brother!

The sweet friendship, the oneness, hallelujah, the partnership and the friendship of the Holy Spirit—this is what God wants for your life! He’s always been there as your friend, but maybe you have never recognized Him as your friend. In this prayer point, we see that it is now the will of God for your life that the friendship of the Holy Spirit be with you. God’s will for your life is that you have that friendship with the Holy Spirit just like the Lord Jesus Christ had that friendship with the Holy Spirit!

Oh, think about this! You can say to the Holy Spirit: “Holy Spirit, be my friend. Holy Spirit, I want to be Your friend. Holy Spirit, I recognize You as my friend!” He is the friend that sticks closer than a brother. He is the friend that never leaves! Lo, He is with you forever! He is that friend that will never leave you! When everybody else leaves, if everybody leaves, the Holy Spirit is that friend that will never leave!

He’s that friend that encourages you. He’s that friend that supports you. He’s that friend, hallelujah, that strengthens you. He’s that friend that guides you into all reality, into all truth. The Holy Spirit is that friend! Oh, thank you, Holy Spirit!

From today, begin to recognize the Holy Spirit as your friend. Begin to walk with your friend, your eternal friend, the Spirit of God. Be awakened to the Holy Spirit as your friend, as your best friend! The sweet friendship of the Holy Spirit is with you. May your relationship with the Holy Spirit be elevated from today in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth!

You’ll hear Him when He’s calling. You’ll hear Him when He whispers. You will hear Him when He wakes you up. You will hear Him when He says, “Go this way.” You will hear the Holy Spirit when He says, “Do this project. Do it this way. Don’t say it like this. Say it this way.” You will hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, your best friend, clearly from today! Glory to God!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the koinonia—the fellowship, the oneness, the partnership, and the sweet friendship of the Holy Spirit. I acknowledge the Holy Spirit as my friend today, not just my Helper or Comforter, but my dear Friend who sticks closer than a brother. Holy Spirit, I welcome Your friendship into every area of my life. I partner with You and I receive Your partnership in return. Thank You for never leaving me, for guiding me, for encouraging me, and for backing me in everything I do, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

The sweet friendship of the Holy Spirit is with me! I am one with the Holy Spirit—we have koinonia! The Holy Spirit is my partner and I partner with Him. He backs me in everything I do. The Holy Spirit is my best friend, the Friend that sticks closer than a brother, the Friend that never leaves. I hear His voice when He calls, when He whispers, when He guides. From today, my relationship with the Holy Spirit is elevated to a new dimension of friendship and intimacy, in the name of Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit: The Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ

Study The Word

2 Corinthians 13:14 (KJV)
“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.”

This is one of the most comprehensive benedictions in all of Scripture, and it carries within it the secret to how you’re going to walk in the excellence we discussed. You might be wondering, “Okay, Shingi, I understand that God wants me to do things excellently, but how is this going to be working? How am I going to produce excellence consistently?” The answer is right here in 2 Corinthians 13 verse 14: “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ!”

Now, when many Christians hear the word “grace,” they immediately think of unmerited favor or God’s forgiveness for our sins. And yes, grace certainly includes that dimension. But the Holy Spirit wants to expand your understanding of grace today. The word “grace” is the Greek word charis, and it carries a meaning that will change how you see yourself and your capabilities!

χάρις  charis  grace  –  divine influence upon the heart, graciousness, favor, gratitude, benefit, gift

Grace is divine influence!  So how are you going to be doing things excellently? How are you going to produce magnificent work? How are you going to deliver those admirable results? And the answer is: because there’s a divine influence in your life! The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ!

When you go to work tomorrow morning, you’re not going alone. Be conscious that there’s something at work in your life. When you sit down to tackle that challenging project, you’re not relying on your own strength. When you face that difficult client or that impossible deadline, you have something that the world doesn’t have—you have the divine influence of the Lord Jesus Christ upon your life! Hallelujah!
So, everything that you get involved with, you will see the characteristics of the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ at work in and through you!  And this grace is not passive. It’s active. It’s not just God looking favorably upon you from a distance—it’s God’s divine ability and influence actively working in and through everything you do!

ἐνέργεια  energeia  working  –  operation, efficiency, active power, energy, superhuman power at work

The divine influence, the divine ability, the divine power of the Lord Jesus Christ—it is upon your life and everything that you lay your hands upon to do to make it prosper! Everything with your name on it, the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ is abundant on it. Everything with your name on it—every project, every business deal, every contract—in the name of Jesus, the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ is upon it!

Imagine this is how you think and speak about yourself as you go about your life as this becomes your reality: “As I embark on this project, the grace and divine influence of the Lord Jesus Christ is with me. It is upon my life. Therefore this project is going to be excellent. I’m going to perform excellently on this job, on this project in the name of Jesus Christ!” How can you lose?  You see, the life of a Christian is a life of winning and a life of winners; a life of always winning. It’s a life of triumph! That’s your life, so always think of winning. Never accommodate thoughts of losing, they are not for you.  You always win!

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ is at work in your life. He’s at work in your business. He’s at work in your job. He’s at work in your career. He’s at work in your friendships. He’s at work in your relationships. He’s at work in every area of your life! Glory to God! The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ is at work in and through you!

δύναμις  dunamis  power  –  ability, might, strength, miraculous power, inherent capability

This is why you can walk in confidence. This is why you don’t have to be intimidated by challenges. This is why you can declare boldly: “I am backed up! I am sponsored by the divine influence, by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ! Therefore, I only produce things that are excellent. I only produce things that are admirable. I only produce things that are magnificent!”

If I get involved, it’s going to be admirable. It’s going to be excellent. It’s going to be magnificent—by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ! On that assignment, it is going to be excellent in the name of Jesus. Whatever I lay my hands upon to do is excellent in the name of Jesus Christ. Why? Because of the grace of Jesus Christ that is upon my life!

Therefore, it can only be excellent. It can only be magnificent. It can only be beautiful. When you’re dealing with that client, in the name of Jesus, there’s excellence, there’s beauty, there’s admiration, there’s magnificence! Why? Because the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ is operational in your life. The divine influence of heaven is at work through you Glory to God! Live everyday with this consciousness and see your life glide.

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ that is upon my life. I acknowledge that this grace is not just favor, but divine influence—Your active power working in and through me. I receive this grace today and I declare that it is operational in every area of my life. Thank You that I don’t operate in my own strength, but I function under the divine influence of heaven. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ is upon my projects, my assignments, my business, and my career, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ is upon my life! The divine influence of the Lord Jesus Christ is in operation in everything I do. I am backed up! I am sponsored by divine influence! Therefore, everything I lay my hands upon produces excellent results. When I engage with projects, clients, and assignments, I carry the divine influence of heaven with me. The grace of Jesus Christ is abundant in my business, my job, my career, and every area of my life. I cannot fail because divine influence is at work, in the name of Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Excellence Is God’s Will For Your Life

Study The Word

2 Corinthians 13:7 (KJV)
“Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.”

On our power filled journey through the prayers of the Holy Spirit, today we encounter something that will absolutely transform the way you approach everything you do daily. The Apostle Paul once again, being moved by the Holy Spirit, is praying for the children of God in Corinth, and his prayer carries within it a beautiful revelation about God’s expectations for your life. He says, “I pray to God that ye do no evil.” Now, you might think, “Well, of course, I don’t want to do evil. I’m not out here committing crimes or hurting people.” But wait—let’s look at something incredible about what “evil” really means in this context! Evil here actually means to do something that is not excellent, or something that is substandard, or of a poor quality.

The Appstle Paul says he prays that you do no evil, “but that ye should do that which is honest.”  The contrast here is not between doing evil and doing good in the way we typically think of it. The contrast is between doing evil and doing that which is honest.  The word translated “honest” in this passage is the Greek word kalos, and it means so much more than simply being truthful or sincere. The word means excellent, admirable, beautiful and magnificent.

καλός  kalos  honest  –  excellent, admirable, beautiful, magnificent, good, noble

This prayer of the Spirit is to activate and establish in you that you do things that are excellent!  That everything you put your hand to do is that which turns out admirable! That your work, your projects, your assignments and everything that you lay your hands upon to do be beautiful and magnificent! This is incredible! This means that it is the will of God for your life to do things excellently. To do things that are admirable.  So, when you wake up in the morning and you’re about to go to work, before you step out that door, you need to declare: “It is the will of God for me to do things that are excellent today in the name of Jesus Christ! I do the things that are admirable! I do things that are beautiful! I do things that are magnificent in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!”

So the opposite of doing what is excellent, admirable, beautiful, and magnificent is what Paul calls it “doing evil.”
That means when you do a shoddy job, when you deliver less than your best, when you cut corners and produce mediocre work—the Bible calls that evil!  Goodness! That puts a whole new perspective on how we approach our daily tasks, doesn’t it? The Holy Spirit is telling us that mediocrity is not just a bad habit; in God’s economy, it’s classified as evil! That thing you were going to rush through? That project you were going to give half your effort to? The Word of God says that’s evil, hallelujah!

κακός  kakos  evil  –  bad, worthless, wrong, wicked, harmful, base, of poor quality

You see, the life of a Christian is a life of winners! It’s a life of triumph! When you understand that excellence is not optional but is actually the will of God for your life, everything changes. When you’re setting out on that project, when you’re preparing to deliver for that client, when you’re about to present that proposal to your boss—your mindset should be: “This will be excellent. This will be admirable. This will be magnificent. Why? Because this is how the Word of God has framed my thinking!”

The Passion Translation puts it beautifully: “We pray hard that it will all come together in your lives.”  God wants it to all come together in your life. He wants your execution to be flawless. He wants you to be flawless on your job. He wants you to be flawless in your delivery for that client. In the name of Jesus, you are flawless in your execution! Yes!

Now, I know what some of you might be thinking: “But Shingi, I don’t have all the resources I need. I don’t have everything together that I require to do things excellently.” God thought about this too and revealed His plan for provision for you to execute in another prayer of the Spirit in Hebrews 13:21 where the TPT says “…may He work perfection into every part of you giving you all that you need to fulfill your destiny.”  Oh, how amazing God is.  So maybe it may not start excellently. You may not have everything you need at the beginning but it has to end up excellent! The will of God for you is that it is done excellently. You are the an excellent child of an excellent God, you do no evil there, hallelujah! You don’t just do a shanty job. You do things excellently.

ἄμεμπτος  amemptos  flawless  –  blameless, without fault, unblemished, faultless, irreproachable

So when people look at and observe the work that you’ve done, the things that you produce, it is admirable. They look at it and say, “Wow, look at that!” Heyaaa! This is the will of God for you in Christ. Imagine this is how your mind is set. Imagine this is how you think every single day. “Everything that I get involved with, I do it excellently. I do it magnificently. It’s admirable. It is beautiful. Why? Because this is how the Word of God has framed my mind!”

Now make this your confession daily: “I do no evil. I only do excellent things. I do no evil. I only do beautiful things. I do no evil. I only do magnificent things!” Let this be your declaration as you step into every assignment, every project, every task. Excellence is not just a goal—it is who you are, it is the eternal will of God for your life!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You for revealing to me that excellence is Your will for my life.  I am an excellent child of an excellent God.  I do no evil—I only do that which is excellent, admirable, beautiful, and magnificent. I reject mediocrity and I embrace the standard of excellence that You have set for me as Your child. From this day forward, everything I put my hand to shall reflect the quality and excellence of heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

I do no evil! I only do that which is excellent, admirable, beautiful, and magnificent. Everything I lay my hands upon to do is excellent in the name of Jesus Christ.  Excellence is the standard of my life. Mediocrity has no place in my world—I produce excellent results in my job, in my business, in my projects, and in every area of my life. This is who I am: a producer of excellence, in the name of the Lord Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Principles Of Divine Impartation

Study The Word

Romans 1:11-12 (KJV)
“For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and of me.”

The Word of God unveils to us one of the most profound spiritual principles of God—the principle of impartation.  The Apostle Paul says, I have a burning desire placed in my heart by God Himself to go and deposit something supernatural into you that are in Rome. He says, “that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift.” He didn’t say he wanted to come and just preach to them and just encourage them with nice words. He said he wanted to impart! To deposit! To give over something spiritual into them!

μεταδίδωμι metadidōmi impart – to give over, to deposit, to share, to give, to transfer

“Metadidomi” means to give over, to deposit, to share, or to give. Think about this: when you deposit money into a bank account, that money is transferred from your possession into the account. It becomes part of that account’s balance. It’s no longer just with you; it’s now in that account, ready to be used, ready to work, ready to produce! That’s exactly what spiritual impartation does! The Holy Spirit wants to deposit, to give over abilities, to transfer the workings and expressions of spiritual abilities to be permanently operative in your life! These aren’t just nice feelings or emotional experiences—these are actual spiritual capacities that become your normal daily operations of your spiritual makeup! So this impartation is to ensure that the expression of the abilities of the Holy Spirit can permanently reside within you.

Paul says the purpose of this impartation is that “to the end ye may be established.” You see, God doesn’t want you to be a weak, unstable Christian, tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine, shaken by every challenge that comes your way. He wants us established! He wants us grounded! He wants us solid and unmovable! And how does that happen? Through the impartation of pneumatikos charisma, the operations of spiritual abilities and graces, or what the English translations call “spiritual gifts”! Pneumatikos charisma’s are spiritual grace-abilities, or supernatural grace-abilities. These pneumatikos charisma’s that the Holy Spirit deposits into your life are the very things that establish you, that make you strong, that make you effective in the Kingdom of God!

This impartation is God’s will for your life! It’s not optional. It’s not just for “super Christians” or those who have been in the faith for decades. No! God wants every one of His children to receive impartations of pneumatikos charisma’s. How do I know this? Because Paul, writing by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, expressed this longing, and it was from the Holy Spirit working through Paul! The Holy Spirit Himself is the one that has this desire to impart, to deposit, to give over supernatural grace-abilities to you!

πνευματικός pneumatikos spiritual – supernatural, non-carnal, pertaining to the spirit, divinely bestowed

Now the word “spiritual” here is “pneumatikos” in the Greek, and means supernatural or non-carnal, spiritual. These gifts – abilities that God wants to impart to you are not natural abilities. You can’t learn them in a university. You can’t acquire them through human effort or training. They are supernatural! They are from the Spirit of God! They are pneumatikos—pertaining to the Spirit, divinely bestowed upon you by the Holy Spirit Himself!

Think about this, God is not trying to make you a better natural person. He wants to activate His supernatural abilities into your life! Abilities that operate in a dimension beyond the natural! Abilities that function by the power of the Holy Spirit!

Now, notice what Paul says next. He says, “That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and of me.” You see, when you receive impartation, when you begin to operate in these divine abilities, it doesn’t just benefit you—it benefits the entire body of Christ! There’s a mutual strengthening that happens. There’s a mutual comfort. There’s a mutual edification. Your faith strengthens others, and their faith strengthens you! This is the beauty of the body of Christ functioning as God intended!

But here’s what I want you to understand today: you must position yourself to receive this kind of divine impartation. The believers at Rome couldn’t receive what Paul wanted to deposit if they weren’t willing to receive it. They had to be open. They had to be expectant. They had to position their hearts to receive what the Spirit of God wanted to give them through Paul. Now, your heart posture has to be the same if this is going to work.

χάρισμα charisma gift – divine gratuity, ability of grace, spiritual endowment, gracious bestowment

The word for “gift” here in this verse is “charisma,” which means a divine gratuity or an ability of grace. It’s something freely given, not earned. You don’t deserve it. You can’t work for it. You can’t buy it. It’s a gracious bestowment from God! But you must position yourself to receive it! You must have a heart that is open and expectant. You must have faith to receive what God wants to deposit into your life!

So how do you position yourself? Through prayer; prayers of the Spirit! Through the study of the Word!  Through worship! As you engage in these spiritual disciplines, your heart opens up. Your spirit becomes receptive. You become positioned to receive fresh impartations from the Holy Spirit!

The Easy English version of this passage puts it beautifully: “I want very much to visit you so that I can give some gift from God’s Spirit to you. That will help you to believe Christ more strongly.” You see, the purpose of these spiritual abilities is to help you believe Christ more strongly! To establish you! To strengthen you! To make you more effective in your walk with God and in your service in His Kingdom!

So we have now established and understood that this is God’s will for your life! He wants to receive impartations of divine abilities from the Spirit of God! He wants to deposit and activate them in you, and have them permanently active! And these supernatural abilities, spiritual capacities will establish you and make you effective in these last days! Make up your mind that you will never miss out on everything God has for you. So position your heart today. Open yourself up to receive and be expectant! And as you pray this prayer of the Spirit for impartation, receive in faith and step out boldly exercising the spiritual abilities that you have received through this prayer of the Spirit.

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You that it is Your will for me to receive deposits of spiritual abilities from Your Holy Spirit. I position my heart today to receive. I am expectant for fresh impartations, for new deposits of spiritual abilities that will establish me and make me effective in Your Kingdom in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

I am positioned to receive impartations of spiritual gifts from the Holy Spirit! My heart is open, my spirit is receptive, and I receive fresh deposits of supernatural abilities today! As I study the Word, as I pray, as I worship, spiritual gifts are being imparted to me, establishing me and strengthening me in my walk with God. I am established by the pneumatikos charisma, the supernatural abilities of the Spirit that have been deposited into my life, in the name of Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Living Showcases Of God’s Fullness

Study The Word

Ephesians 3:19
“And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.”

We’ve come to the pinnacle, the crescendo, the ultimate purpose of the prayer of the Spirit in Ephesians chapter 3. Everything Paul has been praying for—the strengthening with power, the dwelling of Christ in your heart, the being rooted and grounded in love, the comprehending of the dimensions of Christ’s love—all of it leads to this magnificent conclusion: “that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God!” Glory to God!

πληρόω pleroo filled – to make full, to fill up, to fill to the brim, to supply liberally, to abound, to be filled to overflowing

The word “filled” is the Greek pleroo, which means to make full, to fill up, to fill to the brim, to supply liberally, to abound, to be filled to overflowing! This is not a partial filling. This is not a measure of God’s presence. This is being filled to overflowing—completely saturated, totally inundated, absolutely permeated with the very essence of God! Hahaa!

And notice what you’re being filled with: “all the fulness of God.” Not some of God’s fulness. Not a portion of His attributes. ALL the fulness of God! The Remedy translation captures this beautifully: “that you may become living showcases of God’s loving character.” Oh my goodness! Did you catch that?

πλήρωμα pleroma fulness – completeness, full measure, totality, that which fills up, abundance, the sum total

Pleroma is the full measure of all the qualities of God’s character that He Himself has! And God’s will is for you to be filled with this pleroma—with this totality of His divine nature! Glory to God!

The T4T translation says: “I pray that God will enable you to be filled with, and that means have full measure of, all the qualities of his character that he himself has.”  God’s desire is for you to have the full measure of His own qualities! His love, His joy, His peace, His patience, His kindness, His goodness, His faithfulness, His gentleness, His self-control—all of it, in full measure, flowing through your life!

Being born again, this is possible! This is the inheritance of every believer who prays the prayers of the Spirit and positions themselves to receive from God! Hallelujah!

Now here’s what struck me so powerfully in this teaching: you are called to be a living showcase of God’s loving character! The Remedy translation says it so clearly: “that you may become living showcases of God’s loving character.” You are not just to receive God’s love privately and keep it to yourself. You are to become a demonstration, an exhibition, a living display of who God is to everyone around you!

ἐπίδειξις epideixis showcase – demonstration, display, exhibit, manifestation, proof

A showcase is a demonstration, a display, an exhibit! God wants you to be the living proof of His love! When people encounter you, they should encounter His love. When they observe your life, they should see His character. When they experience your presence, they should experience His nature! This is incredible!

“I’m a living showcase of God’s loving character!” Say it about yourself: “I am a living showcase of God’s loving character!”  This is God’s calling! This is the hope of God’s calling for your life—for you to be a living showcase of God’s loving character!

And notice how this happens: it happens through being filled with the Holy Spirit, through the love of God being shed abroad in your heart by the Holy Spirit, through being strengthened with power in your inner man, through Christ dwelling in your heart by faith, through being rooted and grounded in love, through comprehending and seizing the dimensions of Christ’s love. All of these work together to bring you to the place where you overflow with God’s pleroma—His fulness!

This is why these prayers of the Spirit are so essential! When you pray according to God’s will, He hears you. And when He hears you, you receive what you’ve asked for. These prayers are not going round and round hoping to hit the target. No! They hit it directly, perfectly, with precision and accuracy! And you begin to experience the results during the very prayer sessions! Glory to God!

ἔνοικέω enoikeo dwell – to inhabit, to live in, to make one’s home in, to be at home, to settle in

Lets take it further to when Christ dwells—enoikeo—in your heartHe and He makes His home there. He settles in. He’s not a visitor; He’s a permanent resident! And as He dwells in you, His character begins to permeate every aspect of your life. His thoughts become your thoughts. His ways become your ways. His love flows through you to everyone you encounter.

And like the Remedy translation says that through this prayer, you will be “fully transformed into Christlikeness.” That’s what being a living showcase means—you look like Jesus! You act like Jesus! You love like Jesus! The world looks at you and sees the Father, just as when they looked at Jesus, they saw the Father!

And here’s the thing: this pleroma, this fulness, is not static. It’s dynamic. It’s active. It’s ever-increasing. The more you pray these prayers of the Spirit, the more you are filled. The more you’re filled, the more you overflow. The more you overflow, the more impact you have on the world around you!

His power takes over every aspect of your life! In the name of Jesus Christ, His supernatural power, His miracle-working power is at work in you! Every day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, His power is working in you, His power is working through you! His manifested power is revealed through you! He reveals Christ through you through His miracle-working power in these last days!

And this is what positions you for the Rapture! These are the prayers that align you with God’s perfect will! So that when the trumpet sounds, you are walking in the steps of God’s will for your life! You are filled with all His fulness! You are a living showcase of His character! You are ready to meet Him because you have become like Him!

May this be the reality in your life from today. May you be filled—pleroo—to overflowing! May you carry the pleroma—the full measure—of God’s character! May you become a living showcase of His love to everyone around you! This is the will of God! This is the prayer of the Spirit! And as you pray it, as you declare it, as you believe it—it will surely come to pass!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You that it is Your will for me to be filled with all Your fulness—the pleroma, the full measure of Your character and Your love. I receive this filling today by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank You, Father, that I am becoming a living showcase of Your loving character, demonstrating Your nature to everyone around me. Fill me to overflowing so that Christ is seen through me in everything I do, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

I am filled with all the fulness of God! The pleroma—the full measure—of God’s character is at work in my life! I am a living showcase of God’s loving character, demonstrating His nature to the world around me! I am not a spectator; I am a demonstration! Christ dwells in me and reveals Himself through me! I am filled to overflowing with the very essence of who God is, in the name of Jesus Christ!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Seize the Dimensions of God’s Love

Study The Word

Ephesians 3:17-18
“That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height.”

Today we moving right along with the prayer of the Spirit from Ephesians chapter 3, and this portion is absolutely extraordinary! The Apostle Paul by the Spirit prays that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith. Now, the moment you were born again, Christ came to live in you. But Paul is praying for something deeper here—he’s praying that Christ would be so at home in your heart, so settled in your inner being, that His presence becomes the foundation of everything you are and everything you do. And the purpose? So that you would be rooted and grounded in love!

ῥιζόω rhizoo rooted – to cause to take root, to plant firmly, to establish, to make stable, to fix deeply

The word “rooted” is the Greek rhizoo, which means to cause to take root, to plant firmly, to establish, to make stable, to fix deeply. Think about the roots of a great tree—they go deep into the earth, drawing nutrients, providing stability, making the tree immovable even in the strongest storms. That’s what God wants for you! He wants you so deeply rooted in His love that nothing can uproot you! Hallelujah!

θεμελιόω themelioō grounded – to lay a foundation, to establish firmly, to make stable, to strengthen

And “grounded” is themelioō—to lay a foundation, to establish firmly, to make stable, to strengthen. This is architectural language! God is saying that His love is to be the very foundation upon which your entire life is built! Just as a building must have a solid foundation to stand, your life must be established on the bedrock of God’s love. When you understand how much He loves you, when you experience the depths of His affection for you, you become unshakeable! Glory to God!

Now here’s where it gets even more powerful. The Word says the purpose of being rooted and grounded in love is so that “you may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height.” You get it? There’s a supernatural comprehension that God wants you to have—a divine understanding of the multi-dimensional nature of His love!

καταλαμβάνω katalambano comprehend – to seize, to take hold of, to grasp, to lay hold of, to apprehend, to possess, to make one’s own

And the he says that you may katalambano, which is to take hold of, to grasp, to lay hold of, to apprehend, to possess, to make one’s own!  God doesn’t just want you to have an intellectual awareness of His love. He wants you to seize it! He wants you to take hold of it! He wants you to possess it and make it your own!

This is much more than head knowledge. This is experiential, possessive, all-consuming knowledge of the love of Christ! The T4T translation says, “you along with all believers may be able to know how much Christ loves us.” And the Remedy translation says your minds will be “enabled together with all the saints to grasp how immense and wide and long and deep and high is the love of Christ.”

Think about this: God’s love has dimensions! It has breadth—it’s wide enough to embrace every person, every situation, every circumstance in your life. It has length—it stretches from eternity past to eternity future, never running out, never diminishing. It has depth—it reaches down to the lowest places you’ve ever been, to the darkest moments you’ve ever faced, lifting you up. And it has height—it elevates you to the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, far above all principality and power! Hallelujah!

And notice it says “with all saints.” This is not a private revelation for just a few special believers. This is for every child of God! God wants all of His children to katalambano—to seize and possess this supernatural knowledge of His love! How long are you going to just live on the testimonies of other people’s experiences of God’s love? How long are you going to be content with hearing about it rather than personally experiencing it? The bible says you may be able to comprehend WITH ALL THE SAINTS! That includes you!

Remember what Romans 5:5 says: “The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” The Holy Spirit Himself pours out this love into your heart!  Furthermore, He is the One who also enables you to katalambano—to seize and possess this divine knowledge in experience!
And this is why it’s a must for every child of God to pray this prayer of the Spirit consistently, contending for our own personal experience of the love of God!

γνῶσις gnosis knowledge – knowing, understanding, intelligence, comprehension, acquaintance

Now verse 19 goes on to say that this love “surpasses knowledge.” And knowledge here is gnosis—knowing, understanding, intelligence, comprehension of natural things; or scientific knowledge. The word of God is saying that the love of Christ goes beyond what your natural intellect can grasp! It surpasses intellectual knowledge! The Remedy translation puts it beautifully: “to know in every fiber of your beings this love that surpasses intellectual knowledge.”

So this is not referring to studying the love of God in a textbook. This is about experiencing it in every fiber of your being! It’s about having such a deep, personal, intimate encounter with the love of Christ that your entire being—spirit, soul, and body—is saturated with the reality of how much He loves you! Hey!!

When you truly katalambano—when you truly seize and possess the knowledge of His love—you are changed from the inside out! You begin to think differently, speak differently, act differently. You become more like Christ Himself, who is the embodiment of God’s love!

I want you to understand something: being transported into that knowledge, being immersed into that supernatural knowledge, into that divine knowledge of the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge—this is your inheritance as a child of God! Father, I pray right now for every person reading this: transport them into that knowledge! Immerse them into that divine understanding! Let them experience the reality of Your love in a way they never have before in the  name of Jesus Christ!

May the power of the Holy Spirit overshadow you! His miraculous power will grant you the grace to be able to seize and possess the knowledge of the love of Christ! From today, from this moment, wherever you are, you will begin to experience the multi-dimensional love of God—its width, its length, its depth, its height in the name of Jesus Christ! Glory to God!

This is what begins to be the practical, experiential reality for every Christian who prays this prayers of the Spirit! And when you experience this love, when you katalambano this love, when you seize and possess this love—everything changes! Fear is displaced. Insecurity is removed. Anxiety is driven out. Because perfect love casts out fear!

You are loved with an everlasting love! You are loved with a love that will never fail, never diminish, never run out! And God wants you to know this—not just in your head, but in every fiber of your being! That’s why He gave us this prayer of the Spirit!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, thank You for rooting and grounding me in Your love. I pray that You would enable me by Your Spirit to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and depth and height of the love of Christ. Grant me the grace to katalambano—to seize, to possess, to make my own—the supernatural knowledge of Your love which surpasses all intellectual understanding. Thank You, Father, that I am being immersed and transported into this divine revelation of Your love today, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

I am rooted and grounded in the love of God! My foundation is secure and unshakeable! I katalambano—I seize and possess the knowledge of the love of Christ! I experience in every fiber of my being the breadth, the length, the depth, and the height of His love for me. This love surpasses intellectual knowledge and transforms my entire life! I am loved with an everlasting love, and nothing can separate me from it, in the name of Jesus Christ!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Strengthened with Dunamis Power

Study The Word

Ephesians 3:16
“That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man.”

The Apostle Paul, gives us one of the most powerful prayers ever recorded in Scripture.  He says, “that God the Father would grant you according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man”—this is a divine bestowal, a supernatural impartation from God Himself being carried out by the Spirit of God that is in you.  And then he says: “according to the riches of his glory.”  So this is not going to be according to the physical strength or weakness you can or usually experience in your flesh. No! The supply of this power is according to the riches of His glory! That means that His granting of this power is proportional to the extent of His own glorious supply of power.

δύναμις dunamis might – inherent power, miraculous power, mighty divine force, supernatural ability, explosive power

The word translated “might” here is the Greek word dunamis, which is inherent supernatural power—power that comes from the Holy Spirit, power that is miraculous in nature, a mighty divine force, supernatural ability, explosive power! This is the same power that raised Christ from the dead! This is the same power that was at work when the Holy Spirit moved upon the face of the waters at creation! And God says it is His will for you to be strengthened—to be invigorated, to be supernaturally empowered—with this very power! What a prayer.

Think about this: Are you strengthened with God’s supernatural power? Are you strengthened with God’s miraculous power? This inherent power, this mighty divine force that is given to the children of God by God’s Spirit—is God’s will for your life! If you want to walk in the experience of the power of the Christian life then this is prayer of the Spirit is not optional. And it is not for some elite group of super-Christian-ministers. It’s for all of God’s children.

κρατῶ krataioo strengthened – to be made strong, to be invigorated, to increase in strength, to be empowered, to grow mighty

And then the word “strengthened” is the Greek krataioo, which means to be made strong, to be invigorated, to increase in strength, to be empowered, to grow mighty! So this helps us to understand that this divine strength can increase and grow. And God wants you to be so empowered and strengthened with his might so that you are settled—and made strong and firm in His Word to the point where you cannot be shaken! The Remedy translation puts it this way: “I pray that out of the glorious riches that emanate from his being, and through the working of his spirit in your minds, you’ll be fully transformed into Christlikeness, and so settled into God’s methods and principles that you cannot be shaken.”

God will for you is never to be weak, and struggling, tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine, by every circumstance, by every trial that comes your way. No! He wants you strengthened, envigorated with His spiritual power in your human spirit to the point where you are settled and can never be shaken! He wants you so grounded in His power that nothing—absolutely nothing—can shake you!

ἔσω eso inner – within, inward, the interior, the inside

And notice where this strengthening takes place: “in the inner man.” The Greek word eso means within, inward, the interior, the inside. This is not about physical strength. So it’s not about external circumstances changing but rather about the capacity of your spirit, your inner being, your heart being so filled with God’s miraculous power that it radiates outwardly onto your physical body and impacting things around you!

This is a part of what Jesus was referring to when He told His disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they would be “endued with power from on high.” This is God’s will! He wants you to be endued with power! And here’s the beautiful thing: when you pray this prayer—the prayer of the Spirit—you are praying in perfect alignment with God’s will. And what does the Bible say? “If we pray according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us, then we know that we have the petitions that we have desired of him.”

So every time you pray this prayer, you can have absolute confidence that God hears you and that you will receive what you are asking for. This prayer ignites a supernatural acceleration in your spiritual development.

I remember when the Holy Spirit began to reveal these things to me. I started to pray these prayers consistently, and my spiritual growth went into top-flight mode, into high-speed mode! Why? Because I was praying the prayer points of the Holy Spirit! And I still do so today—every day, every week, every year. My spiritual maturity, my spiritual development is constantly being accelerated because I pray these prayers of the Spirit.

Let me tell you something: this prayer program, this series of prayers of the Holy Spirit, is like no other prayer program you’ve probably been a part of. And that’s is because of the precision, the accuracy of the Spirit, of how we actually engage and enter into the realms of the Spirit using the light of God’s Word and laying hold of God’s purposes and plans—His perfect purposes and plans for our lives, for our spiritual development—with accuracy and precision! We’re not going round and round and hoping that we will hit it. No! We’re hitting it directly, perfectly! And the result of it is, you will even begin to experience the impact of this power during the prayer, immediately. You begin to be transported by the power of the Word of God into His perfect will of manifested power in your inner man.

Hey! You will begin to see the glory and the power of God work in and through you! The purposes and plans of God will now start to be revealed in and through you like it has never happened with you before! Hallelujah!

The question is: how long are you going to live on the testimonies of the manifestation and the displays of the glory and power of God in other people’s lives? How long are you going to be a spectator when this is for you? This prayer of the Spirit says that this is Gods will, “with all the saints”—so that includes you! God wants you to experience His miraculous power for yourself!

πνεῦμα pneuma Spirit – the Holy Spirit, the divine breath, the supernatural agent of God’s power

The Spirit—pneuma in Greek—is the supernatural agent of God’s power in your life. He is the One who strengthens you. He is the One who empowers you. He is the One who fills you with this inherent, miraculous, explosive power! And when His power comes upon you, you will feel it! You will experience the manifested power of the Holy Spirit vibrating even in your very body! As you embark on this prayer of the Spirit, may this be an occurrence in your life from today! May the manifested power of the Holy Spirit come and vibrate in and through you like currents through your body as you pray.

From today, many of you will be transported into the manifestation of the infilling of the power of God by the Spirit of God! This is the will of God for your life! He wants each and every single one of His children to have that experience! And if you haven’t experienced it yet, keep praying. Come back to this prayer again and again. Make those declarations. Contend for your own personal experience of the manifestation of the power of God in and through you!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You for granting me, according to the riches of Your glory, to be strengthened with Your mighty, miraculous, explosive power by Your Spirit in my inner man. I receive this supernatural empowerment today and I declare that I am invigorated, I am settled into Your methods and principles, and I cannot be shaken. Thank You, Father, that Your dunamis power is at work in me right now, transforming me into Christlikeness and propelling me into the accelerated fulfillment of Your perfect will for my life, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

I am strengthened with God’s miraculous, explosive power in my inner man! The Spirit of God has empowered me with inherent, supernatural ability that cannot be shaken! I am settled into God’s methods and principles by the power of the Holy Spirit. I am not a spectator—I personally experience the manifested power of God in my life! His dunamis power is at work in me 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in the name of Jesus Christ!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Spiritual Intelligence for Knowing God

Study The Word

Ephesians 1:17-19 (KJV)
“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.”

Today we look at an important aspect of the will of God for you as a child of God: to have spiritual wisdom, knowledge, and understanding! This is paramount in order for you to experience to fulness of the Christian life. Remember, this that the word is revealing to us is not natural wisdom, knowledge and understanding. This is spiritual wisdom! Spiritual intelligence! Spiritual understanding that God gives! Glory to God! And it is very different from the wisdom, knowledge and understanding of men. This is God’s wisdom that is given by the Spirit of God; and because it’s God’s desire for you, it is revealed to us in this beautiful prayer of the Spirit in our opening verse.

The apostle Paul, by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, wrote this prayer for the church at Ephesus, and it is for you today! He says, “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.” Did you catch that? He’s not praying for you to have more money. He’s not praying for you to have a bigger house. He’s praying for something far more valuable: the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God!

σοφία  sophia  wisdom – divine insight into the reality of spiritual and physical things; application of spiritual intelligence and spiritual knowledge concerning spiritual and physical things

The Greek word here is sophia, means divine insight into the reality of spiritual and physical things! When you have the spirit of sophia, you have the ability to know things as God knows them! You will have spiritual intelligence and spiritual knowledge concerning spiritual and physical things. Think about that! It’s knowing the things that God wants you to know just as He knows them! This is what sophia does for you! It gives you access to the mind of God! It allows you to see things from God’s perspective! It enables you to understand things the way God understands them!

And then he says “revelation.” The Greek word here is apokalupsis, which means unveiling, appearing, disclosure, revealing or uncovering! It’s the revealing of something that was previously hidden, covered or unseen! When you have the spirit of revelation, hidden things become visible to you! Things that were mysteries are uncovered! Things that were obscure become clear! The plans and purposes of God for your life are unveiled before your eyes, and you become fully knowledgeable!

ἀποκάλυψις apokalupsis revelation – unveiling, disclosure, uncovering, manifestation, appearance, a laying bare

The Message translation puts it beautifully, it says: “I ask the God of our Master Jesus Christ, the God of Glory, to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally.” You see that? God wants to make you spiritually intelligent! He wants discernment to be atwork in you! He wants you to know Him personally and accurately, not just know about Him or of Him! There’s a difference between knowing about someone and knowing them personally! God wants you to have personal, accurate, intimate knowledge of Him!

And then the apostle Paul continues and says: “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened.” The word “enlightened” here means flooded with light, illuminated! Your spiritual eyes are to be flooded with the revelatory light of God! You’re not supposed to walk in darkness, trying to figure out what God wants for your life! No! Your eyes are supposed to be focused and clear so that you can know and see exactly what He is calling you to do!

φωτίζω phōtizō enlightened – to give light, illuminate, bring to light, make visible, flood with light

Remember, this is a prayer point. This is a prayer of the Holy Spirit for your spiritual development according to the will of God. This is not something you can achieve through natural education. This is not something you can get from a university. This is spiritual! It requires the spirit of wisdom! It requires the spirit of revelation given by the Holy Spirit! And God wants to give it to you! He wants you to have it,and have operative. That’s why it’s written and revealed as a prayer of the Spirit! So you personalize the prayer, pray it , and God gives it to you!

Now look at what happens when you have this spirit of wisdom and revelation, it says: “That ye may know what is the hope of his calling.” Do you fully understand what is the hope of God’s calling for your life? That’s the will of God! He wants you to know it! He wants you to have it! But in order for you to know it in that way, you need the spirit of wisdom! You need spiritual intelligence! And this prayer of the Spirit has it ready for you to activate it.

And then it says, “and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.” That means God wants you to grasp the immensity of His glorious life that He has for you in Christ Jesus! He wants you to understand the riches, the wealth, the abundance of what He has made available to you as His child! This is where you’ll receive a wealth and riches mindset, that destroys poverty thinking and mentality after you begin to operate in this realm of spiritual wisdom, intelligence and knowledge. This is a revelation of the riches and the wealth of His inheritance! Glory to God! No more poor thoughts and poor thinking, just quality thoughts, wealthy ideas from His excellent wisdom, knowledge and intelligence. What a blessing.

And then comes the part that absolutely blows my mind: “And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.” The Message translation says, “Oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him – endless energy, boundless, fathomless strength!” Hahaa! Endless energy! Boundless strength! This is miracle-working power! This is the will of God for your life!

God wants you to be acquainted with His endless energy! He wants you to experience His boundless power! He wants you to know, intimately and personally, the exceeding greatness of His power that is at work in you! And this is not just any power. The scripture tells us it’s “according to the working of his mighty power, which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places.”

That’s the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead, the same power that set Him at the right hand of God in heavenly places, far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named – that same power is available to you! That same power is at work in you! But you need the spirit of wisdom and revelation to know and understand it! You need your spiritual eyes to be enlightened to see how it works! You need spiritual intelligence to grasp it’s operation!

The Message translation says, “All this energy issues from Christ. God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule.” Jesus Christ is in charge of it all! He has the final word on everything! And this same Jesus Christ has made His resurrection power available to you!

So today, child of God, I want you to pray this prayer of the spirit over your life. Pray for the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God. Pray for your spiritual eyes to be enlightened, flooded with light, illuminated. Pray to know the hope of His calling for your life. Pray to understand the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints. Pray to experience the exceeding greatness of His power that is at work in you. This is the will of God for you! This is what the Holy Spirit wants for your life! Pray and receive it from today!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, God of our Lord Jesus Christ, Father of Glory, I thank You for the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Thank You for enlightening the eyes of my understanding and flooding them with Your revelatory light. I receive spiritual intelligence today to know You personally, to understand the hope of Your calling for my life, and to grasp the exceeding greatness of Your resurrection power that is at work in me, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

The spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God is at work in me! The eyes of my understanding are flooded with the revelatory light and knowledge of God! I have spiritual intelligence to know God personally and to see exactly what He is calling me to do! I know the hope of His calling and the glorious inheritance that He has given to His saints! The exceeding greatness of God’s resurrection power is at work in me, according to the same degree that God worked it in Jesus Christ when He raised Him from the dead and set Him at His right hand, far above all principality, power, might, and dominion, in the name of Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit – You Can Never Outgrow God’s Purposes

Study The Word

Ephesians 1:21 (KJV)
“Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.”

You see, when you look at this scripture, you notice something powerful: the plans and purposes of God, the will of God for your life, are not only for this world but also for the world which is to come! The will of God for you is eternal! The plans and purposes of God for you are eternal!

Now, why is this important? Because some of you have been thinking, “Well, I’ve been a Christian for 30 years now. What do I have to do with these prayers of the Spirit? This must be for new believers. I have come all these many years with God and never needed these things.” No! Listen to me carefully: even if you’ve been a Christian for 30 years and never knew or heard of this, the plans and purposes of God for every child of God are eternal! So as long as the eternal Word of God has revealed His will for you in this case in the form of these prayers of the Spirit; then that means that everyone is liable to endorse and begin the process of effecting that revealed will of God for your life; no matter how long one has been a Christian for.

Even if you’ve been a Christian for 50 years, 10 years, 100 years and you’ve never known about these prayers of the Holy Spirit, and you’ve never gone through a discipline or a program where you pray them over your life, then it’s even more so for you! And you know what?  It’s not going away! It’s for the life that now is and for that which is to come.

αἰώνιος aiōnios eternal – everlasting, without beginning or end, perpetual, forever

So, this spiritual development, these prayers, this will of God for you that is contained in the prayers of the Spirit is an eternal will.  You need to understand this: it’s an eternal will! The Greek word is aiōnios, means eternal, perpetual, without end, originating and existing in eternity – outside of time! So it does not matter your age. It does not matter how old you are regarding spiritual things. The plans and purposes of God for your life and your spiritual development are eternal! You can never outgrow this! You can never outgrow the will of God! You can never outgrow the purposes and plans of God for your life because they are eternal for you!

Think about this: from wherever you are, no matter how long you’ve been a Christian, no matter how long you’ve been a pastor, no matter how long you’ve been a prophet, no matter how long you’ve been an apostle, no matter how long you’ve been an evangelist, no matter how long you’ve been a teacher, if you’ve never gone through this, these are eternal purposes and plans for you; you are going to have to do so some day.

Another thing to understand when we say that these plans and purposes are eternal, and also considering what we discovered about the scriptures being given by “inspiration of God” also means that the prayers of the Spirit originate from eternity where God dwells, because they came directly from Him glory to God!

τέλειος teleios perfect – complete, mature, fully developed, reaching the intended goal

Now, Romans 12:2 tells us that our minds must be renewed so that we may prove what is that good and perfect will of God. The prayers of the Spirit because they completely contain the will of God means that they are the perfect and complete prayers of the Spirit of God concerning you. Think about that! Wow!
The word “perfect” here is teleios in Greek, meaning complete, fully developed, reaching the intended goal! God wants you to walk in the perfect, complete, fully developed will that He has for your life! So by means of the prayers of the Spirit you will be made fully complete, you will be fully developed and made perfect; thoroughly furnished unto good works!

You see, some people may say, “Hey, I’m a pastor now. What do I need with this?” Hold on! You are a child of God first! Hallelujah! And your spiritual development as a child of God comes first! Your position does not exempt you from the need for spiritual development according to the eternal will of God! In fact, because you’re leading God’s people, you need this even more! You need to know the perfect will of God for your own life first and begin to enforce it through the prayers of the Spirit so that you can lead others into the same!

βούλημα boulēma will – purpose, counsel, deliberate intention, desire, decree

2 Timothy 3:16-17 says that all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect. You see that? The purpose is that the man of God may be perfect, may be complete, may reach the intended goal! And this perfection, this completion, this reaching of God’s intended goal for your life, it’s an eternal pursuit! It never ends! The more you grow, the more there is to grow into! The deeper you go, the deeper there is to explore!

So don’t let anyone, including yourself, put a limitation on your pursuit of God’s will based on how long you’ve been saved! Don’t say, “Ah, you know, I’ve been a Christian for 30 years now. What have I to do with this?” No! This is for you! These are eternal purposes and plans! The will of God does not expire! The prayers of the spirit do not have an expiration date! They are as relevant for you today as they were the day you got saved, and they will remain relevant throughout eternity!

I want you to understand that God’s vision for your life is bigger than any single season. It’s bigger than any single decade. It’s bigger than your entire earthly existence! The plans and purposes that God has for you extend into eternity! When you pray the prayers of the spirit over your life, you’re not just praying for temporal blessings or earthly achievements. You’re praying for eternal development! You’re praying for the full manifestation of everything that God has designed you to become, both in this world and in the world which is to come!

This is why the apostle Paul, by inspiration of the Holy Spirit, included this phrase: “not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.” He wanted us to understand the eternal scope of God’s purposes for us! He wanted us to know that we can never finish with God! We can never say, “I’ve arrived. I don’t need to grow anymore.” No! There’s always more! There’s always deeper! There’s always higher! Glory to God!

So today, be liberated from the limitation of thinking that spiritual development is only for new believers or for a particular season of life.

It doesn’t matter where you’ve been or what you’ve missed. When the information of God’s revealed written will comes to you, receive it! Better late than never! The will of God is eternal, and you can step into it at any moment! You can begin to pray these prayers of the Spirit over your life right now, and your life will begin to journey into God’s direction! Things will start to make sense! Revelations, thoughts, ideas, the mind of God, things will become clearer and clearer! You will begin to understand the hope of His calling! Glory to God!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You that Your will for my life is eternal, extending not only to this world but also to that which is to come. I refuse to limit myself or disqualify myself from Your purposes based on how long I’ve been a Christian. I receive Your eternal plans for my spiritual development today, knowing that I can never outgrow Your will and that there is always more of You to discover. I commit to pursuing Your perfect will for my life with renewed vigor, regardless of where I am in my journey, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

The plans and purposes of God for my life are eternal! I can never outgrow the will of God! No matter how long I’ve been a Christian, the prayers of the spirit are relevant for my life today! I am stepping into the eternal will of God right now, and my spiritual development is accelerating! I refuse to put limitations on what God wants to do in my life. His purposes for me extend into eternity, and I embrace them fully. I walk in the perfect will of God, not only in this world but also in that which is to come, in the name of Jesus Christ!

Prayers of the Spirit – Divine Prayer Points for Spiritual Development

Study The Word

Ephesians 1:16-17 (KJV)
“Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.”

During this month I will be sharing with you something that the Holy Spirit revealed to me many, many years ago as I was studying the Word and pursuing growth in the knowledge of the things of God. In my pursuit the Spirit of God directed me towards what we came to know as the prayers of the Spirit, referring to being the prayers of the Holy Spirit.  And this revelation has been critical, absolutely critical, for my spiritual development ever since.  Critical means that this is foundational knowledge that every child of God must have if they want to walk in the perfect will of God for their life!

Now, when we talk about the prayers of the Spirit, what does it actually mean? Let me explain. The prayers of the Spirit specifically refer to the prayer points that were inspired by the Holy Spirit and were written for us as part of the Epistles that were given to the church(‘s) by the apostles by inspiration of God.  As you study the epistles carefully you’d discover them.  These are the prayers of the Holy Spirit, meaning that these are the prayers that the Holy Spirit, through the apostles, wrote for us in the epistles. These are prayer points that the Holy Spirit, through the apostles, wrote for us being inspired, which also reveal God’s perfect will for every member of the body of Christ!

θεόπνευστος theopneustos God-breathed – inspired by God, divinely inspired, God Spirited

Hence, we refer to them as the prayers of the spirit, which is short for the prayers of the Holy Spirit. In other words, these are the intercessory prayers of the Holy Spirit for the body of Christ through the apostles, revealing and expressing God’s perfect will for us. How amazing is that? Hahaa! Oh goodness! The Holy Spirit Himself has given us prayer points! He has given us a blueprint for prayer! He has told us exactly what to pray for our spiritual development!

ἔντευξις enteuxis intercession – prayer, petition, supplication, a meeting with, conference

Now Romans 8:27 says, “And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.” You see, the Holy Spirit makes intercession for us according to the will of God. When you pray these prayers of the spirit, you are praying the will of God. You are praying what God wants for you regarding your life.
“Enteuxis” – intercession means you are aligning yourself with the divine agenda that God has for you! It means you are aligning and uniting with God in communal conference to make real His Word regarding your life. Glory to God!

Let me take it a step further. Now, these prayers of the spirit that we have written for us by the apostles in scripture are the interpretations of the groanings which cannot be uttered offered up by the apostles for the church. Think about it like this: when the apostles were led by the Holy Spirit to pray for the church, they spoke in tongues, they declared, and they got to a point where they started to groan with groanings which cannot be uttered. This was the Spirit of God praying through the apostles according to the will of God! And then when they began to write these letters, hallelujah, they were given interpretations of the groanings! Ayy! You can connect that! You see, at a certain level in your spiritual growth in understanding you’ll be able to connect that!

στεναγμός stenagmos groanings – a groaning, a sigh, an unexpressed feeling of sorrow

So, these prayers reveal to us the perfect will of God for every one of His children. Amazing! Now by the knowledge of this, a child of God no longer has to be confused or wonder what God’s perfect will for their life is. When you get this knowledge, you no longer have to wonder what the will of God for your life is! That search comes to an end! You don’t have to wander in darkness anymore, saying, “Oh God, what is Your will for me? What do You want for my life?” No! The prayers of the spirit reveal it to you plainly!

And not only will a child of God have knowledge of God’s will for their life, but also they are given to us as prayers that one can pray this perfect will of God over their own life and begin to walk in absolute fulfillment as a Son of God! Hallelujah! You find out what the will of God is, and then you pray it into manifestation in your life! This is the divine system! This is how God designed it to work!

These prayers of the spirit are critical for the child of God’s spiritual development. You may have never heard of them. You may have never heard about them. But you’re hearing about them now! So now is the time for you to begin to engage in these prayers of the Holy Spirit. It’s never too late to start. Whatever it is that was never taught to you, that was never revealed to you, that you were never exposed to, whichever part of the body of Christ you have been a member of participating in, it doesn’t matter if they never taught you. It doesn’t matter if they never brought you through this. With the information coming to you now, receive it with gladness! Every time new knowledge from the Word of God comes to you as a child of God, you must be grateful! Glory to God! Hallelujah! Thank God that this information is coming! Better late than never! Hallelujah!

I myself have been praying these prayers over my life for years, and I also use them for my intercessions for the saints that the Lord asks me to pray for. And I still pray these prayers today! What a blessing! These prayers should be compulsory for every believer. If you’re leading God’s people, if God has put people in your trust, these are the prayers that you use to intercede for them for their spiritual development because you’ll be praying for them according to the will of God!

So today, child of God, I want you to understand this foundational truth: the prayers of the Spirit are your divine prayer manual for spiritual development. They are not optional extras. They are not suggestions. They are the inspired, God-breathed prayer points that the Holy Spirit has given to the church for our growth and development in the things of God. When you pray these prayers, you are praying the very mind of God. You are aligning yourself with the perfect will of God. And when you pray according to the will of God, you have the assurance that He hears you, and if He hears you, you know that you have the petitions that you desired of Him! Glory to God!

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the revelation knowledge and understanding of the prayers of the Spirit that You have given to the church through Your holy apostles. Thank You for showing me how these prayers are the very expression of Your perfect will for my life and for my spiritual development in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Speak The Word

As I pray the prayers of the Spirit which are in accordance with God’s will He hears me, and because I know that He hears me, I know that I have the petitions that I desire of Him, in the name of the Lord Jesus!

Prayers Of The Spirit: Benefits Of Prayers Of The Spirit

Study The Word
2 Timothy 3:16-17 says
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

In the month of January we’re going to be going through some devotional teaching on The Prayers Of The Spirit. Looking at our opening verse in light of the context of the prayers of the Spirit we find the opening expression which says “All scripture is given by inspiration of God“. Bearing in mind that the epistles where we find the prayers of the Spirit are scripture, meaning that these prayers of the Spirit were actually given by inspiration of God.  To give us a better understanding of this phrase – the Greek word here translated inspiration is theopneustos, which literally means God-breathed! So that means that these prayer points that the apostles wrote for us in scripture actually came from God. They originate from the Spirit of God. When you look at the word theopneustos, you’ll see that it’s a compound word from two words: theo – God and pnuestos – breath. And pnuestos is from the word pnuema which is spirit. Putting that altogether you get a better understanding of the phrase “inspiration of God”. It’s more and very different from the inspiration of an “inspired author or inspired literature”. What it is saying is that the scriptures originate from the Spirit God. They are Spirited by God. That is theopneustos.

θεόπνευστος theopneustos inspiration – God-breathed, divinely breathed, God spirited, divine spirited origin

It means that they were breathed out by God Himself!  Think about this: when the apostle Paul sat down to write to the church at Ephesus, to the church at Colossae, to the churches everywhere, and he wrote these prayers in the epistles, he was not writing from his own thoughts. No! He was writing being driven of the Holy Spirit beyond his usual capabilities to mentally put things together. And the prayers of the Spirit were also recorded being part of the epistles for the church.  So these prayers reveal to us the the very prayers of God for His children which are according to His will!

So, in our focus this month – the writings of the epistles that are “The prayers of the Spirit”, with this understanding in mind 2 Timothy 3:16 goes on further to say: “is profitable” – meaning they produce profit, they are gainful and beneficial. Amazing, so the next question would be, “profitable for what?”.  Firstly, profitable “for doctrine”, the Greek word translated doctrine means for teaching.  Now that means that the scriptures, and in our case study of the prayers of the Spirit are profitable for teaching. So the prayers of the Spirit have the ability of God in them to teach us and train us how to pray in accordance with God’s perfect will. Anyone who participates in praying the prayers of the Spirit is actually being taught and trained by the Spirit of God Himself how to pray according to God’s will, glory to God!

ὠφέλιμος ōphelimos profitable – produce profit, helpful, benefiacial, advantageous

Secondly, it says profitable “for reproof”, but the original Greek word translated reproof is elegchos which means “proof or evidence“.
So the prayers of the Spirit contained in scripture are profitable as proof and evidence. Evidence of the reality of God and the intent of God’s will and purpose for the child of God. They are also the evidence of God’s answer for the very prayer itself that’ll prove that God exists.  So within the prayer point of the Spirit is also the evidence and proof of God’s answer to the prayer. You get it? I pray that by the Holy Spirit you get it. It is very important to get that part. Simply put, it means God always answers the prayers of the Spirit when a child of God offers the prayer to God.  And that answer can also be located in that very Word of God that makes up the prayer. Incredible!

So if you’re one of those people who say “God never answers my prayers”, then the prayers of the Spirit are for you. If you’ve never received answered prayers from God then, God by His Spirit put these prayer points together for you that you can pray and receive your very own experience of answered prayer.

ἔλεγχος elegchos reproof – proof , evidence

Thirdly, it says “for correction“, the KJV translation here is spot on – correction.  That is, correction regarding praying in accordance with His will. Correction in getting you to pray the right way.  The prayers of the Spirit also bring correction into your prayer life as you begin to pray the perfect will of God over your life or the lives of others. You don’t have to worry whether you are praying amiss when you engage in praying the prayers of the Holy Spirit.

παιδεία  paideia  instruction –  education, tutorage, training

Fourthly, he says “for instruction” in righteousness. The Greek word translated instruction is paideia which literally means “education, tutorage and training”. That means engaging in the prayers of the Spirit will provide for you an education in the prayers of righteousness hallelujah! The prayers of the Spirit contain evidence of the reality of God and also give you a tutorage in the manifestation of the righteousness of God. Your spiritual prayer posture becomes aligned with righteousness, and your prayers will produce manifestations of the life of righteousness. If they are the prayers of the Spirit, they can only yield and produce in you the expressions and manifestations of the righteousness of God, and also produce the results that are the manifestations of the righteousness of God.

So, these are the benefits of praying the prayers of the Spirit; it activates the working and expression of the righteousness of God in and through you, and also the righteousness of God being enforced impacting people, things and the environment around you. Take advantage of the prayers of the Spirit and see how your life will be catapulted into manifestations of the word of God.

Pray The Word

Heavenly Father, I thank Your for the revelation of the prayers of the Spirit in my life. Thank you Father that as I engage in offering up these prayers that are in accordance with Your will, all your purposes and plans concerning them in and through me are fulfilled in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ

Speak The Word
The scriptures are profitable and beneficial for teaching and training me, and for providing proof and evidence of the reality of God and provide for me an education in righteousness.

Prayers Of The Spirit: What Are The Prayers Of The Spirit?

Study The Word
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

When we talk about Prayers Of The Spirit, “what does it actually mean?”, you say.  Now, prayers of the Spirit specifically refer to the prayer points that were inspired by the Holy Spirit and where written for us as a part of the epistles that were given to the church by the Apostles by inspiration of God. You’ll find these as prayers or prayer points that the Apostles wrote as prayers for the church, the body of Christ.
These prayers were not the desires of the Apostles as some people would think but actually prayers that were written by inspiration that the Apostles received from God.

θεόπνευστος theopneustos inspiration of God – God-breathed, divinely given, breathed out by God, given out by God

This informs us that the prayers that the Apostles wrote for us in scripture actually were from God hence we here at WhatTheWordSays refer to them as The Prayers of the Spirit which is short for The Prayers of the Holy Spirit. In other words these are the intercessory prayers of the Holy Spirit for the body of Christ through the Apostles revealing and expressing the manifestation of God’s perfect will for us.

Romans 8:27 says And He that searcheth the hearts knows what is the mind of the [Holy] Spirit, because He [the Holy Spirit] makes intercession for the saints according to the will [the Word] of God.

Therefore these Prayers of the Spirit that we have written for us by the apostles in scripture could be the interpretations of the groanings which can not be uttered of the Apostles for the church, at which point they in-turn wrote them to the churches. These prayers reveal to us the perfect will of God for every child of God.

By knowledge of this a child of God no longer has to be confused or wonder what God’s perfect will for their life is. That search comes to an end. And not only will the child of God have knowledge of God’s will for their life but also they are given to us as prayers that one can pray – this perfect will of God over our lives and begin to walk in absolute fulfilment as sons of God.

These prayers of the Spirit are critical for the child of God’s spiritual development. They reveal to us the will or the Word that God wants to be expressed and manifested in and through us in these last days.
These are the prayer points that prepare every child of God for the rapture, and the second appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ. I myself have been praying these over my life for years, and I also used them for my intercessions for the saints that the Lord asked me to pray for over the years.  I still pray these today, and what a glorious blessing they have been.
